The Titan cambered bar looks tight in the REP rack, how has that affected you in the real world? I like the price on the Titan but am worried about my rack.
What's use do you get out of the cambered portion when the grips are so far from center? I thought the point was to get a deeper stretch while benching.
Broski definitely trying to keep Rep happy. Shits on the Rogue RM-6, but loves the Rep 5000. Wants to keep the free Rep stuff coming. Going to impact his legitimacy in the long haul.
I paid for both 😂 Sorry to disappoint you but no loyalties here. When I pay a lot more I expect at least the same quality and I can't say I was delivered that with my RM6. If you paid attention in that review I said that saying negative things hurts any money I'd make so I'm not sure how you'd think me being honest with Rogue's rack would ever be a great business decision. If I wanted to make money and lie I'd have blown smoke up their ass, look elsewhere if you're looking for someone to agree with your purchases.
I agree 100% with your analysis regarding wrist issues. That’s why I purchased the ARCHON Multigrip Bar, at thirty (30) lbs I can use different grips with less poundage if I want to be careful. I love The Cambered nature of this bar and may consider purchasing the Rep Cambered Bar in the future, But more likely most for presses. I can do non press movements with the Archon,
Creep into some of the workouts and that "creep" watching you curl. Laughed out loud a few times. I'm glad you keep on buying things because I always look forward to your reviews. I was on the fence for this bar since my shoulder doesn't like bench very much. Guess I have to get out the credit card.
I like how the frame uses rounded tubing. I have the Titan cambered MG bar, and among other things, use it for hip thrusts. Anything over 315 starts to be uncomfortable, and I'm thinking the rounded frame would alleviate some of that. For sure, it won't bruise up the groin-level contact points that I always always always have fun explaining to my suspicious wife. I'm constantly reassuring her it's just from training and she has nothing to worry about. Luckily, my girlfriend doesn't care.
thanks for getting this review out so fast! Im impatiently waiting for mine to arrive. Im glad I held out for Reps version I think its gonna add a ton of versatility. I was wondering how it was attached for pulldowns but you covered that nicely…thanks you answered all my questions
awesome first look. I personally don't have any issues with my wrist being vulnerable to those additional forces but you aren't incorrect in your evaluation of that part of the bar. I also need to point out that a board press is absolutely possible with the kadi and the arch nemesis. It seems like Rep has really created their own space in the market for a "best value cambered bar" and I expect it to be wildly popular in home gyms. Awesome video as always and I'll start working on grabbing girthy objects now...
That's true you could flip the kadi but it's not going to be as comfortable (against the chest) especially on the Nemesis with that cable attachment part welded on. I think Rep's positioned themselves well here.
Great review. I think the main advantage of this bar other than price is the ability to fit better inside a 47” width rack. I think I will go with Kabuki when I get the doubloons.
I'd get Kabuki if using it for bench primarily and something like this if I'm searching for a bar that does more. And yes, that's a big advantage as my Titan and Bells do not want to fit without smashing my 47" rack.
No kabuki's will row well too because it's still a vertical movement. The only big difference they would be the cambers are different if that matters and Rep can hook to cables
So anxious for your take on the full cambered bar showdown 😬 My front runners are the Rogue (Kabuki) Kadillac or this Rep (though I suppose the Elite should be in contention too). The Bells is a solid value but loses me with the lighter weight, reduced build quality and most importantly that welded top hook. Cheers
Great review! I knew this bar would be sick, and it is, but appreciate you giving it a honest review. Me personally, I’ve never been a fan of powder-coated knurled handles.
