  • ATTN: It has come to our knowledge that EA has gone out of business. I'll leave this video posted just in case someone runs across a used model and is considering buying. Grapples are excellent attachments and there are several great ones on the market. Highly recommended addition to your machine.

    I had just ordered the 60" today just like in your video and just BEFORE I watched the video which was very good. Suprised me that there were comments saying they had gone out of business - hopefully not, and hope the 'wait' time isn't tooo long. BTW - I got an email from them confirming the order.

      That's a very interesting development. I'll be sure to stay tuned and see how it develops. I was also under the impression that they were no longer in business. I do know that they make / made outstanding pieces of equipment. We have several of their implements / attachments and have been very pleased with their products.

    I have the same EA grapple and had it for a year now and i have abused it and it still looks like new, they are the best grapple made in my book..

      @@hiddenacresoutdoors I've had it a year next month and it's been the most useful attachment I have for my tractor. I honestly can't imagine having a tractor without a grapple now!

      I absolutely love mine. Now if only my tractor would get back from the shop.....stupid wiring harness issues.

    Really great info video! I ordered my 55 wicked last week and will be looking at 10-12 weeks prior to delivery. I am told it will be worth the wait. I did all of my diligence on the different products and kept coming back to the Wicked. My neighbor bought a land pride and severely bent 2 teeth within an hour. I have to admit, I like watching Ted beating himself up on a tractor "testing" the Wicked. Are you still happy after having it for a year?

    • @hiddenacresoutdoors
      @hiddenacresoutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I love it. The only thing you have to be mindful of is that it gives you the feeling that you can do absolutely anything with your tractor. The grapple CAN do it but your tractor likely CAN'T - at least without bending or breaking something. If you go into the use with the thought in the back of your mind that you aren't driving a bulldozer then you should be fine. Whatever your tractor can handle the wicked grapple can handle better. Good luck and give us an update once you get your grapple installed and working. One other piece of advice is to go ahead a wrap the hydraulic hoses in the hard plastic lining things. It's a pain but it will protect your expensive lines much better than the fabric feel good things. Especially if you're like I think you are and plan on putting the new grapple thru its paces. Be sure to give us a follow up!

    Where can I purchase this grappler.

    • @hiddenacresoutdoors
      @hiddenacresoutdoors  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Everythingattachments.com This is the 60". They have other sizes available. Heavy duty 450 steel and lightweight so you don't eat up your loader capacity. This one weights in the neighborhood of 450 lbs if I'm not mistaken.

      I've heard the rumors but haven't seen anything definitive other than lawsuits and countersuits. Still, if you can find some of their equipment used it's good stuff.

      @@hiddenacresoutdoors It's not rumors buddy... they are court ordered shut down. Also, the products they were creating over the last year had weak welds.

    • @hiddenacresoutdoors
      @hiddenacresoutdoors  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Interesting. I have one of their land planes that I bought just before they went bankrupt and the welds are excellent. Go figure. I'm currently testing out some Titan Attachments stuff (articulating flail mower and a pto driven tiller). I had tried to order a flail mower from EA but never got a response. First I heard of the trouble was from Hank Hamilton on his channel.

    Did you run the grapple off of the rear hydraulics?

    • @hiddenacresoutdoors
      @hiddenacresoutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. I run them off of the non-detented side. It's not as fast and easy as adding a 3rd remote to the joystick but it's a lot cheaper.

      I couldn't agree more. Only problem with EA stuff is that it tempts one to do things with their tractor that it may not be able to do. The tractor is going to be the weak point for sure.
