- well folks bit of a failed ride today , had every intention of nipping out to try and source a tank ring for 1 of my givi tank bags to fit the gs for the upcoming Andorra trip but closed motorways , several different product codes etc etc it just didn't happen so reaching out to folks in the know as to what the correct fitment code is .. much appreciated

Watch the video The Missenden Flyer did on spot lamps a few years back. After watching, I bought the same Amazon lamps and have since bought another pair for an updated bike. They're really good, a breeze to install and only cost about £40.

Shaun, I've got a givi tank ring, which I think is off my 2017 gs. I've only ever had Gs, so it's deffo off one of them. You're welcome to it if you're stuck. I live about 1 mile from J & S in weaverham cheers Mike.

I used to stick small car spots on my bikes crash bars. Nice and cheap and now with led technology more light and less power drain.

Didn’t know those givi tank bag rings where model specific ,I thought they fitted all bikes fitted with a flush fuel cap . I like your new adventure style helmet ,looks as good them Arai & Shoei ones that the posh boys wear . Hope you get sorted for a tank bag ring , I am using a 12 quid Aldi special ,not bad & better than many 4 times the price . I am waiting for it to fall apart so I have an excuse to get a Givi ,but it still looks new . 👍

Hey up Shaun, you need a BF 11 just looked at mine that's on the my 2015 gs , thought i had a spare, but must of sold it, there are a couple that have a different codes that are the same, ride safe Simon B👍
I believe it’s bf 11 code that’s what my mate for his 16 Reg nice helmet Shaun I got the grey one when bmw was selling them carbon fibre with there name on it they don’t sell them no more 👍👍
Handlebar bag is worth considering

BF11 for the metal part that goes in the plastic ring.
have you consider the Lonerider ranger bag, doesn't need a tank ring
I have an GIVI tank ring from my old '15 GSA .. feel free to have it if you want, it's just sitting in the tool chest wasting away 😂
It's GIVI BF11 (this is the official code for the part) for all water cooled GS's.
Also been told its bf17 ?
@@TinsonTour BF17 It's for the Hexhead (the oil cooled) the ring (the plastic bit) it's the same, 99% sure, it's the locking plate that it's different, maybe will work (with some adaptation?) but i don't think it's worth it. (i will direct you to the site, but it's actually down right now.. obviously...)

Have a commander, give plenty of room for the earpieces or they will press on your ears. I had to hollow out the foam.
Sorry to hear your having problems with your ring but you were right, lots of people willing to suggest something to fit 😂 Now wood U or wood U knot plank for doing that errand for Faye? My guess is you knuckled down, got a bit of a hammer on and nailed the job 👍😁😂
Have you tried Nippy Normans for a tank ring? They sorted me for my 2012 GSA.

Airoyh make the bmw helmets that one you have is very near to the bmw pure i have the bmw carbon. As for tank ring i think it will fit from your 1250 i moved my kappa ring from s1000xr and it went straight on my gsa kappa is same make as givi
BF11 fitted my 2018 R1200GS and also my 2022 R1250GS for my Givi tank bag.

Shaun, if it suited you could always buy an SW Motech Daypack Bag n ring, or the SW Motech Micro Bag n ring. All you need to know when buying is how many screws are on your petrol tank. Some bikes have 5 screws others av 7 etc etc…!!!
I have several bikes here for the school and have a tank ring (SW Motech)attached to every bike. This way I can swap bags from one bike to another as the rings are all compatible with each of da SW Motech Bags.
I also have a Givi Bag and it’s similar set up on a separate bike.
Honestly… I personally think the SW Motech are far btr than the Givi Ones, but that’s just my opinion.

110% agree with the price of these so called pro items like Arrai and the rest. To be honest I think its a load of bollocks I have an Arai and to be 100% frank it is good but no better than me budjet job yes yes ok if I come off at 150 M.P.H. the Arai will be better but what the Fuck I dont ever go over 80 so whats the point ?? Same with gloves trousers jackets etc etc I honestly think its a rip off.. Bought a pair off boots the other week cost me 50 quid look just like me working boots but they fit and they look ok so why spend 350 on a similar boot ????
I've heard that the expensive helmets are no safer, just better fit and finish (usually) Could be wrong though 😄
