@@TheEV6GT yea my buddy has the slp on his mustang 5.0 it’s sounds beasty along with the cams I think I might go with them as well before I did like the 40 series flow masters but it’s not as loud 😂

Yeah but they are way too quiet to me. Lol. I love how loud the SLP loudmouths are, the sound so mean and angry. But my V8s are always loud so I am biased. Slps still have great tone while also being pissed loud so it's perfect for those mustangs I believe.
@@DoctorRickSanchez i have the off road X-pipe to stainless steel SLP Loudmouth 1s from X-pipe back, and it is insanely loud!!! Pypes M80s are the loudest type of perferated bullet mufflers and are almost on SLP Loudmouth 1s and Borla ATAKS level in loudness. The Magnaflow Magnapacks would be slightly quieter than Pypes M80s but louder than Borla S-Types and SLP Loudmouth 2s.
@@TheEV6GT out of all the mufflers I gave you on that list, the one that will certainly clap with off-road midpipes are the Magnaflow Magnapacks. normal cruising you SHOULD be able to drive by a cop no problem. now off course that depends what state you're in and how anal you're cops are over there. I drive by cops all the time and they have no issue.
@@MisaelFloresF my guy you don't need the link. Just look up SLP loudmouth one catbacks for your year mustang, and get them off of American muscle cuz they're the best for that. You can either get just the mufflers and have those welded in or you can get the whole cat back system, I'm just doing the mufflers themselves cuz I highly doubt the Cat-Back system makes a difference, the muffler is what makes the sound change.
It's going to be SLP loudmouth ones and you can either choose between the cat back or just the resonators themselves. I honestly say get the resonators off of American muscle since that's the cheaper option. You'll end up paying about $200 maybe a little less for two resonators. That won't get this kind of sound though unless you have an off-road X pipes or h pipe setup. For that you can either buy one or you can take your factory h pipe and hollow out the cats and straight pipe the factory resonators. I have to keep the cats on for a sticker but they don't check to make sure the cats are working as long as they're on there so I just hollow them out
@@TheEV6GT What else are they going to run though? In my opinion the only three best-soundings exhaust for these cars are the loudmouth 1s, borla attacks and stingers. Mine currently is a stock h pipe with flowmaster 40s and honestly I hear that kind of setup way more than I do a real good setup, it's either a catted set up with flowmasters or it's an off-road x pipe with flowmaster 40s or 44s and that's due to Maine having more older people that enjoy the older sound. I eventually plan on doing ceramic long tube headers with a bassani off-road x pipe with SLP loudmouth 1s. It'll sound awesome.
So does that mean you're mustang is a 6 cylinder? If that's the case the slps won't make it sound good because a 6 cylinder with a less restrictive exhaust sounds nothing like a V8.
Personally I love the slp's way better. I just love loud cars especially loud raspy angry exhausts. That's basically what I'll be doing to my mustang once it's stickered, I'll be going with an off-road h pipe setup with SLP loudmouth ones, and eventually I'll switch it over to a bassani off-road x pipe.
Same. Just got my Cobra and trying to decide between the SLP and ATAK. Everyone saying they don’t like the “clapping” and that the SLP is too loud… I think it sounds more unhinged and violent than the Borla. Everyone says go Borla but my ears and gut are saying SLP.
I love both but I think the SLP is a litttllle better
Love that slp sound. Nice and deep though them borlas
Yea the overall sound between the two is not much different. Borlas are definitely deeper and a touch quieter
Great vid. The SLP’s sound more raw and visceral, while the Stingers sound confined and classy. I give the SLP’s the tip of the hat.
I think the Borla Stingers are the best sounding mufflers on those 4.6s 2v and 4v (they sound the same)
yea it does not sound too bad.
I'm an SLP loudmouth on the 4.6 fan myself. Love loud raspy aggressive exhausts, especially loud. Lol.
Both sound great 👍🏻 I really like the slp lm1 on my mustang
It seems like people don’t like the “clapping”. I think of it as sounding bitey - I love it. Surprised more people don’t like that sound.
It is the sound that everyone loves as far as I know..I was surprised also, my Borla S types clap plenty, I heard it clap even in this video..
Hate the clapping noise
Great video man you showed how it sounds from a distance I’m having a hard time deciding which one to get it’s been months now 😂
It’s really up to personal preference. SLP is loud screaming and borla gives you a bit of a tone.

I always regret going with the less aggressive exhaust, myself.
I'm a og type of guy I like the Flowmaster with a good off road xpipe combo the best sound to me. Not crazy loud but loud and a smooth deep tone
I like the SLP better! So SLP it is for me on my 2004 Mach 1. Gonna go or X-pipe and SLP LM1 stainless from x back
