Completing a game would be insanely difficult for me, but completing a game TWICE... that's insane. Props to you man for doing the new game plus videos!
MMX1 and MMX2 getting everything isn't too hard. Maybe an hour of searching for items if you have a guide, and then some tricky jumps to get the shoryuken, which actually makes the end of the game easier.
Great video! I have always enjoyed MMX2, and I honestly prefer it over MMX1. Yes, that's a bit of an unpopular opinion, and X1 does deserve the top spot as the best MMX game, but there's just something about X2 that keeps me coming back and replaying more often than X1.
Same here, while there are some things that mmx1 does better (like the weapons and even music) there is something about mmx2 as a full package that keeps me comin back more often.
Without the Completionist I would've never played the first Mega Man X, and it would've never became one of my favorite games ever, so thank you Jirard for introducing me to the X series, it's became a huge inspiration to me as someone going to school to become a game designer. Thank you again Jirard!
I think even if you dont reach your goal of re-completing all of these games(which I think you can and will), your fans will still respect and love you. I love your dedication to this man, always fun to watch you play such good games like this!
Yo, Jirard. Don't know if you'll see this, but this intro is absolutely badass. Nothing needs to be said about your formula. It's refined and polished and I love it. Keep it up.
It's honestly remarkable how well the first few Megaman X games hold up after all this time. They could be released for the first time ever today and would likely still be met with a lot of praise. They're just incredibly solid.
I genuinely love the song choices you make for your overall presentation. The X2 boss stage select theme was perfect for the bit with you sitting on the couch and preparing for the journey while setting things up for the audience. :0 Thanks for the completely straight-faced inclusion of the Soccer spin-off! That game is highly underrated. It's insanely fun with friends and even alone, it's got what is genuinely one of the best game soundtracks of the era, and the little things hidden in it (an ending and a whole bonus playable character type, available only through patch codes or hacking) make it even more interesting and unique. Plus, if you add those hidden things back in, then you get a 16-bit era completion bonus! :D
I love New Game Plus! It's a great revisiting of past episodes that I would love even if those classics were still on the channel. Keep on doing what you're doing my dude!
I hope yourself & Alex plan on doing a Beard Bros episode on this game again! It was one of my favourite episodes before it very unfortunately had to be taken down. Love to see you guys do X4 is well actually! Love the episode though dude! Great work as always!
My personal head canon is that X is an upgrade of the original Megaman and Zero is an upgrade of Bass. And that is why they are not around anymore in the X series.
One of these days, I'm gonna have to play the X series. For now, I'll just have to stick with ALL OF THE OTHER games I still need to play. Keep up the great work, Jirard!
Yeah... Jirard, the Shoryuken in X2 isn't a one-hit kill move. It does damage on every frame it's in contact with an enemy without triggering invincibility frames. If you're not dead on, bosses can survive that attack.
Still loving the NG+ content :D Going to marathon all episodes during work (I can put it on in the background and listen to them....Cheers me up while doing menial tasks). Thanks for everything you put out there Jirard! Sucks I am in the UK can miss your twitch/FB live shows though, but I will catch them one day....one day!
The shoryuken loses points over the hadouken since you have to be dead on in order for it to one-hit-kill. It apparently does multiple hits, and if you graze the opponent, be prepared to wiggle that D-pad again frantically, before you get hit by the tiniest attack.
Fun fact about the shoryuken: it saves so much time in the final levels that despite being found at the very end, it's faster for a speedrun to get 100% than it is to skip getting items.
Good video. I love Mega Man since I was 5 years old ^^ Also nice that you put the Donkey Kong Country Bonus Stage melody in the video ^.^ These 3 games gave me a headache: Xenoblade Chronicles X: Completing the bestiary, collecting all Holo Figures and getting every Achievement Bravely Default: Completing every single page in D's Journal (replayed the game at least 12 times in a row for that because I had no clues of how to unlock every Story Event and Sub Event) and 4 of every piece of equipment cuz of a perfect game file lol Hyrule Warriors: Getting every Character up to max level, every weapon and acquiring all Medals
This one is my favorite X game. That badass Zero theme.... The only bad part was: Why would you want to not fight Zero? It should be the prize for getting all 3 parts. Also it's so easy you never need to switch weapons to beat the bosses. I wish the other weapons were more useful.
