    • @MightyWarriorCoalition

      Difference is miles bridges didn’t speak ill of his teammates. So regardless of what he’s done outside of the league, the team chemistry never suffered because of it.
      But with this dude, he did speak ill of his teammates, which destroys team chemistry. That’s the difference in this situation. Another variable is … how does his team feel about the stuff he was doing? That could be playing a part in this as well.

  • @ivaneurope
    @ivaneurope ปีที่แล้ว +5

    The Hornets didn't want more issues on their hand - the franchise is ungergoing a transformation under new ownership and that ownernship group wants to start on a blank canvas. It's bad enough that they have to deal with the Miles Bridges related issues (which as of writing this comment have gone even worse), we had other Hornets players like PJ Washington, James Bouknight and even recent draftee Brandon Miller getting into trouble as well (Miller's was before draft day though) and now they had to deal with obviously on drugs (alegedly) Kai Jones insulting his teammates and maybe even the coaches, front office or even ownership on social media. And considering that his trade value has been cranked up to negative 100 after his viral antics, meaning that to trade him the Hornets have to give up more stuff like an unprotected 1st round pick, the franchise had no choice, but to waive Kai Jones. And sadly for him, I don't think any NBA franchise will want to touch him for a while. Today's NBA youth is taking the game very unseriously. In the past 7-8 draft classes alone I don't think we've had that many players that had troubles with the law or giving into bad influences than all of the draft classes before them. We had Ja Morant going viral in a night club with REAL gun in hand. We had players like Zion Williamson or Ben Simmons who would rather date models or strippers than improving their game. And then, we have the cases of Kevin Porter Jr. and Miles Bridges, who have been convicted for domestic violence.

    The NBA is at a really vital point with guys like Kai & Morant doing what they do and pushing to see what the league will do.
    In the 70’s and 80’s it was coke. They put their foot down and got it out of the league.
    Now the NBA will have an influx of 18 to 20 YOs who are doing no college, staying in HS or prep, throwing them bigger contracts than ever and with more ways to expose themselves and the league than ever before.
    I think there is an arrogance among fans and the league that they could never be conceived of as unpopular or representing things contrary to what their viewers believe in.
    Guys have had their careers ended overnight for what Kai Jones broadcasted. I can’t imagine him sweating and acting like that on camera because of something other than drugs. Lol

    While less talented and less gifted youngster dream about making it to the NBA the talented players in the NBA players would rather do something else.

    Kai has obvious talent, idk what he has going on. Something mentally or he’s geeking off something, 1 of the 2. Or he’s trolling there’s that small possibility but I’d doubt that. Miles Bridges is the one I’d cut.

    Coming in a little late, but caught the Clippers news. Wow, his intellect in discussions at the younger ages, does give you a understanding there were somethings not ideal that slowed him down into an NBA Player. That said, when you see the court movement, how can you not scratch your head and go, WTF, where has this guy been. Never the less, having a Westbrook, Kawhi, Paul, Harden, along with Lue, can clean this kid up, he doesn't need much but the Life Tool of having prospective with all the nonsense going around. Simple, but sometimes, vices in life, appear larger than what they really are. Mental can take you a long way, channeled properly. If this kid gets the mental side down, he's right, could be a GOAT.

  • @3xtrey421
    @3xtrey421 ปีที่แล้ว

    The Crazy thing is that the kid has the potential to be a lob Threat like Giannis . Just like when the Knicks had Obi Toppin you had to always watch the sky to make sure that he wasn’t going to catch it . The Knicks wasted the Opportunity with OBI but I think Kai would be perfect . 6’11 and light on his feet he would be perfect defensively when Randle isn’t available to hold his man . Jones can give our lineups ups much needed height and replaces OBIs lob Presence . If not the Knicks I would want to see him on the Warriors learning behind Draymond . At the End of the Day Kai Needs Guidance and a Mentor

    His dad as a former athlete should take action, get him to dye his hair back to black for one. Get him off whatever he is on, if he is on something. Get him training daily and then get his agent to have him sit down with teams to show he has matured. Kai is very well spoken and comes across educated/intellectual so he has to fix it before its too late. But I definitely think his dad needs to step in and help straighten him out! From a basketball POV, I can see him fitting in very well with teams that need an athletic big off the bench for 15-20 mins a game. Think John Isaac, maybe the nuggets or clippers make sense.
