Awesome video...I have a 390 Adv and prefer fitting high quality (equals expensive) accessories....have already installed the Barkbusters, Doubletake and Givi top box. Givi windscreen and the Baja lights on their way too. For folks who think accessories are expensive, well, they are...however the companies building these have invested in R&D to ensure these accessories do their job as intended. Excellent choices!

Top quality setup, indeed. One question & one suggestion:
Question: How did you install the extra electricals (charger, aux lights) without voiding warranty (read: cutting the wires)? I'm asking because I have a Dominar 400 now, but planning to upgrade to 310GS; except that it's almost twice as expensive and I want to make sure my warranty doesn't lapse if I install these. The older 310 GS had a lot of electrical issues, but hoping all that is rectified in the new one.
Suggestion: You get locking screws for the double-take mirrors, so that people cannot take these off your bike in unsecured parking lots. Probably a good idea to have those replace the standard screws in India.

I got a wiring harness along with the auxiliary lights and I got all electrical connections & other installations done from BMW motorrad to avoid any warranty related issues.. they did all the connections without having to cut a single cable!

Amazing video I loved it all. Beauty with the quality I prepared my accessories list by watching your video and visiting it again and again. One of the thing I am really concerned after watching other videos they guard on the bike doesn't really go with the bike or suit the brand they look like prepared by window grill welder. So this Hepco & Becker guard really complements the design.
One thing is the price is slightly increased (10%-15%) per accessory now in Aug 2022 but after days and hours of research, this video is Gem ❤what you look for, and boss totally worth it. Booked it a couple of days back the new 2023 polar white racing blue version and can't wait to ride this with accessories. Thanks, man for the lovely video.🤘🤘🤘

Can you please help me out with a suggestion between bmw 310r and 310gs, which one would be better. I currently ride Pulsar RS200. Wanted to upgrade my ride.
If you like more peppy and flickable feel then G310R if you want comfort and go anywhere kind of bike then GS.
There is no better bike they are just 2 different flavours.. ride them and go by your instinct

Hello Sir. I am planning to buy 310 GS(have to kill the wait period of 90 days) and was just going through few accessories videos. This one is best I have found till date. You covered almost all the necessary stuffs in very detailed manner. This setup makes the BMW 310 GS now a better and more practical model. Hope BMW would come up with all these small and important add-ons on their next one.
I have few queries for you -
1. From where did you get your accessories fittings done like crash guards and paint protection ? As Motorad, Pune refused to put any after market add-ons.
2. The lighter port in your dashboard, does BMW 310GS is having any such cut-outs ?
3. Do you recommend center stand, headlight grill, extended front fender and side stand foot enlarger?
Hope you don't mind answering above queries. It would be very helpful.
I got all accessories installed from Motorrad in Mumbai
Centre stand not required
Lighter port I drilled a hole in the panel no existing space
I don't find the use of headlight grill as I have not done that hardcore an off-road so far
Foot enlarger you should if you are going off road.. if only off-road then not needed

Really one class video on BMW accessories. After you suggested I am planning to get engine and tank guard of Hepko Becker, but I talked to BMW Motorrad Jaipur for fitting. So they told that the engine guardfitting is not accurate for Hepko and if anything in future happens you may void the warranty. I am planning to get my bike in 1st week of October, can you please if it is ok and anything like this you faced in your case.
I didn't face any issue in Hepco Becker and BMW service centre guys only installed it for me

I do own the bike, it's been a month and the experience so far has been thrilling. But where do I get the stuffs installed after buying the products online? Faith is an issue with local shops and I have doubts they'll be up for the job. Because when I asked them about crash guards and stuffs they did say they'll try, but they have no idea how to apply ppf . So installation is turning out to be an issue at my end.
I approached it very simply because of my work profile I don't have time run after people.. I just went to motorrad struck a deal with them for 10 or 12k and asked them to install everything
The. Way I see it is that outside it would cost 5k but with just a 5k difference although double in value but in actual is a small difference.. I would rather give the bike to people who work on it day in day out so I have mental peace that they are not doing R& D on my vehicle.🤣

Hey, Could you please help with 2 more doubts regarding accessories:
- does your gps mount have vibration issues, looking for adv tribe gps mount but they have no vibration clamp option like yours
- are handlebar raisers mandatory after installing handguards and windscreen, I've heard otherwise guard conflict with the screen, looking for adv tribe risers as they're budget friends but only 21mm

About RAM mount .. there is always vibration..

