    The comparison with the NASB95 Clarion was interesting. Finally, an honest review of this edition. Can always count on Randy Brown.

      @@claudiabailey5302 Tim Wildsmith. It is now well known that the Publisher knew about all the errors and typos before it went to print. His review video is nothing short of an advertisement for Humble Lamb. The bias in his review is staggering. He cannot be trusted. BBG pointed out most of the errors in question. I was banned from a well known Facebook group for even mentioning that fact. Bibles are big business and these men will protect their interests at all costs, usually by deleting all comments that point out a short coming or flaw about the review they are doing. Randy Brown is the only reviewer I trust as I spend a tremendous amount of money on premium Bibles, as a collector. Now the only question is, who do I see about a refund on my Humble Lamb HIStory that I purchased based on Tim Wildsmith's review?

      Some reviewers only say positive things because they want publishers to continue sending them Bibles. They also know how the YoutTube algorithm works so they are the first that pop up if you search for bible reviews@@claudiabailey5302

    I just wish there was a larger edition with a larger font for us with older eyeballs.

    I'd love to get one of these. I need a physical NASB 2020, and nice ones are expensive for me right now, and also not available much where I am. But this is a very beautiful Bible.
    Also, I wonder if Humble lamb will ever enlarge this HIStory Bible. If they made one with a 10pt or 11pt size text, it would be perfect for me.

    I have the Shepherd, the Lion remake and the Fox Orange HIStory. Love them all. I would like to see Humble Lamb make the HIStory Bible in full size 11 font single column with all 220 Gustave Dore pictures and darker blue printing. Full yapp would be wonderful too. 😊

    I have noticed in my copy I have the same image appear three times in the book of Revelation. Two of them being right next to each other on adjacent pages. Not sure if that's the case with yours as well Randy or just a 1st edition printing error. Regardless, great review! I always enjoy listening to your input on different editions of the Bible.

    I received my copy in Lunar Yellow last week, Randy. It's a beautifully crafted Bible and should lay to rest any doubts or fears about the quality of Bibles published in China. My only disappointment with this version is the blue letters for the words of Christ. I can barely see them. Perhaps the 2nd edition will feature brighter or darker blue letters as well as the corrections to the minor errors you pointed out.

    Always love your reviews, thanks. The Fox Orange in this review looks more yellow than expected (perhaps it’s just my screen or eyes). Is it markedly different from the yellow that Humble Lamb produces? If so, what’s your preference?

      Thanks! It's me. I recorded this with my cell phone and I'm not that good with video. My photos are more accurate. It's actually darker than what HL shows. Here are my photos: biblebuyingguide.com/nasb-history-bible-review/

    Very modest looking orange which I appreciate. They just make gorgeous bibles. I can't. I'm jealous. I'll be buying soon.

    Hi Randy I was wondering if you could do a comparison with the KJV Lion’s word definitions and the Defined King James Bibles word definitions. I believe they are the only Bibles that have definitions from the English dictionary.

    Thank you, Randy, for your clarifying review. This is not a bible I would buy for so many reasons, but I am grateful for the depth of your knowledge about every bible that you share with us. This bible, in my opinion, has it's page layout extremely busy which disturbs my visual peace! They have tried too hard to get everything they could think of into a compact bible. It lacks nuance.

    KJV in HIStory with the same style as the Humble Lamb 🐑 Compact NASB would be nice for me.😊 I do so enjoy the respect shown for the Word of God in all the Humble Lamb 🐑 Bibles. 🕊️💖

    Great review! Beautiful Bible and I understand they are a new publisher, but for the premium price they are charging there shouldn’t be these kind of errors. Atleast reduce the price on the Bible. I’ll probably wait for the refresh or second edition on the Nasb HIStory.
    That being said, I did end up purchasing the NKJV Shepherd in Rose Gold which I’m really excited about. 😊

      @@BibleBuyingGuideyea I love humble bibles but they have what I want in different versions of their bibles. So I like the lion version kjv but I want the gilt edge painting from the history version where Christ is in the middle…. And I want the ornate drop cap again like in the history version in the lion. Lol

    Good review as always. Interesting design. It’s at least different. I find it nice and inviting actually. I love the side column references. I wish they had chosen NASB95 in stead of the more liberal NASB2020. For that reason the Bible is not interesting for me.

  • @SaneNoMore
    @SaneNoMore ปีที่แล้ว +3

    As they continue to persecute Christians it upsets me that so many Bible publishers continue to print in China. More so when your still charging over $220 for the Bible’s even though you chose the cheapest place on earth to print them.

  • @MO-bo2du
    @MO-bo2du ปีที่แล้ว +1

    It's a beautiful Bible. Got to be honest though, don't know why any publisher wouldn't put references in the gutter in 2023.

    • @BibleBuyingGuide
      @BibleBuyingGuide  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In a simpler design, they're placed in the outer margin to keep your eyes from having to gloss over non-biblical text to read the Scriptures on both pages. The Bible text is together and everything else is away from it. That's why the Clarion and Topaz have the layouts they do. I don't think that would matter so much in a design like this one since there's already a lot of non-biblical content within the text.

    • @MO-bo2du
      @MO-bo2du ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BibleBuyingGuide Thanks for the reply. I’m sure you know a lot more about it than me. :) My main reason for saying that is because having the references in the gutter makes the primary text easier to see, especially near the middle of the book. Ever since I first got a Bible with that layout I have preferred it!

    • @BibleBuyingGuide
      @BibleBuyingGuide  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@MO-bo2du the text is definitely easier to see. Placing them in the margins is excellent for usability because it keeps the text on the flatter part of the page. This is especially important for thicker Bibles with a large bend into the gutter.

    I love the cover colors that Humble Lamb uses. I really would love a yellow or orange Bible actually. But I am not a fan of all the flourishes they put in. The art on the page edges, all the illustrations, drop caps, etc., just aren't for me.

    a very beautiful bible... but I do not think it is very practical to use in a church setting.. with rapid fire verses are called to be read aloud by church members....last week.. we studied the rapture.. and there must have been 20 passages read.. in succession one person right after another....with a slight discussion in between each reading... I think I would have preferred this bible to be at least an 11 point font.. and verse by verse...forget the fancy drawings on several pages...
    this may make a good desk bible for home though...

    Disappointed in the NASB 2020 Humble Lamb. Besides this version has missing verses. I just found out the 2020 is not the same as the 2019 NASB. It's hard to read and harder to find the verses when you need to because everything feels squished to fit in the page. I wish I can take a picture of what I mean. I would not recommend because of the high price. Nice beautiful leather. The pictures are nice and well made.

      I have heard the 1995 is better? I ordered this one being reviewed . I am currently using NLT have KJV, NKJV and NIV. The NIV to me has allot of word changes like sky for firmament.