Had this game growing up and never played X until much later. I have always loved X2. I have that nostalgic bias for X2 like many people have for the original game. Some of the music from this game pulls me right back to being six years old. Sigma 1's stage music from X2 is my favorite😍
Yes!! Thank you completionst. Awhile ago you said to pick some games for you to complete for New Game (+). I asked for Super Mario World and Mega Man X2 and here is one of them. This is one of my favorite games of the SNES and I appreciate you listening to my request. I'll be looking forward to the Super Mario World (+) episode someday. This was another great episode.
INCOMPLETE! Seriously, there's an extra ending for clearing without armor; Zero tags along in X's cast stroll halfway through. Jirard, are you man enough and completionist enough to take that challenge on? Plus the whole "fight Zero if you don't get all his parts" thing. Looking forward to NG+ X4! And basically any of the Mega Man Legends games (I think the original videos only did Legends 1).
stay at it bro, were all with you for the new game plus mode, even if it takes a few years, were behind you, plus, your the complettionist, failure is not an option
X2 was the first Mega Man (X) game I ever played and IMMEDIATELY became a fan of the series. Still to this day it's my fave Mega Man/ X game in the series (along with X3).
Ya know, I've been trying to figure out why I've been wanting to watch you so bad recently. I've never been the biggest fan, just the completionist ideals aren't for me and sometimes can come off as whiney for literally no reason, but I've figured it out; I want to support the person behind it. You are in all honesty such a wholesome and nice person that I cant help myself but watch your videos. I may not be the biggest fan, but I'll continue to watch all of your videos. Keep making your best content!
I miss the beard Bros play through of this game and all the fun jokes. And the fact that Jirard was on the phone for part of the final boss fight, that was awesome lol
Oh i love the X series, i think Mega Man X was the first game i got when my dad got a SNES back in... 97? BTW love your videos!!!! Keep up the good work!
I would very much love to see you redo Megaman Legends! It's a short and easy game to 100% (well... compared to some other games at least) clocking in at around 8-10 hours. It was also the first game I ever played and one of the first games you reviewed, so I'd love to see your modern take on it!
Still waiting for the recompletion of Hyrule Warriors. Wouldn't be too hard, considering you did it while on a train to meet Reggie and ended up in a Tingle costume. Kooloo Limpah!
X2 has my favorite bosses of any MegaMan game. Like I don't think any one boss here is my favorite or anything, I think I just love the cast overall. Wheel Gator is particularly sweet though.
The only way I can tolerate the unforgiving challenge of this is by abusing save states on the snes classic. I’d never finish this game without em. Still a good fun time
I love Mega Man X4. I'm replaying that right now as I just got the legacy collection on the Switch and it is so good. That said, once I'm done I'm looking forward to experiencing X2 and X3 again, as I never owned those games as a kid and only beat them as a rental. I remember them both being pretty dang fun.
Mega Man X2 was my first game of the X series and it's still my favorite. That includes the music, I think this game has one of the best soundtracks in any Mega Man game.
Watching the completionist more and more has inspired me to start completing some of my most recent favourite games to their fullest my first choice was Ac Origins it's so funnnnn
What non-boss enemy is your favorite?
mettaur 😃 first time i saw the saw them was the battle network series
in this game? Zero
my clit
The metools
I want to be the first to say it; Projared-bot T2000. Wooo! I dont think Ill be the last. What is your favorite projared cyborg?
4:15
WHY DID I NEVER THINK OF TAKING ADVANTAGE OF INVINCIBILITY DAMAGE TO GRAB THAT HEART TANK
OMG AHH YOURE RIGHT
Because you a lie son
Speed Burner: Am I a joke to you?
12:55 "because I'm a loyal friend no matter what you may have heard about me" BOOM shots fired 🔥
Chris Beach to whom?
Yeah, my jaw dropped when I heard that. 😆
I need context lol
Completing a game would be insanely difficult for me, but completing a game TWICE... that's insane. Props to you man for doing the new game plus videos!
FANTAVISION LOL I am subscribed to your channel and this channel
It's easier for these ones because the first three X games are amazing!