My windshield does wobble a bit but a bit.. like any other bike.. But it doesn't wobble nervously

Warranty on electric parts is 3yrs.
One doubt, does warranty is void if we install aux lights or mobile charger.
Any modifications on the bike of these nature can void warranty.. Depends really on the situation in these cases.. if it is a major problem then the manufacturer will use this as an excuse.. if it is minor.. then generally they don't bother

Thank you for this detailed video was looking for quality accessories myself as i didn't want to use mediocre accessories. Can you also suggest a good riding jacket and helmet.
Well I personally use Rynox Stealth Evo Jacket and trousers .. it's a good touring jacket.. though I would suggest one mesh jacket as well for riding in summers.. for helmet I would suggest a non modular Bell MX 9.. I personally Use a scorpion Adx but it is a bit heavy.. I would suggest to go for a non modular helmets as they have lesser weight.

I got it installed from BMW motorrad showroom.. they didn't point out any issue.. with a tight wiring.. Just see if you can tilt the bar a bit to ease it off.

Is it ok to have vehicle reg number on mudguards? I have installed the windshield and i see the plastic mount of the bike is not able to take weight of number plate n windshield

Sam I want a casual bike and use it only on weekend to have some fun . Mostly on Tarmac which will you suggest . 390 adventure or GS310?
In that case I wouldn't suggest both.. I would suggest duke 390 l.. it is a gem of a bike..
But if the choice is between only these 2 then 390 adv for onroad performance

If my memory serves me right, BMW does offer a 12v socket with a spring-loaded cover as an optional accessory which can be bolted on to the trellis frame. I would very grateful if u can give us ur insight why u chose to go with sw-motech rather than the bmw one. Thank in advance.
No particular reason.. in terms of performance.. To be very honest I didn't even know that BMW offered it as an accessory.. but if it is attached to a trellis frame.. then I prefer where I have put the socket.. That is all I can add with my limited exposure 😊

I bought squadron sport but installed it close to beak in order to save it on bike fall but not so happy with its placement. The clamp I used was maddog.

buddy just want to know..from where u did the PPf for the bike?....because when i did a enquiry for my bike...they said...PPF will be done only on metal painted part and on fiber ceramic has to be done...and the cost they quoted for 310gs id 15k....2k for PPF and 13k for ceramic
PPF can only be done on painted surface
You will need to spend around 7k on a bmw GS on painted surfaces

i want to buy a tourer but i am completely confused.
i visited BMW and KTM
KTM has much better electronics, Conering ABS, traction control, indecates all problems on the screen , well connected fasility.
But BMW has proper suspension soft ride.
I am confused can you please guide
If you are looking at 80-90% on road long touring bike go for KTM.
If you are looking at 60% on road and 40% off road then bmw.
The ride quality in KTM is also very good for on road.
By the way how much weight did your accessories put extra weight?
It should be hovering around 8 kg without top box.. Top box should be additional 10
Do u have any vibration with the visor. My visor vibrates a lot even when I switch on the engine. So think about while riding. But the vibration is merely visible when i ride in perfect flat road like NH ,but when I go into small road where there are undulations,it's vibrates a lot
It does vibrate a bit.. but not like you are experiencing! You also have the Puig windshield?

How did you fix your front number plate after installing a windshield ? also are you able to do side lock, i think your hand gaurd might hit the windshield. !!!
The OEM brachet fits after installing windshield.. You will have to use bar risers for the handle to turn completely

I haven't fixed the number plate on windshield.. I have seen people do it on the same design I have put a sticker on the front fender
hi, have u changed the tyres ? i need to change my rear tyre, stock is 150//70r17.. is it ok to downgrade to 150/60/17 or 140/60/17 ?? basically keeping same rim size but slight change in either width or height ? does it have any -ve effect on ride ?
I would suggest not to change the tyre size as it does effect ride quality
Slimmer tyre make a better off-road tyre but the contact patch will reduce for on road performance! Companies try to find the right balance between performance fuel efficiency braking performance etc etc.. All these are dependent on tyre size
