@@GarageGymReviews what do you think of the arch nemesis bar by bells of steel for 199 dollars it’s a cambered Swiss bar that can be used as a cable attachment as well
Only issue I see with this bar is all the grips are cambered as well, making it essentially a flat Swiss bar. Look at rogue and elite fts. Their design has all the grips but 1 on the non cambered portion so you get more ROM, and it actually works as a cambered bar. REP bent the bar and moved the weight pins, but with the way the hand grips are set there is no ROM to be gained from the camber.
I hope you guys are noticing the immense difference in the comments between this video and your next one, this is the kind of content we come here for! Not an 'infomerical' that's more of an ad than anything else. Stay authentic, that's what has make GGR big!
It’s crazy the major manufacturers are literally making equipment based off your taste and videos. I mean laser etched end caps?! That’s a coop special
Just recently found your channel as I am getting over Covid. I want to say thank you for all the reviews. They are great honest and informative. I'm looking at power racks and now I'm going to transform my garage into a home gym. Great stuff! Great channel!
Only issue is the hand grips are all on the cambered portion of the bar, so it's just a regular flat Swiss bar unless you use the widest grips. Rogue and elite fts have grips on the non cambered portion and like 1 cambered grip, so you can actually take advantage of the camber for more rom.
The Titan one lets you utilize the camber feature of this style of bar better due to having the narrower set of handles on the outside of the camber. With this one you gotta use the outside handles if you want that deep stretch. Narrower handles tend to be more shoulder friendly for most people. The Rep is a nicer looking bar though.
I almost bought this bad boy, but went with the elitefts option instead. My main problem with the rep bar is all the grips but one are in the raised, cambered portion, of the bar. You may as well not even camber the bar at all if all of the grips are in the higher portion. It essentially makes it a flat bar. The elitefts bar is the opposite, 3 grips low and 1 in the higher cambered portion.
Love that it fits the narrow REP rack. Hope every specialty bar designers consider the rack width variation, at least from 41" (REP) to 43" (Rogue). You're selling speciality bars not only to your own rack owners.
Mine just came today I do like benching with it, wish it came down another inch as it feels like I'm only going an inch maybe two below where barbell is. The center grip is awesome for close grip bench, skull crushers and so much more. Nice way to add some variety at home!
Coop, please review the Rogue Multigrip MG - 4CN. One of the reasons that bar is attractive to me is that all of this equipment is difficult to compare to each other, unless you actually use it. With the MG - 4CN, it is so customizable that if you make a mistake you can simply adjust the width of the neutral grip and even the angles. Please review that one!
Ok, I understand the application of the Swiss part of this bar for grip options, potentially the utility of the load being on a slight camber… however for pressing movements with the exception of wide grip, I don’t see how the two narrow options make use of the camber feature? They don’t allow any greater range of motion than a Swiss/football bar, whereas the Kaddy bar at least looks like the curve allows some advantage in greater range. Am I missing something on that front?
Yes, watch Chris Duffin's video on camber. It does a good job explaining how camber does more than affect range of motion. Since all of the other grips are not in line with the sleeve/weight, they are all affected by the camber, just not the increased ROM.
Hey Coop! Where’s that direct comparison with kabuki you mentioned? Couldn’t find it. I have the kabuki now but thinking the rep might be a better fit for most home gym applications
Having just ordered my first REP equipment I must say there packaging is top notch. But man was it a PAIN IN THE A$$ to unbox a pallet worth of stuff from them. Everything was pristine though so worth it in the end.
I guess the next new feature for that kind of bar is a adjustable handle to set it where you feel comfortable and change the grip angle. Maybe a quick disconnect hook for the lat pull down that heavy duty.
Hey Coop, enjoyed the review. Wondering if a wing nut might give you the quick on and off option for the collars you were talking about. Like the eyelet it would be tool free.
