Same! Figured we’d mix up the video content since we were just lounging around town lol

Yessss! Peak Refuels are the best, especially the Thai Chicken Coconut Curry, yummm! Good-To-Go are delish as well and #cleaneating. Saw y'all were eating this at the shelter hehe. Will try the Apline start, thanks for the rec!
Btw, I am enjoying the videos a lot and appreciate you sharing as we are at home or wherever (not on trail!)

Oh nice I just got the coconut curry today! And the biscuits and gravy - I’ve heard that one is amazing.

@@heather__hikes Yes girl!!! The coconut curry really hits the spot when it's chilly/super cold out. Definitely my go-to backpacking meals and the Mountain House Chili + Meat with some Frito Scoops! So yummy and comforting. The biscuits and gravy is definitely better than Mountain House! Let me know you like/dislike the coconut curry & enjoy! 😃
Also, I'm going to show my husband the part where you two were joking on each other about organization of the food bags! It's the Ying and the Yang! 🤣

The delay could be a blessing in disguise. Very possible your bodies required the rest to avoid any otherwise injuries. Plus you got to eat lots of yummy town foods!

Gatlinburg is good but you will be glad to escape the vortex and return to trail. Hope the rest of the Smokies are kind to you. Stay strong. You've got this.

Glad you guys can get back on trail, but the break was probably pretty beneficial. Also, I think you need to add the Thanks tab so your viewers have an opportunity to show you guys some love. Have fun in the Smokies!

Absolutely amazing. I recommend you visit k2 and Nangaparbat view point from one place. Whenever you start a short solo trip of 4-5 days, Moses Peak is a must. It is a 5300m height۔ from the top of moses pea which you can see the views of the K2 world second highest peak in the world, Nangaparbat, K6 k11 and K 12 views in one frame. best time from May to October. This is a family tracked.its open Zone, one did not need a trekking permit or have to pay Royalty fee to climbed this Mountain tower

Have you tried the Peak biscuits & sausage gravy yet? It’s really good for dinner.

Those peak meals are about $14 on Amazon. Do you guys see what you think to be inflated prices along the trail on this stuff? Love this video btw thank you for taking the time.

I feel like the prices are higher in these little mom and pop operations in smaller towns. We lived in DC immediately prior to trail so we’re (unfortunately) already used to high prices of pretty much everything 🤣🥲

Prices of backpacking meals are crazy expensive specially compared to a cheap hostel with meals. Might as well at least eat & pay for a day pass.
Mustard packets are a great idea to have in your first aid too. It works as a great burn medicine. Many medics use it. Also for sore muscles I’ve heard - but that smell 😂

One thing that will help with your gut feeling unhappy is chewing. When you are eating the protein bars, or especially if you have a protein drink you need to CHEW. That is signaling your system to get to work. Take a lot of small bites and chew thoughtfully.