There was no acting required by the wife at the beginning! Haha she sounds just like mine. Good video, but I still can't decide on going with a flat multi-grip bar for more versatility in other movements other than vertical presses vs a cambered one like this to help out my shoulders during heavy pressing 🤔
Unrelated I know, but have you ever heard anything anecdotally / looked into reviewing anything from ARCHON? That's a tough one. I'm poetically going to include Elite's in our big cambered bar showdown we're working on between Rep, Rogue, Kabuki, Bells, Titan... I like the hard chrome and Olympic sizes sleeves on Rep's even if I never really use the cable attachment. Rep's fits in a wider range of racks and weighing 45lbs is nice. I wish Elite would update things more 😕
I wonder since the bar is cambered if for curls and skull crushers if it would feel weird and unbalanced since the plates are "lower" then the center handles? Would love to get people comments on this
Nice to see your thoughts on this bar. I don't have any specialty bars at the moment, but this one is now on my radar. Any plans to review Rep's other specialty bars when they come out? Their open trap bar looks like it could be pretty nice if the price is right
Preferably cambered, I’ve used regular swiss bars before and didn’t love the wrist torque. I’m in Canada, so Titan is out. Is the Rep worth twice the BOS bar, in your opinion? I’d likely only use for bench and maybe ohp. Thanks again.
Thanks. I’m getting older and am a little guy so I don’t press beyond 225 these days. I’ll give it some more thought, thanks for your insight. Cheers on the channel, you’ve got a good things going here.

Cambered bars tend to stabilize themselves better in pressing movements so they're better for benching vs a flat multi grip bar because with a flat bar you'll have to work more to keep it stable/even. If you're having wrist and joint issues with bench I'd go with a cambered bench bar vs flat.
Nice review and info you guys are Awesome. I've been wanting to try a cambered multi grip bar, do you and Wynie prefer them over a straight multi grip bar? I have tried a straight multi grip and prefer it for pressing and seal rows. When i do lift I use the multi grip and hex bar, haven't used a straight barbell in a few years as I've grown older. As always appreciate your content and sense of humor.
I prefer it to a straight bar on pressing movements because it tends to stabilize better but don't enjoy it for things like curls or skullcrushers since it's fighting you. Wynie has some issue keeping straight bars stable in bench for example. We traditionally start with straight barbell movements and will pull specialty bars in later for volume or to hit things differently. Thank you!
In the market for a cambered bar. Used the regular (straight) one today for bench and rows and it was fantastic! Would this one be the better bet? Just want my bench to go up and build my lats/rhomboids
I prefer cambered bars over straight multi grips because of the balance they provide. You're not fighting the bar as much. As for which... we have 5 currently and are going to do a big breakdown on all of them but Rep's is a pretty good choice.
@@GlucksGym thanks for the reply - Sorry you may have misunderstood my question. The cambered STRAIGHT bar I was referring to - not the multi grip one. That versus the one in the video which also looks awesome. I’d buy both for my gym but my wife would kill me! Lol
I've been debating cambered multi grip for a bit, and I'm very interested in Rep's. I'll be curious to see what you have to say about Rogue's multi grip bar (multi grips available at additional cost 😂). Great work on this one!
Dude, I was laughing at first trying to eat my lunch and ended with spitting it all over my table. Hahaha. Every time I see a fitness ad with that dude pasted in it I crack up. Impossible to take them seriously. "Creepin' into my workout"... Hahahaha
That is by far my favorite part. I was explaining it and everyone kept looking at me like wtf are you talking about (even Wynie) but she went along with it and imo it's hilarious
Can you bench with an arch with this without it wobbling when it hits your chest? I have that problem with the kadillac bar despite only having a moderate arch. The kadillac bar has a flat edge so it can’t hit my chest flush so it wobbles but since this rep bar has a rounded frame, maybe it won’t wobble.
If you are gonna be using speciality bars, just another reason we need need sandwich or rollers jcups. They should really come standard with higher ends racks. Whether you have 47 or 49 in racks or 45lb or 20kg power bar collars they all seem to fit better in sandwich or other nicer j cups
You mean where you can easily remove the sleeves to make it more compact for a cable machine? We thought Rogue's MG-4 might but I'm not so sure that's the case as they near release.
How many cat tongues would you rate this knurling? I'm guessing under 1 because of how you described it but would like to know in the standard rating system
I really debated using the cat tongue rating but at the moment it's only been approved for barbells. We're talking to corporate about expanding the system. At best a 1 but probably like a 0.5
As you said, if the handles are in the same plane and the center point that touches your chest it is NOT cambered in any meaningful way. I wish companies would be more clear about this.