I'd really like to see a head-to-head comparison between the Rep Cambered Swiss Bar and the EliteFTS American Cambered Grip Bar. I was going to purchase the EliteFTS one until I saw Rep was releasing their version. They're similar in price with EliteFTS being a little higher due to the cost of shipping. I'm torn. Which is better?
Sam Sam mayday, heeeelp. Lol when I got my multi grip bar and was trying to do the same weight, I realized it isn’t as easy. Takes more wrist stability as well, and those close grip presses are amazing
Coop and team, I would really like a comparison with other bars. Plus a recommendation on what orders to get specialty bars. For example I am building out my home gym and I have a Rogue Ohio Bar and a rackable curl bar. What would be the best next bar? Safety squat bar or maybe a swiss bar?
I have almost every specialty bar and I would suggest the safety squat bar for your next addition. The multigrip bars are a nice addition to your upper body training. It's basically the same exercises with a neutral grip. You can do almost the same thing with dumbells. The ssb is a game changer for your squat. You can't simulate that exercise with any other bar that I've used.
If a video like this gets made, could there be a minute for which bars fit the REP racks? Been frustrating trying to figure out X-compatibility for those smaller racks :-/.
Comparison video would be great. Also Like does the positions of the camber actually matter on this bar? It feels with the grips are all in the raised portion rather than the flat portion for the camber to matter.
I’m interested to see existed items pricing whether it tapers down or continues to rise. The purchasing team where I work is reporting the cost of steel going down, but aluminum is going up.
I am looking to get my first multi grip bar. But don’t know what to get. I love watching your videos, it’s always right on point with the products. Will you/ can you do a multi grip bar’s review. Thanks and keep up the amazing work.
No comment about how this only has one grip that can be used as a cambered? Elite FTS has 2 on the lower part of the bar and two on the upper. Kabuki is more like a curve. So this you seem to get only 1 grip that lets you get a bigger stretch versus others that have multiple.
Love your vids Coop. Keep up the good work! Also REP is great. I've been to their warehouse and picked up stuff. Would be cool if you did an interview/tour with them.
It would be nice if those sleeves quickly come out like Kabuki transformer bar does even at the risk of losing some stability - I really think this could be used as a pull up bar attachment.
Thank you for your video. I used to workout regularly in the gym with a trainer. I stopped about 3-4 years ago. I want to create a home gym. I am thinking about getting the Tonal and an Echelon Connect bike or a Nordictrack bike and a Fusion CST Studio. Any thoughts?
Will it be possible for you guys to review Force Usa and French fitness multifunctional trainers as most of are looking for a budget all in one equipment for our garages these days
Just waiting for the day when you say “F*?$ it, Companies have been hanging on their laurels for too long! We’ll GGR has now become an equipment company for Garage Gyms!”
I'm curious to know if doing skull crushers and curls with it would feel weird since it's cambered and the weight is "lower" then the center handle? I'd love to hear people's comments on this?!
Having the camber happen so far to the sides of the bar doesn't really let you take advantage of increase ROM using most of the handles, like the Elite FTS bar does. The Kabuki kind of falls in-between the two with the curve instead of the flat with cuts.
Coop, the cambered bar has an issue. Your grip is at the same level as the camber, so, you will not get the increased range of motion unless you get your grip more to the outside. Then, you will get the range of motion increase you are looking for. But, the other issue is the outer grips are so far outside that it is only useful for wide grip movements to get the increased range of motion. that can put some real strain on the shoulder.
Also, a few washers or an extra nut (lol) on the other side, between the eyebolt and the bar, should take care of that problem with the bolt poking you, right?
REP has some super interesting things coming down the road, nice to see companies not playing catch up from all the Covid issues.
Forreal. Been waiting for some new goodies for a while!

Just built my rep 5000 power rack and my new Ohio black on black power bar came in..,thanks for the reviews coop.
Just received mine yesterday. So far I have just used it for closed grip bench. Well worth the price and hype.
