Make a playlist of songs that are similar to your song and include your song in the playlist. This teaches the Spotify algorithm what vibe your song is.
It always starts with the song. Make it unique, innovative, clever, original, and with heartfelt feeling. Then follow through with expert production, performance, arrangement, and recording. But the song is the spark, soul and seed you need before you start anything else.
Make sure you see "si" in the Spotify link when sharing because this will take them directly to the app instead of them having to log into the browser.
One of the biggest tips ill ever give is to make sure your pre save link is easily accessible to your fans on social media platforms. Instagram doesn’t allow these links directly but TikTok and Facebook do. Put the pre save links in your bio as well as on your posts.
Excellent advice about frequency of release We are recording an album of songs but after listening to you we will release three to four tracks as we record them, which suits our method of working too. Nice one. Paul Divine Nation.
It might be quite "cheesy" to do but TikTok is a cool way to get engagement with an audience. Countless friends of mine that are artists have so many ideas that they religiously have for TikTok Videos and using other social media platforms to garner their attention.
Release a small podcast on Spotify and break down the various aspects of the song e.g. the production process, lyrical intentions and background stories. This creates a more personal insight for the listener and will increase your exposure in a creative way :)
Create quality music, optimize your profile, pitch to playlists, promote on release day, boost engagement, target pre-saves, collaborate, and grow organically to get noticed by Spotify’s algorithm.
I mean, most distributors don't give you enough time to pitch it either. But either way, learn social media marketing! Don't pay to get on playlists. Knowing curators and getting their attention in a way that makes them want your song on their playlist and so they do it themselves is ideal, but it really is a dog eat dog world out there, unless you educate yourself (and dedicate begrudgingly) to good marketing practices.

Including cryptic captions to entice listeners to share your Canvas on social media. Also using Easter eggs or narrative loops to create intrigue

Love this idea! 👏
be original with your first song. once you have your first song released make songs that follow the same genre as your first one
Make a mini videoclip for reels and tiktok
Consistency once you figured out a routine

Spotify is dead TH-cam music better
Yeah playlist your songs with similar popular songs in the same genre. Submitting a pitch is useless.