@@GlucksGym yeah I’m seriously considering purchasing it,. I’ve been using the Titan cambered multi grip for years, I don’t really mind the scraped sleeves too much, but being mindful of clearing my wider rack every time I re-rack is distracting to say the least. The clearance this Rep bar affords ( as well as the chromed sleeves and pulldown eye-hook ) is well thought out and refreshing. Kudos to Rep for the combined innovations.
@@GlucksGym I’m rocking a FrankenRack, Titan series uprights with Rep PR5000 crossmembers initially. The Titan multi grip bar handle-housing at 41” ( VS this new REP bars 36.75” ) was literally knicking the J-cups, so I switched the crossmembers to the Rogue Monster socket pull up bars at 43” and I had acceptable clearance, but I’m still mindful as I re-rack every time due to Pavlovian tendencies.
The more Wynie crowd is getting their wish! I also noticed you ducked out of a couple of joke setups. Are you starting to get classy on us? Oh, great review too. This bar does look very versatile and better than just "a bar for squats" or "a bar for deadlifts".
Other than logos being upside down on end cap there really isn’t an upside down that I can see? I put mine on reversed and I can’t really see any other difference.
It is a good bar but the grip spacing is way too narrow in my opinion. It forces you into a shoulders tucked, arms at 90 degrees medium grip bench press. This is great for protecting the shoulders, but not so good for overall pectoral growth in my opinion. I have to use a wide grip(hands 30" apart) for my chest to grow. The widest grip on this bar I believe is 26" apart. This would be good for lifters with smaller frames. But not good for lifters with larger frames and those with long arms who have to grip wide for maximum pectoral growth.
Funny how no one ever mentions the EliteFTS American Cambered grip bar which has been around before any of the other bars mentioned and has no rack fitment issues.
“I’ve taken it through every exercise” oh yeah? Did you jump rope with it? Smh get a load of this poser. But for real Rep is going bananas lately. They’re that middle ground where I don’t wanna spend too much for something I won’t use that often. But I don’t want something made out of cardboard.

If you are gonna be using speciality bars, just another reason we need need sandwich or rollers jcups. They should really come standard with higher ends racks. Whether you have 47 or 49 in racks or 45lb or 20kg power bar collars they all seem to fit better in sandwich or other nicer j cups
Definitely should be standard with the higher end racks. Kinda completes the package
Man i am pretty excited for the new REP bars, especially for the kabu... the open trap bar.
I'm probably most excited for the trap bar but was definitely excited for this as well
That trap bar looks fantastic. Almost definitely going to be getting myself one of those
Would love to see your BoS Swiss bar review
It should be linked in the description
@@GlucksGym thanks!!
Are there any versions of this where you can remove the part the weights go on and attach to a cable machine for pull downs?
You mean where you can easily remove the sleeves to make it more compact for a cable machine? We thought Rogue's MG-4 might but I'm not so sure that's the case as they near release.
@@GlucksGym Yep. The ability to remove the sleeves for us with a cable machine.
I have a classic swiss bar. I don't like cambered swiss bar. Over stretching during bench press, it's the best way to get a torn pec 😉
How many cat tongues would you rate this knurling? I'm guessing under 1 because of how you described it but would like to know in the standard rating system
I really debated using the cat tongue rating but at the moment it's only been approved for barbells. We're talking to corporate about expanding the system. At best a 1 but probably like a 0.5
@@GlucksGym that's understandable, perhaps we need a secondary system for attachments and specialty bars.
@@TrenbologneSandwich that's asking a lot but I'll talk to the CEO
@@GlucksGym you're generous giving it even a 0.5 my friend... the knurling doesn't really even exist 😂
Creep into a “workout” No weirdness here, good simple video, I do love Wynnie giving you grief in the opening
Hahahha more Wynie love but hey she writes 95% of the intros
@@GlucksGym when you have something that works, don’t change it
😁 I'll let her know you think so
Awe yeah! Man of the people
Haha I'm trying
Off topic, how do you like those rounded J-cups?
I like them. They look good and are made well but more importantly the cambered bars don't role in them
As you said, if the handles are in the same plane and the center point that touches your chest it is NOT cambered in any meaningful way. I wish companies would be more clear about this.
