Another great video, it gives us commercial/ pleasure fishermen a reminder of what "proper fishing" is all about grinding out the fish from hard pegs and changing the methods to gain a fish here and there

Not teaching you to suck eggs Jon but we have consistently been catching real quality roach on the tip and 6mm pellet with a cage feeder. This has worked from Goring down to Chertsey.

well done mate great vid... you dont half work hard for it.... maybee a piece of corn or bread on that far across feeder line to fluke that old loner 3lb bream that are in the thames -the leisure anglers always seem to fluke them.. .. .. yes it happened to me in that... i was fishing my nuts off in a match once, scratching for anything like a dog.... and the leisure angler on the far bank using twirly line and a huge hook and peacock float sticking out the water 2" whopped out a 4lb bream on corn...on a rock hard day.... we gotta laugh..

I was at college at Culham in the late 60s, early 70s. I hadn't returned to fishing then, what did I miss? Oh well no use crying over missed fishing opportunities, just get on with it now when the legs allow. Good to see the Thames again in nice condition.
