Late follow-up but man, I need to go to HP tuners, car hasn't been running right. If the culprit isn't the O2 sensor I had to lengthen on the drivers side to swap in the SRT manifolds, I'm switching over.
Eek. Those dyno numbers are terrible. Just get the 392 manifold and a module for the active runners. I’ve seen the dyno numbers on that and it’s far better. 20+hp in low and mid rpm range and 15-20hp on the top end. Doesn’t look quite as nice, but the performance benefits are clear.
At this point you might as well just get the 392 manifold and a module for the active runners. I’ve seen dyno results of 20hp increase from low to mid rpm and 15-20hp at the upper end.
I was thinking of getting this intake for my cammed 2010 5.7 that I’m adding nitrous to next month. I was wondering is this a good setup to go with, or should I go another route?
Not a bad manifold but like Nicholas R said below about MMX machining them for gaskets. Other than fuel injector spacers and making sure you have the dual bolt pattern for a factory style throttle body. After install it pulled pretty good after 5k RPM. It would be better with boost or nitrous since it shouldn't blow out.
I want to make sure everyone knows, this is because of the runners in these intakes, if your buying for a 6.1 srt build not a eagle or 6.4, you will gain hp and torque, also if you have a vacuum leak you will lose hp with sniper manifold. So maybe on a eagle 5.7 or 6.4 you will lose due to active runners but not on a 6.1 or stroked block non vvt.
I been thinking of going with a Holley as well. My mods are long tube headers, ported, intake and nitrous. You say this thing looses torque at low rpms? Would it still be worth getting sense I’m spraying nitrous which helps with the torque?
If they retard the cam about 3 degrees on the top end you should have broken into the 39xwhp range. That 392 cam is great with adjusting the cam timing
Is it a DD and do you have/plan on getting a torque converter? This thing doesn't really move until 2500+ RPM from what I noticed. For all-out HP, I'd say yes but your trade off would be a loss in low end torque. How do you like the TSP Stage 3 cam? I may or may not have the TSP boost cam on order..
im wondering if the gaskets blew out from not having a breather and pcv in the valve covers. getting ready to do my install with the sniper intake and valve covers. already tapped the covers for pcv and breather. by chance do you know if the car and truck 5.7 injectors are same height? i don't have those spacers you used but i may get them for just incase.
I'm not sure if the truck injectors would work. The spacers that I used worked great-no leaks. The failure that I had was the shallow depth of the groove for the o-ring.

I have never seen the intake or fuel rails in person so this is just a guess, but looks like the fuel rails was made to fit tall or short injectors. Looks like the braket that is on fuel rail can be loosened and rotated 180 degrees to fit whichever injectors you have.
Might be the case for the Passenger side, however, the driver's side rail will hit the oil fill tube. The Michigan Motorsports spacers work great, excellent fitment and zero leaks.
What about using the 6.1 paper gaskets? Would that address the issue with the gasket channels? I saw one of your responses below about the sniper pulling really well above 5krpm. How was it below that?
The 6.1 gaskets would probably work, I didn't have any on hand at the time. From what I experienced, It started to shine above 5k, definitely need a higher stall torque converter and upgraded valvetrain to enjoy the manifold (stock is limited to 5800).

Cold air or an aftermarket intake manifold Tony? Those are good numbers, I chose the 392 mds cam simply to find out what Dodge was leaving on the table.