Hi neutral grip bar or angled grip bar, I need to buy one of the 2 which one do you prefer ? Thank you ,English not my main language
I like a the angles myself but it depends on what you're doing with it. Some bars have a little of both
@@GlucksGym Bench press, row, overhead press angled bar or neutral grip for shoulder health? Thank you
@@utkanutku7286 I prefer angles like this that taper to more neutral as you get further outside
Oh shiiiiiiiiiit
Been looking forward to this one
Probably your fault I had to film it so fast!

@@rodolfomedini9931 Hahahah Mr Gluck flirts with everyone 😘
I’ve been waiting for this review lol
You didn't have to wait long 😁
Yo that REP 5000 rack looks like a tank!
It's a monster! But not literally since someone already uses that name
Yo Gluck any chance on getting Iso Arms?
Really dig them but not sure on value
They're generally pricey and under used but if that's what people want reviewed then why not
Hard chromed sleeves for the win!
Such a nice upgrade!
@@orangevideo what rack are you using?
@@GlucksGym I’m rocking a FrankenRack, Titan series uprights with Rep PR5000 crossmembers initially. The Titan multi grip bar handle-housing at 41” ( VS this new REP bars 36.75” ) was literally knicking the J-cups, so I switched the crossmembers to the Rogue Monster socket pull up bars at 43” and I had acceptable clearance, but I’m still mindful as I re-rack every time due to Pavlovian tendencies.
@@orangevideo damn you really made something there
The more Wynie crowd is getting their wish!
I also noticed you ducked out of a couple of joke setups. Are you starting to get classy on us?
Oh, great review too. This bar does look very versatile and better than just "a bar for squats" or "a bar for deadlifts".
Not so much classy but I leave some open for people 😂 also I gotta rotate through so I'm not getting stale
The Kabuki Kadillac Bar is better for 49" racks than the Rep Bar since it is 54" vs 51.43" between the sleeve collars.
I have a custom rack that I built myself that is 48". I can make any size rack.
Yeah not a fan of the outside grips being the only options to really utilize the camber to get a stretch on the chest. Elite fts bar better
I wonder how long it would have taken me to notice one of my sleeves was upside down if you hadn’t said anything.
😂😂😂 That intro
Aww thanks 😊 that's all Wynie

Hahaha you think God has anything to do with it?
@@GlucksGym maybe it was i do live in his house
@@baylee0831 good point
I will probably get this bar, probably just use it for bench press though. Thanks for the review!
It's pretty solid for the price
Other than logos being upside down on end cap there really isn’t an upside down that I can see? I put mine on reversed and I can’t really see any other difference.
With the Rep bar? Yeah that's the only thing that could be put on upside down and functional it doesn't matter.
Thought so. Thanks for the reply. I have the rep logos going in different directions lol
@@frankpanaro3264 I wouldn't have bothered flipping mine after my son put it together if not for TH-cam 😂
For chest growth heavy dumbbell presses are more effective than this bar or straight barbells. I still love barbells because it's classic 😁
Probably no lift is more classic but I'm not only straight barbell benching if my goal is size
No Fate Channel taking the time to check out your vid....
Oh wow a new sub?!
Oh the intro is a hard look in the mirror 🤣🤣😭😭
All credit goes to Wynie 😂

Hey I'm sensitive!
@@GlucksGym but I do like this bar great price point. And being 45 lb like you said makes math easy
Tenderising the chicken 😆😆😆
I ruined the chicken though...
@@GlucksGym surely schnitzels or nuggets were the go from here?
I also enjoy using barbells to tenderize chicken. I just threw my mallets away.
It's a bit heavy but gets the job done quickly
Funny how no one ever mentions the EliteFTS American Cambered grip bar which has been around before any of the other bars mentioned and has no rack fitment issues.
Don't I mention how Titan's is a rip off of that bar in this video? And the Arch Nemesis video? Or did I forget?
“I’ve taken it through every exercise” oh yeah? Did you jump rope with it? Smh get a load of this poser.
But for real Rep is going bananas lately. They’re that middle ground where I don’t wanna spend too much for something I won’t use that often. But I don’t want something made out of cardboard.
Hahah I also don't enjoy buying cardboard. Ok I didn't jump rope with it but I mean that light bulb took a few tries
