      I have a huge lab we rescued from the streets, and she is the sweetest thing on the planet. THE ONLY time she's ever gotten mean was with my cousin's kid, who was trying to root her out of her spot. She didn't bite him, she nipped him, but not hard enough to break skin. Was his mom mad? Yes, but it was her own fault because she was on her phone, and not paying attention.

    With regards to the first story, if I was SIL, I would tell the husband to back all the way off and apologize to his sibling for being an immature, overreactive moron who refuses to teach our child how to properly interact with an animal. The dog growled. Dogs growl. It is how they let you know to back off. Animal control would not put the dog down for growling at a child. The brother would probably instead be scolded for not teaching his daughter how to treat animals with respect. He is actively making things more dangerous for his daughter by refusing to do this.

      @@NakaidaBeauzecthe moral of the story is that male victims need support and to not SA people no matter your state. I’ve been high on many occasions but I’ve never SAd someone while high, or at all for that matter. Being high doesn’t make you a bad person. Also in many places (like Canada and some states) weed is not illegal, because it is not as harmful as other drugs, being pretty equivalent to alcohol.
      Committing a crime on weed is no different than committing a crime drunk. You still committed a crime and it is still not caused by the substance. Story 1, boi op's brother is setting up his daughter to be harmed a random animal fr, and I'm sad for the kid since her dad don't realize it,
    Dude They are not choosing a just a dog over your daughter, they know the dog isn't a threat, and you are refusing teach your child boundaries with animals and correcting her behavior,
    Seriously how many dogs have to die to get though your skull, that no you are not right and you need to correct your daughters behavior man before she actually gets hurt.
    Story 2, Nta and naw op's mom and dad are aholes, i understand grief (i have experienced, and I'm surprised I'm half ok still.),
    But that behavior towards op was ridiculous, like y'all lied on op and yelled at her for no reason,
    Everyone makes mistakes but own up to it and apologize.,
    Last story, violence isn't always the answer but after finding out my sibling sa my partner and claiming it as "mistake",
    like no, no, hell no i would have to resist from laying hands on, you disgusting self after what you did to my partner,

    Story 1. The brother is 100% in the wrong here. He will not teach his daughter how not to respect the dog. Young children need to be taught not to annoy animals. I never allowed my children to climb all over dogs or pull their tails and ears. The brother needs to get it into his head that he should watch his child and not allow her to hurt animals. Young children don't automatically know that they are hurting an animal. That is why parents have to teach them how to treat animals.

    Some people dont understand that dogs aren't people. They are dogs and that means they have their own instincts and ways of doing things.
    You have to work with their behaviors.
    Ignore them at your peril.

  • @FullMoonOctober
    @FullMoonOctober หลายเดือนก่อน +19

    2nd story: I'd forgive, but parents would be on thin ice if it were me. It's one thing to forget a birthday during an emotional time like the death of a close family member, and the physical and emotional exhaustion that comes from a long trip and getting the house back in order (unpacking, grocery shopping, etc.). It's a TOTALLY different thing to be mad at someone for making a totally neutral post that doesn't even mention you about something YOU are in the wrong about. The normal thing to do is apologize to the wronged person (you can even give the above excuses) and say you'll make up for it.
    The mother made a social media post that she thought OP would never see, that falsely called OP out as the guilty one in the situation, in a way that would make other family members think less of OP. She basically sacrificed her own child to make herself look better in the eyes of extended family and friends. And poor OP might have had those relationships negatively affected without any idea why if she didn't get notified of the post by mistake. Who does that?? The fact that their first two reactions to being called out for forgetting OP's birthday were 1) anger (at OP??), and 2) trying to manipulate and lie to seem like the real victims, has some serious DARVO energy that should not be easily brushed aside.

    🤬 the OP in the first story was MUCH calmer than I would have been if someone tried that with my furbaby. Yes kids don't know how to handle animals most of the time. It takes patience and training. Definitely not "oh no your dog growled at my daughter so put it down. Look at me handling this so much better than others would have that would have called animal control on your beast." Yeah no that is not handling it better at all. It is being an entitled ahole that doesn't want anything but their way done. I petsit and 1 of my clients has an aggressive dog. They know this and are worried about potential reactions like this and have me walk the pup so the pup keeps my scent and learns I am not a threat and a provider of treats instead. Sometimes I've noticed I moved to quickly for the pup and they react negatively. I don't blame the pup. It's how I acted that set the pup off so on me to fix it. Not "oh yeah your dog growled at me so put them down." Daughter needs to learn how to handle animals or suffer future consequences and be banned from the house.
