I have a 2019 X5 40i.....just installed the HPS Intake and BMS Charge Pipe (no map tuning).....it is a must have, this thing sounds GREAT, you can feel the extra HP pushing you back, the sound turbo going off and the air swooping in
@@JoseMendoza-h2g I haven't taken it to the Dyno yet... I have to do the trans tune.... Will post numbers when later on... I also did MHD tune ... Stage 2....way stronger than the time I commented before
for X5, never thought this sort of noise would be possible with just the intake upgrade right? my friend might do downpipes and maybe exhausts soon. Stay tuned!
@6:46 Btw it's completely normal. The turbo inlet you're looking at has a layer of oil... idk exactly why but had the same dilemma installing my intake. And as always good job with the install and video
The oil is from ur pcv. U can alway put a catch can to prevent it. Actually its better for direct injected engine since there is no fuel washing down the carbon build up.
I think you put the wrong screws for the maf, they probably sent some normal thread screws in the kit cause screws shouldn’t be tied up with so much friction, into aluminum
Can the dealer detect these changes when they plug the car in? The reason I ask is because the airflow sensor can probably detect a difference in airflow, which the car may record. If I have an engine problem and reinstall the factory air box before taking it back to the dealership, I’m curious if they will know it has been tampered with?
Sorry but this not a cold air intake, it will mostly get hot air from the engine and collect more dust from the engine bay! There's a reason why the OEM have a closed filter enclosure...
If you're in the US, you are protected by the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act. Dealers can not void your warranty just because you have an intake. They'd have to prove the intake caused an issue.
This is true, since CAI is now a factor that can void the whole engine warranty as well. Especially with Turbo engines, you will need a new tune up to go with the new AFR

How much more HP? 🤔

Are the gains noticeable in automatic? or only when using paddle shifting?
Best video ever thank you man
I have a 2019 bmw X5 40i putting this and JB4 tune
Did you do it?
Sounds so good! I love hearing the turbo go off, its all I do now on mine😁

oh wow that's a relief! Thank you! Thanks for watching :)
It helps to act as a seal and to trap dirt
Awesome tutorial. Im about to buywm it for my 2023 x5

I will get mine done when my warranty is up and also drop in the JB4 or JB+
Jb4 the full version
I’m sold ❤❤😂
Any HP gain? Website claims 22Whp
That’s the turbo inlet, completely normal for oil to be in there from the turbo
What would you suggest for the 2017 X6 Sdrive 35i

Where is the front lip spoiler from?
Were you shifting in the driving video? Or automatically?
Automatic manual mode
Share mod list?!
how does it sound when shifting below 3k rpm? like a soft normal acceleration in comfort mode

As far as I know this mod does not void any warranty but install at your own risk.

It's okay. You don't have to be sorry
does this void a warranty?
My guess is going to be, yes 😔

Can it fix for x7 40i ?
Yes, I have it on mine
@@SleeperG30how is the sound?

Did you notice any difference in speed?
Not sure if any power were gained but definitely gained more smiles per gallon.
CAI is a total waste of money and bad for your engine. Not that much more airflow but a lot more dust and particles in your engine.

@@thafreshmen1actually I am correct and there is plenty of tests you can see that show it. Fortunately don’t need it in my 22 X5M comp.
@@BeamerTime354 you can prevent it with a simple mesh over the filter itself
