@Chai_Travel that is why Chinese tourists go on tour and tells you the famous 3 countries they visit. This tour is called "sin ma thai". Meaning singapore, then malaysia then reach thailand, then go back to china using singapore flights(go back down again). This is the famous tour. You do not see many chinese tourists going to indonesia or philippines. Because not many chinese culture there compared to thailand, Malaysia, singapore. Our chinese food is awesome.
@@keangwooichoo6138 I agree, from my perspective as a Chinese Indonesian, those 3 countries are far more welcoming to Chinese tourists, especially in Malay and Singapore since a lot of them speak Mandarin, while Thailand is open about entertainment and people from different countries.

There are also active volcanoes. If you like rainforests, then Malaysia (Borneo, Sabah, Sarawak), Thailand (Khao Sok National Park), Indonesia, Philippines.. There are so many beaches.. and there are thousands of islands in Indonesia and Philippines.. Some people might want to take the new train connecting Laos to China.. as Laos is landlocked, so this is a major development in terms of cross border trade. There are many close elephant experiences in Thailand, which is unusual. Some people like shopping. There are many good young less well known designers in Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia. Some people like spending time finding interesting pieces in small boutiques, night markets and fairs. Batik is quite interesting. You can find it in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. It is nice to have a batik shirt for both casual and formal occasions. People in Philippines are nice, but Manila could be a bit overwhelming. I don't think many people like Manila as it is rather expensive and the traffic is hectic. Generally, it is more relaxed once you are out of Manila. Vietnam is famous for its tea plantations and coffee. It also has French inspired cuisine and cafes. The food is nice, but some people might not like coriander. Cambodia is less well known but should be interesting. If you cannot tolerate spicy food, then the cusine in Thailand, Laos and Cambodia might be challenging. Indonesia also has relatively spicy food. Burmese food can also be spicy. The Java Jazz Festival is one of the largest jazz festivals in the world. General attire for South East Asia should be berms. Always hydrate in the humid weather, carry an umbrella and try to stay indoors between 10am to 3pm. Wear long attire and preferably shoes when visiting places of worship and photography might not be allowed. Also, try the tropical fruits available. Those are definitely fresher and cheaper as compared to them being sold in the West. Some good apps to have on your phone might be Grab and Gojek. These are ride hailing apps (like Uber) that work in various SEA countries.
Thank you for this video. Wonderful. This Southeast Asian region has more than dozens of beautiful cities. Malaysia alone has almost 20 cities, most of them are in Selangor.
@@Chai_Travel Thank you. I've been to many cities in this region, in Malaysia the most, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, many big cities in India, many big cities in Spain, now, just patiently waiting for another chance to be in Europe. Enjoy your weekend. 😄
i´ve been in every country in south-east Asia. difficult to say which is the best city, but i like very much Chiang mai, Phnom penh, Bangkok, Nha trang, Luang prabang....
All are good. All of them. I sat with a guy randomly last night outside a shop here and when he got his cigarettes and joined me for a beer he was new to Phnom Penh,Cambodia. It turns out he was from Laos. A place I'd been to many years before and is Luang Probang. Beautiful Country. He was from his home town working as a chef here to work and get money for his family. He was gay ( which means nothing to me and not at all worth mentioning anyway.) We got chatting and friendly about lives in general and then he photos of his home town which is a place I have known but never been to. Stunning scenery and so beautiful that it is well worth another visit to see what I missed last time. Many adventure activities there like rubber dingy water rapids and just one activity in a wonderful setting. I was amazed. I had known and heard of this place back quite a few years ago. Vang Vieng.
I'm in Bangkok right now and tbh it's not my cup of tea, I think I'm just not a city person but compared to places with lots of nature in Thailand like the islands or the rain forests, Bangkok is not super clean, people are less patient/less happy, prices are higher, everything is a bit hard to get to and traffic is crazy... But worth it for a quick little visit for sure.
I’m a new traveler too. But here’s the tip: after checking in your room, first check the window if it locks properly or you might loss your valuable items at night. 😢
I'm sorry to hear that! Never leave anything near the window anywhere would be your safest thing to do. Obviously there are very safe countries in the world but unfortunately it's very rare :(
If I'm rich, I'd say Singapore for the modernity and safety, not to mention that they are multicultural and its easy to communicate even with just English. Bali is really nice, but it can get annoying when its holiday season and tourists trash the place, there are party places and there are cultural / zen places there within a-not-so-long distance so I can just go wherever my mood wants to. Thailand is food heaven for me, and there are many cheap shopping places, they're more open about entertainment which can be negative sometimes. Malaysia is also a nice place because of the multicultural aspect too and the country is relatively safe with a good amount of entertainment places.
@@Iceyfire12 not really, there are places where a lot of cultures mix together, prime example in SE asia are singapore and malaysia, I've been to those 2 places and the multicultural aspect didn't feel awkward.
