Last time in Florence, we stayed in San Frediano and loved the area. Had a couple super simple but delicious meals at Trattoria Sabatino. Wish I was there now!
I love Florence. I took your tour of the Uffizi and walking tour of Florence w/statue of David. Your guide was fantastic. Even though I had been to Florence many times, I learned so much from the tour guide. I Highly recommend taking tours with the Tour Guy. You will not be disappointed.
I love the Santo Spirito area. The best hotel we’ve found is just a couple of minutes away on foot. We stay as it is easy accessed by car, Horto Convento Hotel.
I love staying at Antica Torre do Via Tornabuoni. Beautiful views of the Arno, amazing breakfast and great location. This is a high end shopper’s dream location.
I spent the month of April this year in an AirBnB apartment on via Castello d'Altafronte, two blocks from the Uffizi gallery and one block from the Arno river. (My daughter was in Florence for a college semester abroad and I was fortunate to be able to work remotely for some of the time.) The location was absolutely perfect, literally everything was 15 minutes away or less. It was also very convenient to go across the river to the Oltrano area and the Michelangelo park with the incredible views of the city. A nice 2 BR apt cost me something like 2500 Euros. If you are planning to stay in Florence for more than a week I would definitely investigate AirBnB, there are some incredible values there. Great video, thanks for posting!
We were in Florence October 2021 and stayed at Palazzo Gaddi, near il mercato centrale. The staff was amazing, we needed covid tests to return to the US and the staff made the appointments for us, helped us interpret the results and print them out for us. The hotel had an amazing rooftop lounge with a direct view of the Duomo. The hotel alone would have been amazing but the staff made it even more of an incredible stay. Restaurants all around and only a 4 block walk to the Duomo.
We’re going to be back in Florence in three weeks! My favorite city by far. Historic sites, beautiful city, fantastic food options, and very friendly people. Must do’s climb the Duomo, sunset at plazzalee Michael Angelo, the central market, gelato, gusta pizza. I love Oltarno, less crowded many airbandb there! You will be amazed at how much you will see in a day!
@@dant4489 first time we stayed above the golden view restaurant , the other two times down the street not far from there in the oltarano neighborhood Loved Mama Gina’s restaurant, porcini mushroom sauce over steak best meal ever!
Great advice! Last time I stayed all the way by the stadium and it was so inconvenient. Definitely going to stay near Piazza Santa Croce next time! My favorite square in the city!
I loved Florence - my grandmother would go on business each year. She'd bring back items from there for our xmas gifts. We stayed at a hotel with a rooftop terrace that overlooked the city. We ate lunch up in the hills outside of Florence. They had red and white checked tablecloths can't recall the name of the restaurant.
Yes! 🙌🙌 Booked our Airbnb in the best neighborhood by accident! Thank you! It’s 2022 and we are about to hit up Italy in October. So this is super helpful with food as well!! Love your channel!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Heading to Florence and also love staying in the Oltrano, Santo Spirito neighborhood. We’re staying at Horto Convento. Any hotel in this area you also like? Lots of terrific restaurants and shops.
I'll be in Florence in October as apart of my first trip to Europe, staying in Rome for 2 weeks so planning on taking train to Florence one morning then staying overnight so I'll have roughly two days there to see as much as I can!
Locanda Orchidea has very clean spacious rooms with huge ensuite modern bathrooms very near Piazza Signoria. Very convenient location. You must try Del Fagioli for their bistecca fiorentina.
Highly recommend the Grand Hotel Baglioni especially if you are taking the train into Florence. Have stayed there 4 times, great location, beautiful hotel and located near everything! Hotel is super helpful too!
Thought the daVinci museum was a sleeper option. Didn’t appear on any lists we looked at but was a really good time and more importantly when you are talking about museums in Florence it was NOT CROWDED. Favorite meal was probably the pizza and glass of wine upstairs at the market.
@@TheTourGuyVids Sure. Let me fill in the gaps to my initial question. The Four Seasons Firenze is god tier. Even if you can’t afford to stay there, definitely get dinner at its Michelin-star restaurant or get lunch at the cafe outside overlooking the absolutely enormous private garden. The hotel itself is an old palazzo that was meticulously restored.
Does anyone love Florence more than us? Prove it! Let us know what restaurants, bars, and hotels you loved. More unique the better!
Locale Firenze may be one of the best bars in the world. Don't sleep on it. Also Rasputin, if you can find it!
