I have a 2014 jeep wrangler the AC is not working, I took it to a shop and I was told the TIPM needs to be replaced but everything electrical works fine it’s just the AC 😕 could it be something else?
Good video. What does the plunger button do ? Thanks
That is a great question 🤔 😅
Other symptoms may be if the wipers and lights come on when you start the vehicle, even though they’re turned off. Turn signals are then unusable also.
Thank you for your valuable feedback and information. It is helpful 😀
This is my exact issue :/
The wipers turning on by themselves is incredibly annoying.
What if I did snap that little piece of plastic on the side of the lever? Mine were super stuck/brittle and I wasn't gentle enough.
It should be okay
I have a 2010 Jeep Wrangler, no charging new alternator even and still no charging. I learned to find out the voltage regulator is built-in the p. C. M. Does this other module TIP m have anything to do with that? Or can I just run a external voltage regulator on the alternator?
There's an internal relay that is responsible for windshield wiper activity controls and they do fail.
As for the headlights being intermittent it's very much possible that a connection going to or from the TIPM as at fault however there isn't a dedicated relay controller inside for it.
However, we do have a troubleshooting step-by-step guide for the headlight issue:

I have a problem on my 2013 Jeep Wrangler, namely there is no communication between the PCM and the TCM, the problem appeared after I removed the TIPM without clamping the (+) and (-) poles or researching it. What am I doing ?

It's possible that a relay or fuse went out. Scan your vehicle with an OBDII scan tool and find out what codes it's showing. Find out which module your module isn't able to communicate with to dial down on where the issue is.
If the CAN bus is down, check for grounding and any signs of corrosion. Make sure all the plugs are free of debris and dirt and re-install all the plugs into the TIPM after carefully inspecting it.
Try a hard battery reset and scan the vehicle again for codes.

if that is bad on my 2013 wrangler would that make my wipers blow a fuse? and my blinkers blink with just my foglights?
If the wipe fuse keeps blowing, either you have a short in the harness or the the wiper motor is faulty.
There is a relay inside the TIPM that is responsible for operating the windshield wipers and wiper fluid pump which can also be a cause of this issue.
Check to see if the wiring and the motor itself are good and not faulty.
As for the fog lights and turn blinkers operating only when foglights are turn on, it's possible that the pins on the harness that connects to the TIPM needs to be reconfigured if at any point the TIPM was replaced or reprogrammed.
Pin re-configuration on the TIPM harness plug is actually quite common as it's the recommended fix especially after the TIPM has been reprogrammed. Visit upfix.com
Hi i have a 2008 jeep wrangler jk , recently i noticed we i start it. The windshield wipers will go by their self and the headlights will come on and you cant shut them off unless you shut the vehicle off. Once i discount the negative terminal its back to normal for awhile. Do you think this is a tipm problem. Thanks

@@upfixauto thank you so much for getting back to me, I greatly appreciate it. I will definitely go through these steps. Thanks again.
My wipers were not working and the dealer said it would cost $2000 to replace the tipm. I tired this trick and it made things worse now I have no wipers horn and a bunch of engine trouble codes. Any thoughts
Similar issues here. Mechanic blindly just said I should replace the TIPM which is $1,000 online. Trying to troubleshoot, but getting nowhere.
We rebuild TIPMs, it takes a few days. www.upfix.com/search/?q=Tipm&s=
