I’m impressed with how you made elements of both canon and what SHOULD have been for the sequel series that George Lucas had. Though in my opinion the first part was the best. Mace meeting and working with Anakin’s children was more significant than you think. That being said; my favorite part of the entire videos was how you made Mace Windu and Ezra connected in this part

7:31 I never got this whole thing about the new republic why would you demilitarize if there’s still a good chunk of hostile imperial remnant forces out there like wouldn’t you want to keep a not bad sized military incase they ever tried something
So I've found that it's a lot like the Continental Army following the American Revolution. In the same way G.Washington proposed a long standing military & Congress kinda rejected it, the same happened with Leia & the New Republic
I briefly mention it in this video, but many of the senators in TNR weren't impacted by Imperial Reign - in 'Mandalorian' someone even says "Empire, New Republic, all the same to me." To most of these people, aside from Leia, there's no point to having a military, they "won." And the Remnant was smart enough to not be visible, therefore "not a threat."
Mon Mothma was also really big on a whole demilitarized galaxy & she happened to be Chancellor. Her bliss is thinking that by decommissioning and stripping old Star Destroyers, it would crush Imperial Morale. All the while, like we see in 'Ahsoka' the idea of remaining militarized is shunned. TNR had a military force, but like we also see in 'Ahsoka' they're ill prepared, cause vets of the war went home to their families, like the Continental Army
Due to direct parallels of Star Wars in our own world throughout the franchise, I've connected it to the Continental Army, American Revolution -> War of 1812. Both the New Republic & US had very untrained militaries, and they paid for it. In Star Wars its the Hosnian Cataclysm (The Force Awakens) and irl its the Burning of Washington
