Toaster oven hack: I lined the bottom with large ceramic tiles from hardware store to keep the temperature more consistent. But I also use a tile as a baking sheet - so I don’t contaminate the real baking sheet.

I think that big colorful one would be comfortable for those of us with a bit of arthritis in our hands.
I love this. I live overseas and the shipping is almost as much as tool itself. I can get the pieces easily enough. I saw the video from the fella in Austria/Germany and between these two, I think I can manage to make one.

I love this DiY 👁️-cord maker tool! Thank you for inspiring me to pull out my polymer clay stash & tools for another project. My mind is already reeling with eye-themed embellishment ideas. Who doesn’t love a good pun?!?

Love to see Diana's yarns out in the wild. Her colors are like no other and each package comes with a nice personal note and a little origami crane. Always a joy to receive. The link is not workable, but dyedianadye is easy to find.

Loved seeing what you're working on. The I cord making demo was fantastic. How about Wave Motion, Zen Waves, Feel the Waves, or Catching the Wave for the sweater name. Thanks for everything Laura. Diane

This live was also an awesome class! Thanks Laura, it’s always nice to spend time with you :). As for names for the awesome sweater: 1-Dwynwen (White wave of peace) or 2-Faneel (Sea Waves). I would love he iCord maker :)

So totally obsessed with i-cord makers. I collect them. I have spools, cranky machines (including one from the 40s) and now I’m obsessed with the latch hook ones. As for the sweater, I keep thinking Waveform for a name but I bet there is something called that already. Great show. Thanks for doing it. Can’t wait to see what you come up with for a project that incorporates i-cord. I’ll be totally down with that. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Thank you for another great live! I look forward to crafting some I-cord tools at some point! I suggest tonnan mara for the sweater - its sea waves in Scots Gaelic. Or tonnach which is wavy.

Crafter thought-- (what a fantastic idea you have) instead of polymer use Apoxie Sculpt (by Aves Studio---- it's an air dry resin clay that dries hard like a rock - much more durable than polymer)

Name for the sweater - Hawaiian word, Waha - the curl of a wave or barrel. The sweater does look like a lot of curls of waves.

I like the name Tumutumu for your new sweater. It means crest in Samoan. I’m imagining people chanting “Tumutumu, Tumutumu” as a giant wave crests just offshore as Lola swoops in with her helicopter to rescue stranded beachcombers before they are swept out to sea. Or, maybe she’s just dropping in to party with them.

You can start the icord by doing long tail cast on. Nimble Knitter Norman shows this on his TH-cam. Thank you for your great tutorial.

Omg thanks! I’ve never ordered something so fast so I can try to make it. Latch hooks and duct tape came together (I have loads of polymer clay but I’m impatient and want to see if I can do it before I make and bake one. I’m using nylon cord as I am a jewellery maker and want to get something different in my repertoire. Thanks xx new follower here

Ok so this is a throwback to your usedtobefavorite knitting tool: the stitchsaver! To pick up for sleeves or neckline, I use a 5" length of stitch saver and a Silvalume to pick up stitches with the hook end (works best when working on smaller needle sizes - gotta watch stitch size on larger needle sizes). Attach the pointy end of the tool to the saver, and your working needles to the other end of the saver and you are good to go! Adjust the length of the saver to suit your work. The stitches are mounted backwards so I knit into the back loop on the first row

Apparently everyone that watched this bought up the less expensive items at the Knitting Closet link and are now selling their homemade products on etsy. * sigh * I could not figure out what size the amazon ones were so took info from Knitting Closet and your gauge size and hunted through etsy who actually has the necessary information printed in their selling items. Ordered the ones I needed and was able to use PayPal as well! Thanks for your info!

    - “Make a Splash” and “Weatherly” seem underutilized as pattern names on Ravelry.
    - Oceanography definition of “Fetch” is the distance over which wind blows to form waves.
