CIG spent more than a decade talking about how amazing they were and how everything was going to be tops. In reality they have never learned to focus or plan and what we have is a mish-mash of disconnected ideas smeared on top of a broken foundation. I have been in since day 1 in 2012, and while I was happy to give them 4x more time than they said they would need and to see them raise 13x more money than they said they would need to give them time and runway to cook, it's obvious that they just aren't able to do the basics. Think about how they've been leading us on since citizencon 2023 with the talk of an 'inflection point' and that things would really change now! Fast forward 15 months and it's still scuffed on both live and preview. Arguably their UI has got worse, and while they've managed to deliver a very rough prototype of server meshing they've also dramatically reduced scope by cutting features like NPC AI they owe us until 'maybe after launch'.
SC is just a shit game, for a couple of years that's forgivable, but not for the amount of time this game has been in developement. I sure hope the company goes bankrupt with a big public crash, they deserve it for scamming all their fans.
On the end of the day, at least there's still ED with colonization soon and we hope SE2 that restore some sanity while we hope CIG can get their act together. Its just ridiculous how slow they move while much smaller teams deliver twice as much and even more beautiful work with way less bugs. - Take care out there commanders.
Wait, Elite Dangerous has twice as much content as STar Citizen? With salvaging? Bunkers? Distribution centres? Colonial outposts? Hover bikes? Racing? And capital class multi-crew ships?

And yes, Star Citizen does have orbust exploration mechanics, since you can land on every planetary body. And yes, you can use scanning to discover resources in asteroid belts, on planetary surfaces and in caves (do they even have caves in Elite?). Yes, they have rep, in Pyro the rep determines what services you can use at various stations and who you can become affiliated with. And yes, they have massive stations for trades and repairs. They also have actual ship interiors.
We as the playerbase of this broken downright unplayable game more often than not…. we should not give our money for CIG anymore. The ships they release are soon to be nerfed as well as the older models nerfed so the newer ships look amazing just to be nerfed later on and promises not kept on ships sold. We can make them change there ways just by simply not funding the game via our purchases. Untill they focus on the consistent stable playability of this game.. the game we funded and hoped and believed or dreamed it would be they don’t deserve our support. Change can happen but we must affect there funding for it to work
Yes, stop funding the game and the devs stop getting paid, and the game stops getting made. It worked out well for Star Atlas -- look how much content they've released since losing 230 million (viz., no new content has been released).

At the start of star citizen we were told a story that Chris had been held back by those greedy publishers that were starving pc gaming of attention for the consoles, and that we would get to see what he was capable of without the oppressive mandates of a publisher. In a twisted way we got exactly that and have learned that Chris is just not capable of delivering a game without an oppressive presence to force him to deliver, or remove him from the studio as happened with Freelancer, or to remove him from responsibility as happened with wing commander. The sunk cost fallacy has people frightened that if we stop funding then they will stop developing, but the alternative is to waste literal billions more in the vain hope that the people who have wasted the first billion and decade plus will be responsible with the next.
For me it's like we've expanded the universe but reduced the gameplay with loads more bugs added in. It's worse than the normal star citizen experience. I just wish they didn't rush it out. I know loads of new players who got a ship package and couldn't play the game because of how bad it actually was. They've since uninstalled the game and basically feel scammed. CIG need to make sure the patch they advertise to the masses, is actually playable. I stopped playing the live build 3 weeks ago and won't be coming back until they get a live build out worth playing. If they want us to test, then let us test. Don't put out advertising for a fully fleshed out patch release as click bait when all they have is something that truly makes them look like they are all talk and no walk.
The Star Citizen community some how thinks that 13 years of crappy servers is somehow going to "disappear" and the game will suddenly run like a AAA game despite an almost billion dollar investment and the fact the servers have zero AI or NPC's running the verse (As CR said, 90% of the verse will be run by NPC's) CR also confirmed there will be no ALPHA or BETA when the FULL game is released with 1.0 ( He said that's the game, no more wipes) Which is effectively admitting, this was the game all along, just wipes. They very well might make more systems and fancy looking planets, but it will still be the same buggy awful experience that has turn so many of us away. SC was never a scam, just a giant let down.
This is one of my biggest concerns. I feel as if I have become part of a cult. Even now after 13 years I want to believe it will get better, but as time has gone on.... I do not feel convinced.
Hang on...Pyrotechnics Amalgamated went to try to extract resources but found it to be too difficult because of the constant solar flares. That's why there are only "gold rush" types out there trying to make a living... and loads of pirates that were kicked out from other systems.
Impossible to play with other people, right now I’m stuck for days in Orison because there are no shuttles. Other time the spaceport had no elevators, got 30016 today as well. Impossible game.
That is the most accurate description of the star citizen experience I’ve ever heard; “I don’t enjoy Star Citizen but that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy moments within Star Citizen”. The best, simplest summation I’ve heard in 5!years of supporting this ‘project’ which will now help me to describe my experience to others as a gypseys warning in an articulate way. I free played witha year ago and thought it was trash after so much time. Played in Dec 4.0 preview on my buddies alt account. I was blown away I bought the game with a 325a and I CCUing my way to a starlancer max. It's crumbling now but the 4.0.1 fixes seem to help with alot of major breaks. If they could just stabilize what they have right now server, hanger mission loading there would be something to recommend as a pre alpha lol
@Stewey I'm trying. Currently, if I purchase the starlancer upgrading from an lti pulse. I would be $140 all in with current sales. I'm still very new and hearing I should ignore these sales. I went starlancer-terrapin medic-f7 ghost- prospector for 30.
@@Billy-bc8pk I don't think so. Just have it so that self reviving is as basic and bringing you back to life if not permanently killed. Medics should be able to treat more serious wounds on the battlefield. Inject stronger meds. etc.
I’d be happy to delete pyro if it meant more stability. There is no point venturing beyond a star system if the current one is riddled with bugs. They need to focus on performance.
i would be more down for more group activities if the game was stable... just so that we can get out and go instead of dealing w/ server hopping and party marker issues, lag, elevators, basically the game... cuz what one shit experience that should take me like 10min to prep for with 3 others has now become an 1.5hr long process.
i feel like people think that if they’re game doesn’t work, nobody else’s game works. its a preview, expect it gang. with that being said they’re focusing on stability this year so hopefully they’ll mot out the bigger bugs and make it decent to play

They got server mesh and Pyro in. Which was there alleged biggest hurdle. In 12-18 months we shall see.

If you can self-revive then it defeats the purpose of medical gameplay.
