I discovered this by accident' when moving my sewer line around while trying to unclog my black water tank. It has worked ten times on RV's, Travel trailers and fifth wheels. I am now the go to guy in my trailer/RV park. Please leave a comment and let me know if this works for you. Do it two or three time if necessary; It will work'.
@@michelerandall8249 you're probably going to have to drive the RV or trailer around for a little while to stir it all up, then try it; make sure there's plenty of water in the tank and plenty of water in the hose' and just keep going up and down with the hose like your plunger in it. Butt wipes don't belong in your RV tank; don't do that again!!

Yes, it really really works... EXCEPT for this minor detail when my helper dropped the line, one of my hose clamps popped off and the black water came out with such a pressure, there was shit everywhere and I am still having issue with the visual and feeling of shit in my shoes as I was wearing shorts! Other then that...👌

I have never heard of this. I have searched RV forums and websites for a long time looking for a good solution. I found this video in a link in the comment section on another video about unclogging. Somehow you need to spread this knowledge. Even the old people in Florida don't know about this.
This worked perfectly!!! I had a reverse-flow sprayer that wasn't doing the job. However, as the wife held the hose up near the ground hookup, I used the spray elbow to fill the hose. When it was full of clean water, she walked the hose back towards the tank. Clog cleared! Thanks again!

As careful (I'm a 10 year veteran at RVing!) as I am I inadvertently left the black valve open the other day. today I went to perform usual maintenance while my wife went for a walk and when I opened my bay door the black valve was left open! Oh nooooo! Crap! Tried to close it, nope. I had to keep opening and closing until it finally fully closed. Then filled the tank to 3/4, went to open and...nothing. First thing I did was stop went to TH-cam and watched your easy video and it worked! I'd give you $50 if I could. Again thanks man

The first time we used the tank flush and with the pressure after about 5 mins it worked. However after trying that the 2nd time it did not!! After watching several videos on unclogging black tanks and trying them out none worked! So I am happy we came across your video and thank you for posting it! We did not want to have to try the technic of using an old sewer hose to put a small hole and put a wire hanger thingy (lol) in it to unclog. So again Thanks! ONE HAPPY CAMPER HERE :-)

So we’re complete newbies! 😭😭 Tonight was the night that we were supposed to clean our black tank first time, but pretty as soon as we opened it I knew something was wrong. It just barely dripped but that’s it, no gush. I haven’t yet tried this because it got dark and I just found your video out of pure desperation lol I poured some cleaner in there hoping to loosen up whatever is clogging it by morning and since our grey tank is practically empty, we’ll probably need to fill it first before trying! Thanks a bunch! I’m sure this will save thousands for people! Will keep you updated. Hopefully it works 🤞
Keeping the black tank valve closed until the tank is ready to dump is best. Make sure to start with a gallon of water in the tank after the tank is empty. Using septic tank safe paper and environmentally friendly chemical digesters is a plus
Great tip, just remember one problem that may not be fixed this way is a "pyramid" or stacked tissue directly under the stool outlet. Especially if wet wipes are frequently used. The pile up has to be pushed away from the toilet downspout.

The reason most "poop cones" form is because people leave the black water take valve open; and all the liquids drain out and just leave the poop to stack up and it petrifies into like concrete; at that point chemical's are needed to dissolve it; 50/50 liquid to solids is best for adequate flow.
@@rollshow3024 : that was actually a compounding problem for that one, as I found the valve couldnt completely close. Then used your brilliant solution that cleared out probably some wipes straggled there. After dealing with the "pyramid", all good except water pressure. Pump needs replacing.

That's actually how I discovered this possess; all the liquid had escaped, and filled the drain hose; I didn't understand were all the fluid went; so I picked up the hose to see if it was full', and that was when the fluid flowed back into the tank and refloated the solids; and the rest is history'. I've got a question I am stable hooked up to sewer and water And I just figured out recently that my black tank was getting full and not emptying it I have 3 tanks on my 5th wheel trailer There is no water in the Hose The way I understand it that my Gray water goes into the block water tank Do you have any ideas to get this one on unstopped Grant you I have figured out what I did wrong lol
It has to have a flexible sewer hose you can disconnect it from the sewer Outlet raise it up fill it full of water put a box under it so the water doesn't run out while you hook it up to the Sewer now you can open the black water valve and use that water in the hose to back flush your clog make sure you put as much water as you can in the holding tank also. If it's a fifth wheel and your black water tank is in the upper level you will need to use a lot of water in the hose and lift it very high so the water is pushed back into the tank. I hope this helps.
When I pulled the valve this morning everything came out.i did put a bottle of pine sol in overnight to loosen things up.thank you so much.it couldn't have been an easier fix!
You'll have to elaborate more so I can figure out what you did wrong', what type of RV are you working on trailer motorhome fifth wheel? you must not have lifted the hose up high enough to force the water back into the tank is all I can think.

What if it is old disposable wipes that are clogged down in the tanks? Like a year old

11:30 pm on 12/31/19 I tried this trick and it worked perfectly now sitting in my unclogged 5th wheel with 20 mins before the new year thank you mate.

What finally unclogged mine was vegetable oil, quarter cup overnight.

Is there a stopper on the end of the hose?
No stopper', leave the hose connected to the sewer inlet. and just raise the hose up near the end to fill it.
