    So much promise for Ukraine as shown in the media. The question is, how much of these promises reach on the battlefield. It can be less than half of what has been promised. There are also many restrictions on Ukraine when Russia does anything it wants.

    • @martavdz4972
      @martavdz4972 8 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      They do, but slowly. Our (Czech) ammunition initiative is delivering ammunition to Ukraine, but it's less ammunition a month, over a longer period of time, than promised. As I understood, some of it came from Africa and had been stored in high temperatures for a very long time, so our army is checking if it's not damaged. With other weapons, it's often the problem that their parts were manufactured by several different countries, some of which aren't in NATO and take some time to give permission, like Switzerland.

    Ben Hodges is right. As an ex soldier, as I am one too, there is no other way to think about it. Ukraine needs all possibilities to beat the Russian army, especially to eliminate the long range threats of aviation and rockets. Everybody who says anything else, is lying or is a military layman or both.
    There will be no just peace, including the integrity of the Ukrainean boders of 1994, without the defeat of the Russian army in Ukraine. If, for this defeat, it is necessary to strike Russian ressources deep into the Russian borders, than this needs not only to be permitted, but openly supported by the Western leaders.
    On the other hand I'm convinced that Ukraine is working hard on developping its own long range strike capabilities. This just will take some more time. If the West would deliver, probably thousands of lifes could be saved in Ukraine. The sooner this war ends, the better and the winner will be that party, which can supply its troops faster, longer and better. The West has to supply Ukraine better, longer and much faster, than in past time, than Russia and its allies can perform. We have the abilities to stop this war in short sight, but we aren't using them.
    This political undecisiveness ist really ashaming and costs Ukrainean lives, every day.
    Regards Th. Krapf

      The west has expended all possibilities to beat Russia - economic warfare, military warfare. The Russians are too powerful.

    .The U.S. and the rest of the NATO members should give Ukraine all the military support that it needs until this war can be brought to an end that favors Ukraine.
    The reality, is that the U.S. and the U.K. owe it to Ukraine to help them in their defense against Russia. In 1994, the U.S. and the U.K. signed the Budapest Memorandum along with Russia.
    As part of this agreement, Ukraine unfortunately agreed to give up the huge arsenal of nuclear weapons that it had inherited from the Soviet Union. In exchange for giving up its' nuclear weapons, Ukraine received security guarantees. Russia as would be expected, did not live up to its' promises to Ukraine. The U.S. and the U.K. should continue to honor this agreement.
    If Ukraine had not given up its' nuclear weapons, Russia probably never would have attacked it. At a minimum, Ukraine should have learned that Russia can never be trusted. Russia is a worthless dictatorship that is ruled by a worthless dictator.

We have signed for peace in 1994, the right to determent our life and to respect each others territory. Now we have to defend this agreement, peace and freedom does not always come for free.

      Why do people keep spamming nonsense about Budapest Memorandum? Did you read it before talking about it? literally on the 1st page it says involving parties cant get involved in Ukraine's internal affairs and then US spends $5bil to overthrow Ukrainian government and even sends top government officials directly to Kiev to encourage rioters... Also on the 1st page there is a reference to UN resolution Article 1 (2) 3743 that guarantee peoples self determination. Not to mention that Russia became the successor of USSR by taking the entire USSR dept upon itself. So everything that belonged to the government of USSR became Russian property. Anyhow it was Ukraine who sold engine schematics to north Korea and enabled it to have ballistic nukes. You dont know what and who are you talking about...

      I acknowledge your point, but the Kremlin had complete control of all the nuclear system code. Thus, those nuclear weapons would have been just rounded metal with no regular maintenance. On the other hand, Ukraine was extremely poor and corrupt after 1990, so there was a high risk of the whole weaponry falling into the hands of a terrorist or non-Western regime. It's important to remember the transfer of Soviet missile technologies from Ukraine to Iran. If the Iraqi regime or the Lybian regime had been granted access to some Soviet mobile nuclear systems, what would have happened? At the time, taking those weapons from Ukraine was the best option.
