I think they mean using caffeinated solution on the scalp. Theres a tiktok trend of ppl using ground up coffee beans on their scalp, mary seed oil, etc, and telling people that it works for hair regrowth with no evidence whatsoever to support their claims.

I accidentally bumped my head on the 10th day after my FUE hair transplant while exiting a cab. I was wearing a P-Cap at the time. Although the impact didn't seem hard, I'm concerned that maybe it was harder than I realized. I'm extremely worried about it, especially since I felt a sensation similar to a needle pinch in that specific area. Is there cause for concern? Could this have dislodged my graft? 😢

Watching one of your chats with other doctors .. he said finasteride for the crown and dutasteride for the frontal area . Dr J looked quite surprised when he said that ! Like he’s never heard of that theory . Can u discuss this more ?

    • @aaronbritt1886
      @aaronbritt1886 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

Finasteride works by blocking an enzyme called Type II 5α-reductase. Dutasteride blocks both type 1 and type 2 reductase. So it has nothing to do with where on the scalp it blocks. Dutasteride is better because it blocks both.

I'm in the testing phase atm. But what i'm doing it taking liquid caffeine and mixing it with minoxidil 1 part caffeine and 3 parts minoxidil. I'm using the minoxidil at night with no caffeine and using the mixture in the morning with the caffeine. Iv'e heard that using to much caffeine can actually hurt the growth of the hair follicles. Using the right amount actually can help along with the minoxidil. There are no studies that Iv'e found on how much caffeine is needed to help so I'm doing the test myself.

@@MooseMaverick. I modified how i take the caffeine. It turns out that if you mix the caffeine and minoxidil it will start to crystalize. So, what I do is use the liquid caffeine first and wait until it dries which only take 5 minutes. Then I apply the minoxidil over that. In theory, The caffeine will help the minoxidil absorb better. I'm still using it so we'll see.

what I don't understand is that the supposed idea behind Minoxidil is that it was developped for reducing blood pressure and when applying it topically, it reduces bp to the follicles, yet now they tout caffeine to stimulate...you can't have it both ways. I've been wrestling with slightly elevated bp as long as I've been losing hair, which makes me think, but that's also about the exact amount of time I've been on Minox. No idea which causes which.

While I like this show in general, I think the doctors missed the point...or they should've titled the video differently. The 'trend/supposed benefits' of caffeine is actually adding a teaspoon of ground coffee to your shampoo in the palm of your hand. It exfoliates, nourishes and has antioxidants. Other qualified/certified doctors online are also encouraging this method. Nowhere in this video was this method addressed... (that's what people are now doing). And that's what I was looking forward to be hearing about, by the 'title' of this TH-cam video. I have also started using this method this past week. I think they missed the point

It works, but you would need to let the coffee sits for a long time on your scalp to see any result. And even if you did, the results aren't as good as other topicals like minoxidil.

The gentleman to the right has spoken of this in another video. He says that while they suggest twice a day for minoxidil, this is only because the initial tests of its efficacy used this (and he was involved with these tests) but in his experience, there is roughly the same effect once daily, so you can just go with that. If you go on this channel you can find the video where he mentions it.
Every other day however, I don't believe has been mentioned. You'll have more effect than not, but he does say that once daily is what he would recommend.

the main problem is simply all shampoos (even the ketoconazole one) have 1,4-dioxane, which is a carcinogenic substance. no one talks about it, you guys should.
if theres any option of a ketoconazole/antidandruff shampoo without this shit, let me know. its very hard to find even a normal shampoo without it, because it derives from sodium laureth sulfate, which is present in basically all the industrial stuff that generates foam, thats the purpose of this substance
so, leaving the ketoconazole shampoo on the scalp for a prolonged time is even worse, you would be giving more time for your skin to absorb the bad stuff too..

@TheHairLossShow @@michaelkovac4382 the real research is the use of it as a topical - there are formulated topicals (not shampoos) made by reputable doctors - research by NIH, Dermatology, etc. - that would have been an interesting discussion. for personal use the best is to acquire pure caffeine (easy to do online as liquid. sold for people to add to there own beverage) then mix it with purified water at 5mg/100ml (to use as one ml applied to scalp at 0.05mg/ml daily). very easy and extremely cheap to do yourself. the research says it is highly absorbed directly at the follicle and is a substantial dht blocker with no noticeable systemic effects. been doing this for six months and has helped and at worst have had no systemic side effects. you do need to be careful, like anything you can cause detrimental effects using to much caffeine. the available science is 0.01mg/ml to 0.05mg/ml once or twice daily.

Please reply fully. My case is
Im 22 years old with height 175 cm and weight just 51 kg and i was using 1 ml of topical minoxidil for past 2 years and also last year 1 mg of finasteride everyday from july to september 2023. That is for 2 months. My case before taking finasteride was like i could only ej**cuate only on certain positions where there is more blood flow to the p*nis. I think i have sime signs of gastritis, Sometimes when i urinate it doesnt go fully too. Also there were little signs of ED even before taking finasteride. Now my case when i took finasteride for those 2 months was same as the before situation. But i decided to stop on September only due to some additional side effects which i experienced.
    Those side effects were:
There was like 50 to 60 % reduced sensation when my p*nis is stroked, its like it got very much numb, the intensity of my org***sm was reduced largely, when i try to mstrb*te and im at the climax, the semen comes normally for few seconds then the e**jculation flow of semen is stopped for 1 or 2 seconds and then continues again at last for max 1 seconds. Means somewhere in between the pleasure and the flow of semen stops. (Like a short type of retrograde ejaculation). Now its been around more than 4 months since i stopped the medicine. The only side effect i could say which has been reduced among these is the retrograde type one. But that too not largely. Rest all side effects i think im dealing with it rigth now too. I have been continuing only 1 ml topical minoxidil. I had researched more than 100 videos atleast even just from this channel for the information of finsateride and my mind was prepared for taking finasteride too. Even adter getting sides i believed it will go away but it didnt. Im planning to take the medication again. So please answer. my questions are :
1.) Which all doctors should i consult for my each and every problems?
2.) Am i not an eligible candidate for this medicine. i dont wanna use topical finasteride instead use this oral finasteride itself
3.) Im planning to go to gym from next week will it progress my baldness more
4.) What all tests i should to check where i have any deficiency. Also what type of tests. Please tell all. Like testosterone test etc..
5.)Day by day when i masturbate the intensity of my orgasm while ejaculating is getting worse. What reason might be this
