There were repeated references to face dancers being some kind of colonial organism, which was given as the reason for their sterility. There was also an entirely different kind of face dancer that could take a telepathic impression of a target, and perfectly emulate their responses and gain access to their memories. These had a very big risk assosciated with them, however. At any time while holding such a form, the face dancer could loose itself in the mind it was emulating and entirely become that person forever, right down to now having that individual's genetic code and being fertile as them. This would essentially resurrect the copied person, although they would be unaware of actions the face dancer had taken that were out of character for them, such as assassinations or passing on information.

This is some good dune lore, too bad the movie was delayed, I guess another year of your dune videos will make me a dune expert by the time the movie finally comes out!
@@GrimDarkNarrator I just watched the mini series. Kinda didappointing. They made it more into and action film and squeezed the depth out of it. Not even a peep about the Tleilexau, and no context behind the bene geserit. They just squeezed the philosophy out of it. And what about Lord LetoII, the Sandworm emperor? What was the original film like? Can I see it?
@@vickiezaccardo1711 There is no movie about the god emperor. There's only the Lynch version from 1984, which adapted (kinda loosely) the first book. The 2000 miniseries which again adapted the first book. Then the 2003 miniseries which adapted Dune Messiah and Children of Dune. Personally i like the last one the most. It did change some elements of the story and characters but unless you're a Dune purist, its a great epic miniseries, especially considering it was on a TV budget.

It will make both of us experts, lol. I might also finish up on all topics by then.

Comments for the algorithm
Thank you.
Count von Count from Sesame Street narrates Dune videos now???
Shapeshifters.
Why would these be the slaves?

Hello TH-cam algorithm. They could of made a fortune in the plastic surgery industry.
Callidus Beta-version ?
Sort of a less grimdark Callidus. Ironically, the face dancers are all male, as opposed to the Callidus who are female.

they're doing this probably right now, like with replacing public faces
