    Great advice about getting used to falling. I'm 50 years old and I have lately done a shoulder stand with someone's support for a couple of times. That's what I'm afraid of - how I'm going to fall if I I do fall. I shouldn't be afraid cause I can easily do the wheel but still

    Your video is super nice :) I have been practicing yoga for 23 months, Pincha is my favorite pose, and yes, I destroyed my elbows quite a few times, bleeding on my yellow yoga mat, before they finally got used to practicing Pincha !

    I just found you and I have to say I usually never comment on TH-cam BUT I have to say, you are so motivating. I've been doing yoga for seven years, I've done a teacher training and taught for a while, I used to be super consistent and then I hurt my back. Since then I'm lacking the motivation and the trust in my body. I never achieved doing pincha and this is the pose I really want to nail one day. After seeing your year long yoga journey and this really fun video on pincha I feel motivated. You are very relatable and I just wanted to say, thank you for that!

    Pincha was so much easier for me than handstand 😅 I got my pincha on my third try but I still can’t do a handstand after years

      Hey! Don’t worry, handstand is such a demanding posture, that requires lots of work. Don’t put yourself into the timeframes you think you are supposed to get it by, that can take away the fun of it. Hope you are enjoying your practice and as long as you are consistent and pay attention to details, you will definitely get it on your own time!

    In the beginning of the video i noticed your elbow pads and i wanted to ask at the end of the video where do you get these from and then right in the middle of the video you drop this elbow saving diy tip! omg i'm so amazed of these little and sooooooo cheap trick - also it's such an nice upcycling diy thing for old socks!!! love it :'D ♥

    Looking at how you fall I think I want to work on my backends before inversions, so I can get my feet down to catch me the way you do.

      Ahah to be honest I am a horrible example at how you should fall, there are ways to make it safer. You can always use a wall as well, that’s how I started! But back flexibility and strength is always an amazing thing to practice for any posture! Good luck!

    Hii! Thanks a lot for your videos!😍 i also watched the one where you share your experience with 365 days of yoga. Now my question is; before you started with yoga. Were you already able to do some upside down positions? Because for me it seems so unreachable- but you really give me hope😅

      Thank you for your comment! I didn’t do anything upside down before yoga, other then messing around on trampoline and sand, but I’ve always loved the idea of being upside down and yoga made it realistic for me. Hope you will discover your way to it, it’s so much fun and a great workout!

    Omg I wish i knew the elbow trick! I managed to hold a pincha for the first time (after 2 hours of trying) but i got my elbows bleeding. Now i want to practice more but this rug burn doesnt heal! It keeps bleeding everytime i try to practice and the pain makes it hard to focus

      I totally feel this.. there’s not a lot to do other than rest and continue when you’re more healed. I’ve learned it’s not a race especially when I need to recover, good luck ☺️

      Thank you!! That means a lot.. I started doing more drills and understanding them after a few months of consistent classes and flows. You can really start doing drills as early as you want as long as you have a vision of what you want to achieve in your practice. They were super helpful for me, especially to do harder poses.     Hi molly, what I'm asking myself is, are these positions meant to be held squeezed and tucked?
    Or is that the beginning, and the more you progress, the more relaxed you can hold it?
    I always ask myself this for all those positions where a lot of strength is required.

      Hey! Good question, I definitely love that relaxed state in such strong inversions, however relaxed doesn’t mean not engaged. At first that squeeze is something that you put lots of effort in and when your body is getting used to be fully engaged, it’s a beautiful state I would call relaxed in engagement, where I am fully aware of my body and I feel light because I can fully control my tuck and enjoy the posture because I feel my body being fully in it. It definitely comes with practice, I have these moments sometimes and they are priceless! Enjoy!

    Sorry to disagree there's no way forearm stand is harder than handstand. Ive practiced handstand for about 2 years and it took me quite a long time to become proficient and the very first time I tried pincha i got it first go. I know a lot of people that can do pincha and cant hold a handstand. The handstand you need to workout how to save falling by pressing heels/finger tips into ground to correct under/overbalance. The balance point for pincha is so much larger I was able to go in any shape I wanted which I would find difficult in handstand as my transitions between shapes need work in a handstand. If you can handstand you are obviously proficient at stacking the body correctly and thats why pincha is so easy for people who are good at handstands
