I don't understand why Pakistan thinks that China will use the port and not it's own on the east of China? There are not any reasons, it's better to pay to their business objects than to competitor's. I suppose that it is only in emergency cases (big war in Pacific ocean etc.).

To utilise port, you need cargo. Pakistan doesn't produce much to export and generate money to import.
Same thinking ,, i don't understand why they even need such port in first place. They could demand other things from China like infrastructure aid every year and educational aid as well or some special rights that allows Pakistanis to travel to China without any visa ... Pakistan were not producing that much of a thing but still want a port for them. Well , i know it's a necessary thing but they could have done this thing by themselves by firstly educate their population properly and actually using those Aids for good use.
