Thanks! It's hard to beat GearWrench quality for the price. This set is actually one of their pricier ones unless you get it on sale. But the vast majority of their sets are priced really well and definitely great quality and warranty. All anyone needs for a budget set build like your looking to do.
Gearwrench makes good stuff. I own there regular ratchet wrenches. 20 piece set picked up at tractor supply co for about 70 bucks. Love there sockets and ratchets too. Hfs wrenches are horrible unless it's the icon line.
Yeah, you got that right. I have a few different gearwrench sets and love them all. Most of the Harbor Freight wrenches I've seen are made in India. So you know they're garbage. Even worse than Chinese made.
@@ssranch6662 Well their cheapest of the cheap "mechanic's tool sets" in the black cases are definitely garbage. Terrible quality, sloppy tolerances, and both ratchets broke on me fairly easily. I did a video on a bad experience I had with their vise. But after two returns I got one that I'm happy with and has worked well with no issues. So I'd still recommend their vises since you can't beat the price, especially on sale. Other than that I kind of learned pretty quickly on how to spot items to avoid from there back when I was a teenager and did that first tool haul from there. Like their "good, better, best" brand tiers on everything throughout the store. Usually the better and best brand stuff is a good mix of value and quality. Avoid anything made in India. And other than that, any other products I've had terrible experiences with were so ridiculously cheap I didn't care. So yeah, I've been good enough at knowing how to avoid their terrible items that I don't have too many other negative experiences.
I just bought a set of the gearwrench flex head regular ratcheting 14 piece kit at Napa for 80 bucks last week of 8/18. Tried em this weekend and I love em! Excellent excellent quality right up there with the big tool truck brands! I'm thinking about getting the 22 piece tekton regular combination set of wrenches on Amazon for 122. What are your thoughts on tekton?
@@ssranch6662 I bought Tekton's 46 piece combination wrench set a little over a year ago and love them. But I would buy from their website directly instead of amazon because you'll get 10% back in rewards money. You can get their 30 piece set for $135 with racks/holders from them directly. And then you'll get $13.50 in rewards money so it will really be just like paying $121.50
Excellent review I'm digging these too, I'm slowly trying to build a budget mechanics tool cart but still high quality keep grinding bro!!(=✌💚
