"I think you might be so sure you're one in a million, that, sometimes, you forget that out there you're just one in eleven"... that quote is so powerful I went back to hear it like 3 or 4 times...

Beard overcommitting to the bit with Ted's irl coaching makes me so happy, like how he literally THREW HIMSELF OUT OF A CHAIR to play along with Ted getting Nate to believe in himself. Ted and Beard are a dynamic duo and I love them

I discovered this show on a cross continent flight through a really low point in life. I have been watching it over and over again for the last 6 months coz it gives you the kind of comfort nothing else can give. The last season is flawed and yet you overlook it coz this show gave you so much.

The beautiful thing about Ted telling Jamie he's a great player but he wants to see him become more of a team player, is how genuine Jamie is. For the first time, we get to see the real Jamie. He probably expected to get berated, like hie would with his father, but instead he gets gets fenuine praise he hasn't gotten before. And ted's advice is really more like fatherly wisdom. Jamie never had that before, and you can genuinely feel the words reach him.

@@Coopyi it doesn’t mean you get to hurt people, but the truth of being human is that sometimes you DO hurt people and make big mistakes. That also doesn’t mean a person is a lost cause for forever. Ted Lasso is a beautiful show all about having empathy for others even through the most complex and ugly parts of being human. Nate’s storyline is in this show for a reason, to show that people may really hurt others but that it might stem from their own personal damage, and also maybe that redemption is possible even for those who made big mistakes. Forgiveness and empathy are such huge themes in the show.

But he's someone in life who percieves everything as a slight. Look how he takes banter from everyone, but can't take it from Colin. How when he assumed he was sacked as kit man, he insulted Rebecca before he realised he got promoted. And the picture. Nate is an example of a damaged person who got more opportunities under Ted but still felt Ted was getting all of Nates "Credit".
