Recently thoroughly cleaned my drums. I removed all hardware from the shell and polished all chrome. Your drums are such a premium beautiful set, I would be afraid of damaging the finish of the shell. I didn’t mess with the badge. My drums never looked better. Time consuming, but a labor of love.

      Hi Mark
It's pretty much impossible to damage the shell with that wax. It is very gentle. I have been using it for many years and the drums still look good.

Thank you Rick I went through a period in my life where I offered cleaning and restoring building drums of all types a lot of work ( using only a drum key) etc at the time it became addicting because I loved the finish products so did the people I did it for one customers 67 Yamaha black oyster kit came back he said his black 67 vet doesn’t even get that kind of love and service the kit smelled like a car shop lol I sense started using other products that left a new store Oder haha I only do my drums now but will always remember the years I offered that service many drummers don’t have the time or care big time drummers have personal techs that just replace the sets with brand new ones often or clean between shipping storage transportation shows etc not many have a beautiful set like yours great job ( don’t forget the rubber gloves) or it takes weeks for your hands to return to smelling human again instead like a robot lol 😂 I enjoyed your video brought back many memories God Bless keep up the great work with your videos!

      Hi Elwood
That's a full time job right there!
I find the cleaning and maintenance very relaxing.
Thanks for watching and send me some pictures of your drums.

Hello, Rick! I recently disassembled an old Ludwig Supersensitive snare drum. It has snare beds, but they are bigger than the ones on the wooden drum.

I think the Earthtones sound more like plastic heads than real calfskin. I use calf exclusively now. Jazz, R&R, in Seattle, any weather!

@@rickdior ça va tranquillement, à Paris avec le nouveau confinement cela va pas être top.... Moi j'arrive à tenir car je crois beaucoup en Dieu et j'ai ma famille près de moi.

Q Tips or soft toothbrush can help get into tight places/spaces.

If you use q tips you should use ones made of chamois since a regular q tip has strands of cotton that get snagged in badges and some strainers.
Make sure you use a soft toothbrush .
A hard one will scratch copper and brass

That actually happened. Then the fool put it up for sale on reverb and didn’t realize that cleaning it probably took $500 Plus of the value of the cymbal
