God I loved Coach Beard. He seems like a straightforward weird fella, then we learn how Ted basically saved his life. And how he has such loyalty for Ted that he’s about ready to abandon his lover and it’s tearing him apart. The man will follow Ted across the ocean, to the edges of the earth. And Ted tells him to go and be happy, it’s just beautiful
I love Ted Lasso and Rebecca’s relationship - two people who are completely platonic but yet understand each other deeply, it’s rare that leading men and women have platonic relationships - and when it’s done right the dynamic is amazing
The scene between Roy and Nate was so cool. Great acting. "You kicked the ball like you caught it f-ing your wife..." One of my favorite lines about Roy's character.
4:40 I love this scene. Roy is ready to hear whatever Nate has to say but he doesn't want him hiding behind the paper. If he's going to confront him then Roy is oging to make him say it directly to his face.
I grew up with football (soccer), hated it, didn't want to watch Ted lasso because it's about football. I was bored, nothing else to watch gave it a try and was hooked after 5 minutes. Watched everything, rewatched it a couple of times, cry and laugh all the time. The best show ever.
Never really thought about it until now, but Nate's words to Roy was basically foreshadowing for Nate's own arc later on. The pitfalls of bottling up anger. Actually, that applies to almost all of his words to the team. Fear of looking bad. Fear of failing. Man, what a good ass show this was.
Every scene in the series is the best Ted Lasso scene. But if I had to pick one (or two) it would be Roy Kent's press conference tied with Ted's dart game with Rupert.
The darts scene is my personal favorite of the entire series. My best friend showed me that scene to pitch the show to me. He knew his target audience, so to speak, and he chose well.
The player next to Issac during Nate’s pregame speech was funny, too. The player is “hiding” by covering his face with his hoodie. Teenage boy avoidance tactic #2. Ignoring altogether is #1 for all teenagers. 😊
I started watching this show during a weird time in my life. The stuff that Ted goes through and he just continues to beat to this same drum the entire time. No one ever breaks his positive outlook on everything. I learned a lot from the character. I think we all could.
I spent Christmas 1990 in London walking about 10 miles to a party and back during the day. The thing that struck me the most was the lack of people on the streets. It was like a ghost town with 6 million people living in it all locked away doing their thing.
@@PlayItOnEasy I watched it in April since I just got AppleTV for the sole purpose of watching Masters of the Air but after I was done with that I still had AppleTV for the better part of a month. I think its best sometimes to watch to a show is at least a few seasons deep since you can binge several seasons in a row.
Infinitely rewatchable. Once or twice a year i find myself in a soccer mood and i binge ted lasso, all or nothing: Arsenal and the movie Will. If you like soccer and havent seen Will... Youre welcome.
The show is just full of heart. Acting, writing, emotions, etc. There's so much learning curve in they teach it. It's amazing. Character arcs are also amazing. Especially Jamie Taart. And the fact that this show genuinely is unpredictable as well is great. First season, we thought ted would pull off wonders in the end to keep them safe in the league when he got relegated. Of course then throwing people off course when he said they were gonna win the whole thing. Then scraping a promotion in the championship when we thought he was gonna win it the second season. And then the third season when they had a great start to then falling apart and then bringing it back up after people thought he was gonna do it and going back to his final words from s1 finale just to be heartbroken in the end. This show isn't really a football show at all but more about how each individual needs each other and that's incredibly powerful. I still hate them for not doing season 4 or continuing the show but ending it on a low for the team but a high for all of the characters in the show was satisfying enough in the end. I personally think it's one of the best shows ever written. Not the best show ever in general but the way it's written is perfect. Take a bow Jason Sudeikis and Brendan Hunt and the other writers. Not only did those 2 act in the show but they were the integral part of the writing process. Awesome!
I hate what this show has done to me. Started watching it the other week, finished this weekend, already did a rewatch and now im watching Best Scenes on YT. Please make it stop
does anyone watch West Wing? I find the writing in Ted as good as that. It's smart, funny, pulls at the heart strings.. just wondering if anyone else binges both?😊
West wing. Politics for Americans who want to feel good about themselves... just enough reality, so they don't ask questions and still feel like the "good guys." Not enough reality to know what's really going on. American exceptionalism garbage.
Fun fact : The expression cats pajamas comes from a famous man named E.B. Katz made silk pajamas for the royal family in the 1800’s. Then American started using it as slang in the 1920’s for someone cool.
The scene with Nathan is hard to watch, especially the part with Colin. On the first watch all you see is Nathan standing up for himself with confidence and sass, once you've seen season 2 you know that this moment is pretty much Nathan learning that the right way to act is by being derogatory and disrespectful, and that's what he does from this moment forth until he learns better at the end of season 2.
Disagree - Roy was actually helping Nate. Gave him a challenge and an opportunity to rise to it. Roy Kent style. Nate returned the favour: Speaking Truth to Power. It was at this moment, Nate became truly great.

