I actually got the win condition with Atemis during sealed, using "Flood of Tears" to make sure I had things with different CMC in my hand. It was quite exciting.
What I love about Bag of Holding is that you can activate it from turn 2 onwards whenever you have nothing better to do, exile your uncastables, hopefully find playables, and then later return all the 6- or 7-drops you exiled with it to your hand and win the game with them.
Masterful Replication has a Limited mode and a Commander mode. Also we should have Nissa in this set not Vivian. If you're making the Chandra set you need her crush.
knight of the ebon Leigon turns into the abyss so freaking fast if left unchecked. i had a game that i won off the back of this thing swinging in every turn and double activating it and killing everything my opponent had.
8:15 Llanowar Mentor was part of a cycle from Future Sight that all made a real card. All of them made existing cards except Goldmeadow Lookout, which was a call forward to Lorwyn.
I'm kind of disappointed Modern Horizons didn't have any spellshapers, especially ones like these that made existing cards. They are kind of like Maguses, creatures that emulate cards in a fair and roundabout way.
Had Bishop of Wings with 3 Angels and it was great. Especially the curve out of this into the 3 mana angel. That puts you directly to 25 life making it a 4/4 for 3.
Gotta say, Leyline of Anticipation pairs beautifully with the 4/4 flash wolf lord. Let’s you play any spells on your opponents turn so you can consistently get the wolf token generated. Niche scenario, but don’t overlook the opportunity if it shows up.
Shared Summons seems pretty good when you consider you are paying 1 mana more than Inspiration to get your 2 best creatures left rather than probably a land and some random spell.
By the way, if I understand correctly how it works, you can use Ajani +0 ability, and then bounce him while he is still on the stack, and when he comes back, you can reuse his ability.
Knight of ebon legion plays much better than a b from having played with it. Also love the "have a hard time believing a lifelink deathtouch isn't a vampire" when there is a non vampire deathtouch lifelink in the set that is a zombie wizard.
Just because Brought Back has more implication for Modern doesn't mean it was meant for Modern Horizons. They do cards for Modern all the time. Modern Horizons was about doing things they COULDN'T do in Standard sets. Also, Marshall's F for Repeated Reverberation was super lazy. As LSV says, it has applications. And just like with Bolrac-Clan Crusher, LSV seems to have missed the point of the big creatures with tap abilities. Just as the Crusher was a 4/4 so that you had a body when you ran out of counters to spend, the Sphinx has the loot ability in order to set up it's alt-win condition, because a 4/5 flyer alone is not a game-winning threat in Commander.
Wait, no mention of Rienne, Angel of Rebirth? I mean, I am assuming the card is at best a C or D in draft but still, surprised it wasn't brought up in this video :S
That's not a draftable card so no reason to give it a score. You can only get it as a buy a box promo so unless your group uses funky rules you wouldn't even see it in sealed.

Then we would also see the planeswalker deck cards that have some version of "search for specific planeswalker".
I know that Kaalia is bad from a disciplined perspective, but my friends and I always draft for fun and never for any prize support. So with that being said how many angles, demons, or dragons do you think you would need to make her feel like a creature that says draw a spell.
You’d need a 6th if your deck to be angels dragons and demons in order to hit once on average. That’s about 6-7 of them before it’s good, which is a fuckin stretch

With Vivian's +1, you can put two counters on one creature and give that creature trample, or one counter on each of two creatures and give them both trample. What you *cannot* do is give two counters to one but trample to both. Each target must get at least one of what's being distributed. Also, worth noting that you must announce the distribution when you activate the ability. If you target two, but one of the targets is illegal when it resolves, the remaining target will still only get one counter (so one counter simply goes to waste).
If you target two creatures, you must distribute the counters among both of them. So yeah you can split the counters if you just target the one creature.
GL drafting both those cards, then even at that you will rarely get both in a without one being removed potentially. Yes though this would be amazing to pull off. :D Would love to draft both

That is a Planeswalker deck card, so even though it's technically a part of the set, you cannot open it in a regular pack of Core 2020 and therefore has no impact on limited.

If you choose the same type they will get +1/+1, but if you choose two different (from what i understand) both creature types should get +1/+1. Name elemental and horror and yarok will be a 5/7.
in my experience this format is super slow, i had a deck with 2 7 drops and 2 8 drops go 7-1, granted i did have 4 murder in my pool but you can play super slow in sealed at least

No way. Morrland inquisitor has a much better ability. Its threat of activation can make it get in for 4-6 in the early game. Throw an equipment on it i´na dit can be a house. Starfield mystics ability is mostsly irrelevant, You are wrong, bad and should feel bad.
Except you can build around this rare. You shouldn't put a bear with an overcosted ability that didn't see play back in it's old limited format when it was first printed in. It's a D. Trying to argue why a common that is not something you want is better than a card you can actively build around. It's okay to be wrong and being called on on it is also fine. You don't have to dig your way deeper.
Moorland Inquisitor saw a lot of play In Avacyn restored. You obviously didnt play that format. Please explain to me how you build around this rare. The fact that pacifism now costs w instead of 1w is not éxactly a gamewinning combo.

WAR was a nice change of pace. It's not like that's been the norm. In fact, in the last year of sets, only WAR and the Core sets have had 5+ Planeswalkers openable in Limited.

Final thought: There's a gray area with regards to what can be printed in any given scope of design. This is far outside that gray area for a core set, and bad design for any set where the subtle clauses of the card would actually matter.

Icon of ancestry's ability is a static ability. It does not trigger. So Yarok does not affect it.

@@Mordalon 1. Quality matters, unless you want Homelands 2. We just had a drain 2 for BB at (C), just reprint that... don't take a MH1 card and make it worse.
2. Who is to say Forge is "too complex"? Any objective third party who can count lines of text; but I'd expect someone who has actually played the game of magic to notice the hoops they went through on this card to let you play Karn from the top of your deck... when Future Sight lets you do it, no fuss.
Final thought: There's a gray area with regards to what can be printed in any given scope of design. This is far outside that gray area for a core set, and bad design for any set where the subtle clauses of the card would actually matter.
@@williamsimkulet7832 What does Homelands have to do with anything? You seem to be all over the place, bringing up random non sequiturs. Are you being serious? You think a card card that costs BB and does 2 damage to only creatures is just going to be replaced by card that costs 3B and does 3 to any target? They fill completely different roles. You are ignoring good game design just to appease some arbitrary aesthetic taste.
Again, just because a card in MH1 could have found A standard environment it could be printed in doesn't mean would fit into THIS standard environment. And the Forge fits into completely different decks than Future Sight, just because they have similar abilities doesn't mean they would fill the same role in Standard.
A card in M20 being worse and similar to a card in MH1 isn't "bad design". All your point is that they are similar, yet somehow that makes it bad design. What about that leads to bad gameplay? They are both cards designed primarily for their respective Limited Environments, them being similar to each other is of no consequence, other than your sense of aesthetics.
