- My 2003 Ford Mustang Gt Exhaust. This exhaust setup consists of stock headers, O/R X-Pipe and a SLP LM1 Cat-back System. A very modern 2v sound, with the raspy American Muscle tone. The exhaust does not drone, but is loud.

I got a ticket for this same setup back in 05. Just rolling down the interstate and passed by a cop that had someone pulled over. The video doesn’t do justice on how loud this setup actually is.

How much did this setup cost? Would you say its better to save up for something like this instead of getting something cheaper like a muffler delete?

I love those new edge 4.6’s with x pipe I’m old school with love for the flow master 40 series.. my brother had that setup on his new edge and it had a sweet sound.. put some 4.10’s and a stress tri ax short throw shifter in and you got a 0-60 beast for being in stock trim..
New edge mustang looks beautiful in the back but the front is ugly. I had a 2002 mustang jack roush. I try to change the bumper and put a Saleen bumper but it won't fitþ

Hey, I know there's likely not anyone actively commenting on this video, but is there any way for me to get a link to the O/R X-Pipe ? Looking for one but I can't seem to be able to.
I had a 2003 GT mustang with the SLP loudmouth back in 03 in Philly. I miss it was the only one who had that exhaust back then! Most people did not know about SLP unless you had a Camaro! No one had them on mustangs in early 2000
This is exactly what I wanted my mustangs to sound like so I hope you don't mind once I get my mustang that I make mine sound just like this LOL. Literally have not heard a mustang (or honestly any other car) sound I love more then a catless x pipe with SLP loudmouth 1s on an 01 to 04 mustang gt. Love or hate these mustangs they make some of the most badass sounds a mustang can make and be a very affordable/reliable car to own.

Great vid, but even this doesn't do justice to what these actually sound like outside the car...it's God's own exhaust :). I get compliments all the time, and my Mustang is more or less bone stock with *just* the SLP 1s.

Did you have to install MIL eliminators or just ignore the check engine light? Any retune after installation? So did you like the O/R H-pipe combo or the O/R X-pipe combo better? you running stock O2 sensors? Nice ride for sure.
I like the X pipe better for the rasp. But it may be too much for some people. The car itself is dyno tuned, eliminating the CEL.

This is sick. I have the same setup on my 97 cobra. Sounds super similar! The 2k and 3k notes hit so hard. The comment section is right when they say this video hides how loud it actually is!
what are your laws about exhaust in your state ?
Honestly if the car has proper updated inspection and you're not driving like an asshole I haven't had any problems with PA cops. Normally there is just a visual cat/ muffler check and emission inspection. If you have classic plates they don't test for emissions tho.

You can’t beat the old school 4.6 modular sound. I can’t get slp on my mustang. But I wouldn’t want it because it just wouldn’t sound as good.

Obnoxiously loud!!! I wonder why people buy slp loudmouth mufflers when all they have to do is run straight pipes to get that same obnoxious sound.
I have had both. No muffler setup is so much drone even compared to the SLP.
I have jba shorty headers, BBK x pipe and straight piped with an SLP loudmouth. No mufflers, no resonators and my cats are completely hollowed out.. I love the sound of the SLP especially when you pair high quality headers with them. Btw, what's th color of the car?

@@Q-gf8vb yeah I got a 2004 3.9 v6 and I really wanted a v8 this year but with gas prices being high as hell and being younger than 25 with insurance being high for me I just decided to mod my v6 and get one next year when I’m 25 and maybe get a better deal. I have about 8k to blow after modding my v6 but I only want a new edge cause they sound amazing. Don’t really care for speed overall or I’d save up for a newer gt
