I got one about months ago. Prior to that I was using a Bottle O Blues. This blows that out of the water. Much more volume and tone. More dollars too but it's worth it.
Hi Jason, Thank you for the subliminal plug in your video I really do love this mic. I've used a variety of vocal mics for Harmonica over the past 50 years. I've been using a Shure 545S mic with a volume control mod for 16 years. I've always preferred a tone that was more articulate to one that's an overdrive sound that's too cluttered. I play a variety of music styles so I like a mic that's more versatile and can be used in multiple situations. The one drawback to the SM 57"s and the 545's is the noise that happens when your handling them when they're turned up and from your breathing especially in the recording studio. A quiet mic that responds to your playing Harmonica is just what I've been looking for. This mic grill is not much wider and it weighs about the same as the 545S I've been using. I like the shape of the top of the flare on the grill because you can actually put the harmonica at the optimum position in front of the element. I should be able to adapt to it easily. Thanks for the work you and the crew at Lone Wolf have done to make this a Great Harmonica Microphone.
I have been a huge fan since you were out sharing your first studio album "Rocket 9" and it's with great joy that I will be getting this microphone you helped inspire and create. Thanks for all the inspiration MoonKat!!
That mic sounds & looks great. I too had a much loved crystal jt-30 - and the crystal slowly died. Spent years trying to get a sound as good, and ended up at a Shure 57 sound. As I get better at it I actually want to hear what I am doing! If I live to be two hundred & ten I'll be nearly as good as you. Keep at it, love your playing.
Hi Jason, Thank you for the great description of the new microphone. But I would still like to try it before buying. Is there a store in the Czech Republic where this would be possible? Thank you very much.
Unfortunately not there are however dozens of videos. Additionally you could try a 57 for an extremely similar sound then imagine if it was much easier to hold and came with a volume control.
I just ordered one. This is great. I use a Green Bullet. The volume knob it what I needed on it most and the 57 falls out on my hands and is annoying because it wasn't made for this use.
@@jasonricci I hope he will start making the xlr one again in the future. I have a xlr samsung wireless set up so the 1/4" would require me to buy an adapter from Blows Me Away (more length and weight). I ordered a Audix fireball V for now. It sounds pretty good although its nowhere as cool looking as your mike and it does not have that cool flared end to facilitate easy holding like your mike.
JASON RICCI, does this lonewolf microphone fix the impedance issues with using any guitar amplifier because mostly its a mismatch issue causing frequency masking problems. I'm trying to get that midrange honky harp tone by using any cheap microphone like a shure 57 or shure 58 with any guitar amplifier but not sure which harp guitar pedal can fix this problem.
@@jasonricci hahaha I'm watching that right now, when are you going to post on more triangles and how to use them I can't stop playing them, I'm gonna buy your signature mic I just don't know how to use the overdrive sound yet I'm new to the whole electronic side of it. I'm going to get an Orange amp. Pat Ramsey and you have saved my life multiple times, anything you play on the harmonica I've been trying to play. I think I'm gonna move to neworleans.
It would be a dream to have a lesson with you I'd be a kid in a candy shop with every lick you'd teach me. God it would be a dream to hear you play in person. I just want you to know this music is all I live for and you and Pat are the reason I'm playing today so thank you and keep doing what you are doing.
The nice thing about the sm57 is that is it can also be used on a mic stand. I’ve heard you cannot with this one from a representative on FB. I wonder why it’s discouraged with this one..
Its almost identical. It would be difficult for anyone to pass a blind test. This mic has perhaps a hair more bass to it. The main difference is its designed to be much easier to hold and has no handling noise unlike the 57 which I battled for years.
This is perfect timing! I've been looking at buying my first mic, either a Bulletini or an Ultimate SM57. I have question regarding how it connects. What kind of cables would I need for either impedance?
Hi jason. I have a question about your wireless system. My transmitter the samson ax1 is defect. It's not availible anymore. You have another one i think. Do you have another brand. Greetz Alfred from the netherlands.
There are some newer brands out there Im sorry I don't know the names off hand....They are much more streamline as well and look great! The recievers are almost as small as the transmitters! I do know Sennheiser is currently making one....Sorry I cant be of more help...J
Happy to see You so healthy, full of energy and doing what You like best!

Absolutely beautiful.

Ive been playing since I was 11 and pro since I was 18 and this is the best harp mic Ive ever owned.
Great to hear!!!!
I swear you are like Bob Odenkirks cool cousin lol sweet mics man
That's the cleanest mic I've heard! Ever!

Mooncat...I am stoked to finally see you play live at your gig next week at Terra Blues in NYC. Bring on the tone brotherman!!!

Great harp player
Okay, now I want one.
Pretty cool. I like the hammer tone paint style
Great demo!
tottally getting this mic!

What a great mike. I just love it. Totally kicks ass. " I GOT MINE".
I went to buy one of these last week and unfortunately they have been discontinued. They still sell the 1/4" jack version however.
The 1/4 is the same mic in every way just an easier jack for most people.

Jees jas lose the tie
Been listing to you a few years now your harp licks are truly unbelievable
Keep the music in ya

Congrats, brother. She looks and sounds great!
You have finally constructed your own light saber. :D
HA!!!!
Sweet!!!
Jason, when you cup this microphone, do you keep the middle finger on your right hand straight or curled around the barrel of the mic?
No more on my other hand I think. I'll have to go watch one of my own videos. 😆
guaaauuu jason ricci me gustaria que agas videos de tus tecnicas traducido en castellano
I wanna be Jason Ricci 😍
I use a 57

Yes. It is currently ONLY offered in HI Z so simply use a standard 1/4" guitar cable. ❤️
I still don't understand how to use the pedals to get that sound
Have you seen my vid on getting loud with no feed back without any pedals yet?

I also have a question about some of the riffs you do and how you link them together with the permutations that you use.
I understand now...

It's not being discouraged, it's designed and made to be held in the hand when playing Harmonica.
The microphone is used on a mic stand in this video at the 5:45
Hi! Would you mind give me the difference between your mic and an SM57. I'm curious how it is different as a clean sound.
Either! You can order a Hi-z model and use a 1/4 to 1/4 guitar cable or you can use an xlr and a hi to low impedance transformer.
Thanks, Jason.
may i have one
