While we do support that year make and model as it does have a 722.9 TCM, the U1138 points to a network failure with the auxiliary oil pump not the TCM. Check the CAN bus connections, the wiring and plugs for any issues, and lastly inspect the auxiliary oil pump itself for any faults.

There is a separate module for the sunroof that is separate from the windows. However, 9CDB could be an FRM-related code if you're having issues with your power windows not the sunroof which the FRM does control. I would recommend checking the fuses first for the sunroof before deeming the control module for it to be faulty.

It really depends on what optional interior upgrades were made for a specific Prius. While trim options may not directly affect the type of part number your vehicle has, what is certain is that a four-button and a 7-button MFD are not interchangeable and may reduce functionality if the incorrect is installed in the vehicle.

The last letter in the part number is the revision number from the manufacturer. L32E should go up to H but simply buying a used TCM with the latest letter may not resolve the issue if the hardware has already failed. If you get your original refurbished which we recommend, we would ensure hardware issues are corrected and the software matches based on your VIN to ensure functionality of the TCM.

It is a little hard to get it out. Just push down the white tab and pull out straight. It can be in there very tight.

There should be a diagnostic mode built into your MFD that will specifically test the MFD unit itself for any faults. However if the fuel consumption, regeneration and wheel interface have all stopped working, either there is a connection issue, gateway interface problem or the ECU itself if faulty. Disconnect the 12v accessory battery and test it to see if it's still good. If that checks out, clean the connectors on the ECU as well as on the MFD to ensure there are no issues there. Finally, you can reset the MFD with a hard factory reset in the settings. I hope this helps.

The R170 Mercedes-Benz ECUs are indeed VIN encoded. Meaning the car won't start with incorrect VIN. If you have the original ECU, visit our website and scroll down to custom repairs where you can submit more information about the issues you're having with your unit. Please make sure to provide the VIN, issues and most importantly the codes associated with the oxygen sensor issue.
