The first time i was this after three years. I believe the belt and road is a conplete opposite of what is being said. Obviously there are challenges when working on projects but once the connectivity and synergy comes in, evrything flows. The peoples republic of china has a plan and its feasible.
Once the loans are made, isn’t China’s sovereignty locked in? Even if the project is never completed, won’t the CCP claim the property as collateral?

China rescheduled ( extended) the maturity date of these loans ....with regard to interest payable to China on these loans, again, China postponed the collection of interest to a future date. So, it's not generosity on China's part.....in some cases, China took control of borrower nations strategic assets such as ports ( Kenya's, Sri Lanka & Pakistan's ports ) on a long 50 or 100 year lease, thereby allowing China to turn these strategic ports into naval ports for Chinese naval vessels to pose security threats to the Western nations , India & Japan in the Indian Ocean region .
