When you are united on foolishness you are not really united. They had a border deal and tanked it.
In a perfect presidential debate, Trump would lash out against that bipartisan border deal like it was the worst thing ever concocted by human beings, and then Kamala Harris would start to ask Trump about details of that border deal, and it would turn out that Trump has no clue what it is about.

I think sometimes we miss the big picture. I think that there is a group of people that will never vote for Donald Trump. They will always vote for the opposite. Just like there are Republicans that will never vote for Democrats. I think what is often overlooked is the amount of people that dislike Donald Trump. Every demographic needs to turn out period! As a younger voter I have alot going on (school, constant moving, mental health, etc.) that I was going to delay registration. The election wont' be close and this is why. Over 20.2 million baby boomers have died since 2016, that is a lot of voters, since then 41 million Gen Z voters have come into voting age and 8 million since 2022. 63% of that generation swing democrat and heavy democrat. Normally young voters don't vote, but this generation I think will be different and it is because of social media. Student loans, abortion, affordable housing, healthcare (most don't have it) are all very specific issues to them. As she said above, other democrats see that things are changing and this is probably one of those major changes. The election the last time had Biden up by 8 million in the popular vote, I know the popular vote doesn't determine a winner, but things are on the margin as it is. No polling data can "see" the large drop in republican votes, because polls are a very small sample and the election is the actual count. We shall see if the win by Harris is a major shift towards the democrats. I'm not saying for sure, but if you do see some type of landside on the democratic side, this could be the major reason. We will know because the breakout of young to old voter turnout will be known after the election.

When people find out more about Kamala's policies, you can bet the reaction is going to be "wait one minute, THAT's her policies?" rather than embracement. lol what? Please read and understand how polling works and how they adjust for factors like this.
Also, there are more young people that can vote, yes, but at the same time, there are new republicans because as people get older, at around age 45, they become more conservative. The same person who is 45 now, would have called himself a liberal 20 years ago. This is how and why most of the country seems to remain at a roughly equal divide, politically. What matters more is the SHIFT WITHIN age ranges, as well as ethnicities. Pretty much every group other than white men, vote democrat more often. But with whites becoming a smaller portion of the country, it seems inevitable that conservatism will eventually go extinct in the future. BUT, young white male teens are actually more conservative than they were 20 years ago, and by a very large margin. In fact there's as many moderate white teens, as there are white teens who are firmly on the right. Now most of these teens wont be able to vote in this election, but next election, they will. But even white teens are dwindling compared to non white teens, who as I said, tend to vote liberal.
EVENTUALLY, this shift will result in the fact that even if whites were overwhelmingly conservative, they cannot win conservative elections by the numbers. I would imagine in this scenario we'd see Balkanization soon after since whites would feel disenfranchised that their vote holds no power anymore.
