      Same hear. I have some auto skill's , But it seems easy to replace. My truck is 2001 Silverado. The EBCM is in the same place like his video shows. kind of tight to get to. The only thing I don't know is the model number of the EBCM. I hope it's the same one he's got listed on his note.

    Could also be a dirty ground. Before you replace the control module, check for a clean ground. It might save you some money.

      Where's the ground at?

    • @B1G5L1M
      @B1G5L1M 4 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      The ground for the module is on the frame opposite to the abs module beneath the driver door-there should be about three wires, the heavier gauge wire is the module ground. You'll want to gingerly remove the bolt and clean up the surrounding area and the wire terminal ends with a wire brush or the like. When you put it back together use a dab of dielectric grease to ensure a good connection and to dispel water.

    Spent several hundred dollars on a garage to try and repair my ABS system/pump. They repaired the assembly, but now it engages incorrectly due to a bad wheel beaeing/toner ring. What a waste of my time and money. I'm just gonna unplug the friggin thing and remove the ABS light in the instrument cluster

    Hold up!! before pulling that module out try this. Wiggle the power connector to the module. the one shown here with the red seal around the plug. By accident I found that by moving the plug I could make the ABS and Brake lights come on or go off. Probably some corrosion on the terminals. I slightly bent the male lugs so they would make better contact when the plug is reconnected. It's been awhile and both lights are still off. Probably a good idea to check the grounds too.

    • @adamhodge7887
      @adamhodge7887 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have 268 as well, I think it is the control valve / pump bad or going bad, you can get an autel bluetooth reader that works with your phone on amazon if you don't have one already and you can clear the codes and do an auto bleed, listed to see if your pump/valve kicks on. They say to check grounds under drivers seat on the frame, mine were fine. I will replace abs control valve / pump and let you know, but it may not be for a few weeks
