Hello 👋🏼 it’s Ashley the lady that recorded this video and my mom who got temporarily arrested but TikTok took the 3rd video down so that’s why you don’t see her getting taken away forcefully. Anyways the officers names are Andrew the one that said my meds were narcotics he’s from Dryden Ontario and Nick villeneuve from west parry sound, Ontario and they work for O.P.P. I didn’t get the badge numbers as it was such a traumatizing incident.
Also not in the videos these officers were about to confiscate ALL my medication including the ones that weren’t in the video saying cause where I was headed to (Home) there was a Volleyball tournament happening and they didn’t know if I was on my way there to sell those pills. So I had to show them paperwork that I was a cancer patient and that I had to have all these meds with me. I even had to tell them I would call my doctor as I have his cell number in case I need to call him when I have a pain crisis. They finally believed me and gave back those other meds only after they STRIPPED my entire vehicle apart looking for Alcohol or whatever they thought I shouldn’t be having into the community. They didn’t find nothing and they also searched my daughter and myself and after that they let my mom out the police cruiser and escorted us out towards the bush road going towards our home.
Omgoodness never thought I would get treated so poorly like I was a dangerous criminal or whatever but now both me & my mom refuse to go that route even though during the winter time using the winter road is the best time to get supplies in as flying them in is very expensive.
I also called my doctor who prescribed my medication asking if Gabapentin was a narcotic and he said NO and also said it’s not a controlled substance either. I also looked online and looked on Ont Highway traffic act and couldn’t find anything on that either if Gabapentin was a narcotic and couldn’t find anything.

Also someone showed them the videos I made and they Basically said I couldn’t afford to get a lawyer and if I did I would be wasting money coz nothing would happen to them and then they went on with there day.
It’s outrageous that you, or anyone else would be treated this way by people who claim to be professionals hired for your service and protection, yet just instantly assume your medications were narcotics, and took action based off that wrong assumption. All without even taking a moment to do their job correctly and verify before they put an innocent person in handcuffs. Unfortunately, using logic, or even doing the right thing is no longer a priority for them. It’s all about what kind of dirt can they find on you, what can they get you for. It’s also alarming that they would just seize anyone’s medication, seemingly without even considering the potential consequences, but they can easily dream up some ridiculous scenario of you trying sell your medication to teenagers at a volleyball tournament. What? That’s where their minds go, without the slightest consideration of your well-being, because preserving your wellbeing doesn’t increase their stats, or require you to pay some kind of fine or fee. Thank you for having the courage to share your story.
Of course your doctor is right. Those cops were WRONG AS HELL! Whoever trained them that way did a criminal act within itself. Gabapentin is not a narcotic, not a controlled substance nor a drug of abuse (like oxycodone, hydrocodone, morphine, opana, Xanax or klonopin). The fact that they didn’t know that and treated you so poorly brings to question the entire interaction. Dirty cops or just ignorant assholes, not sure but neither one needs to be on the force.
Please sue them. What they did to you was illegal and insane. Neither one of you deserved that, Noone does. These bad cops are the reason why so many ppl hate them. I hope you ladies are doing OK and may everything work out for you ❤🙏.

Certainly is new to me. Had a friend (as did I) have to take insulin by needles. They wanted to arrest her for the needles claiming she wanted to shoot up.

@@fd9987 How about a violation of her fourth amendment to travel freely? She was detained for no reason. If I understand that correctly, the initial detention was for allegedly hitting someone with the car, which never happened. And they could even prove it with their video. So every 'evidence' obtained after that, should be dismissed as fruit of the forbidden tree. They had nothing on her which would warrant a detention.

I only did that coz I didn’t want them taking away my meds as I needed them and getting new prescription sent to where I live takes time and they were also going to confiscate my other meds not in the video away but had to show them paperwork they finally believe me and they also released my mom and let us go home.

I keep my meds in my car, boat and atv. Never know when I could get stranded. also, I only keep a few, cuz once, I had a whole scrip taken, on the day I pict it up, . some creep broke window and absconded.. Try getting a dr to renew a scrip for pain meds, even with a police report.

OMG Gabapentin is not a narcotic. I know because I take them too. I feel for this lady.
Even if it was, its not illegal to be on prescription opioids and driving. Its illegal to drive when intoxicated by them, which would mean youre abusing them with too high a dose. Oh. And narcotics is a propagandized legal term, not a medical one.
Correct but it's still on the DEA schedule (which I find ridiculous). This was only until recently. For decades gabapentin was not a controlled substance.

Gabapentin is an anticonvulsant not a narcotic as the officer stated. Canada has 6 drug schedules. Actual narcotics or opioids would fall under Schedule 1.

There was a 3 part series on TV on how the cops were involved in how many indigenous people were dying in strange circumstances and would have been investigated as foul play, were often told to the public that no foul play was suspected.
When cities stop hiring police candidates out of the least qualified and least intelligent people in the candidate application pool and they actually pass real tests hopefully things will improve and change. I sincerely hope this woman is doing well as can be expected.

I lost my mom to brain , lung and liver cancer in a matter of 5 months from not knowing anything to funeral. She was and is my best friend and we were as close as a mother son could be. If i could’ve had her here to see the birth of my son I would’ve given anything. My own fault to wait til 50 to have my first kid. He is a spitting image of myself and I just wish she could’ve seen and shared how alike we really are!! Good work bro. I’ve dealt with the worst of the worst of bad policing/ harassment my entire life!! Keep teaching!!

I was hit by a truck as a pedestrian on pain killers for 9 months and yes my doctor said it was okay to drive on them he said it's only an issue when first taking them or when increasing dosage
As soon as they open the door I’d tell them to either de-escalate or get their supervisor/Commanding officer on scene because they have no reason to treat someone with stage 4 cancer the way they did. Immediate dismissals all around and lawsuits aplenty for harassment and abuse of authority

My family is going through negligent police. My mom is going in and out cancer. My brother is a drug addiction and alcoholic. He keeps threatening to kill her and any other family that enters the house. The troopers removed him 3 times this year alone. My mom continues to files protection from abuse and the police continue to not arrest him. He continues to violate probation and he always comes back and the ignorance of the police put my mom and others at high risk. He has even unplugged her oxygen and threatened to stab the troopers. He should have been put in jail years ago and the troopers say it's not their decision. It is insane
