Finding Star Garnets in Idaho Part 1

We traveled to a site to find Star Garnets in the Idaho Panhandle National Forest, the Emerald Creek Garnet Area. At this time, when we traveled to the site, it was closed due to being on the off season. We were wanting to check this site out before it opened to the public. So here's a quick snip of what the general area looks like, go to see some small bits of garnets down by the beach area and went and checked out the rock pit