Im seriously struggling to want to watch anything else, ever again. We've tried two new shows since we finished last week and couldn't get through an episode. Ted lasso kinda wrecked me.
Ted Lasso was a good show with a great premise that ultimately crumbled under the weight of expectation. Ted's a good guy who sticks to his good guy persona as if he'd spontaneously combust if he deviates in anyway. Watching his love life or lack thereof shows how immature he really was in a lot of ways. His anxiety and depression were all hallmarks of trauma experienced in his childhood that he simply never confronted. I mean let's be honest when Nate the Great has more balls and genuine masculine energy than Ted you know you've got issues. 😂❤

❤❤❤❤❤
@@fayesouthall6604 It’s a beautiful thing called “true friendship”. He lets Ted go, knowing that Ted wants him to be truly happy.
You say that, but his relationship with her was pretty toxic.

The scene between Roy and Nate was so cool. Great acting. "You kicked the ball like you caught it f-ing your wife..." One of my favorite lines about Roy's character.
That's an easy line. "You used to run like you were angry at the grass." THAT is clever.
Just now realizing that Rupert’s office looks like the Death Star Throne Room in Revenge of the Jedi
Dude, You beat me to it. 😂
Return of the Jedi
It is 🤣🤣
@@ostarrry It was autocorrect but the movie was called Revenge of The Jedi until a few weeks before was released
Check out the way his assistant is dressed and it is very Star Wars Empire-ish, as is Rupert's wardrobe in the final episode.

Got hooked after seeing the darts reel
Watched the first episode fell in love, it’s just the most wholesome show with deep and meaningful moments so much wisdom you can get from this.
Never really thought about it until now, but Nate's words to Roy was basically foreshadowing for Nate's own arc later on. The pitfalls of bottling up anger.

I think the darts game is monumental
Uncle's Day was pretty great also but Roy's press conference was amazing also.
The darts scene is my personal favorite of the entire series. My best friend showed me that scene to pitch the show to me. He knew his target audience, so to speak, and he chose well.
When the new Kit Man kid is dressed as Coach Beard and screams "Let's go baby!" I think that might be the hardest I've laughed in the last 10 years.
"BBQ sauce🎉"
The "oh no" from Sam is so good. Perfect delivery
The player next to Issac during Nate’s pregame speech was funny, too. The player is “hiding” by covering his face with his hoodie. Teenage boy avoidance tactic #2. Ignoring altogether is #1 for all teenagers. 😊
Love comparing the "coach" airline experience Lasso had on his flight over to the "1st Class" experience when he left at the end.
Idk, the amount of room they've got there is definitely not a typical economy experience 😂
I think one of the most underrated parts of this show is the score. Always the right music and always good music
Once in your life there comes a show which wrecks you as it ends, ted lasso was one of them for me

Nate roasting the players to hype em up and them flabbergasted after it dropped gets me.

Best ted lasso scene is the whole show
Amen to that 👌👌👌👌
One of my favorites is in the finale when ted recognizes the offside and beard owes him money