MMX1 and MMX2 getting everything isn't too hard. Maybe an hour of searching for items if you have a guide, and then some tricky jumps to get the shoryuken, which actually makes the end of the game easier.
@@mrbattons7181
X3 isn't great. It's an okay game, but nowhere near as good as the first two.
Now X4...holy hell, that game is amazing.
I love how Greg's pettiness has totally backfired on him and all of these new game plus episodes are awesome.
Great video! I have always enjoyed MMX2, and I honestly prefer it over MMX1. Yes, that's a bit of an unpopular opinion, and X1 does deserve the top spot as the best MMX game, but there's just something about X2 that keeps me coming back and replaying more often than X1.

RIP Green Biker Dude. You will be remembered.
F
are you a reploid REVO fan?
PLEASE complete the rest of the series! I'd love to hear your perspective on the ups and downs of this amazing franchise!
I have the Completionist to thank for getting me into Megaman X, otherwise I would've been stuck with the Classic series.
You don't mean that as a bad thing do you?
Zaid Said No. I'm just glad I like it now. Because now I have Classic and X to play.
Minus Bros. Wait how are NOT playin' X? Megaman X is the Logical step up how are you not Playin?
Minus Bros. If you haven't tried them out yet, the Zero series and the ZX games are also pretty solid steps up.
That makes me so happy!!!
Without the Completionist I would've never played the first Mega Man X, and it would've never became one of my favorite games ever, so thank you Jirard for introducing me to the X series, it's became a huge inspiration to me as someone going to school to become a game designer. The Mega Man X Series is amazing! Thank you for replaying such an awesome game!
*When you realize Jirard has to re-complete the Satanic atrocity that is Sonic 06*
thats apart of his original 120?
Get clement for that one, he's gonna need the help
At least it,s not boom
I mean Cave Story and Metal Gear Solid are gonna be the worst ones
“ But I will , But I won’t “ ❤️ the delivery on that is Comedy gold
I NEED MEGAMAN X9
Dosent everyone
Screw X9 I want a X7.5
Where is it?!
Once again, X marks the right spot!
Yeh boiiii
It's honestly remarkable how well the first few Megaman X games hold up after all this time. They could be released for the first time ever today and would likely still be met with a lot of praise. They're just incredibly solid.
X2 is a masterpiece! My favorite game in the series! Nice video man.
so cool to see you complete this again thanks to your influence I am finally playing this games can't wait to beat them just like you
Would you say that those boots are not Normal?
Zack Lumbard
Maybe in the future, those boots are indeed normal.
The fact the the heart tank jingle plays in the opening makes the all the more better
Can you complete MegaMan Zx?
The game needs more love hopefully capcom gives us ZX3
A man of culture has been found
He should play Megaman Zero first so he wouldn't spoil himself the story for that series.
xtiandg0914 As long as he plays the Zero series without aiming for S ranks. I don't wish that on anyone.
wonderiferoustea He's the completionist. He won't settle for less than S.
Shame that Tatsumaki Senpukyaku wasn't put into X3 to round out the Street Fighter moves
I genuinely love the song choices you make for your overall presentation. The X2 boss stage select theme was perfect for the bit with you sitting on the couch and preparing for the journey while setting things up for the audience. :0

Finally got to see this after your stream of Hyrule warriors the other night. I am happy to say I wasn't disappointed and in fact thrilled :)
I love New Game Plus! It's a great revisiting of past episodes that I would love even if those classics were still on the channel. Keep on doing what you're doing my dude!
Damn it Jirard, that strike chain joke has ruined my childhood. Great Vid again!
New Game Plus has a long way to go. Try not to get too emotional when you reach Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts kay?
I hope yourself & Alex plan on doing a Beard Bros episode on this game again! It was one of my favourite episodes before it very unfortunately had to be taken down. Love to see you guys do X4 is well actually! Love the episode though dude! Great work as always!
I like the suttle "cuz I'm a loyal friend no matter what you heard about me" bomb jirard dropped.
My personal head canon is that X is an upgrade of the original Megaman and Zero is an upgrade of Bass. And that is why they are not around anymore in the X series.
Ride on Green Biker Dude RIP also there is a secret Easter egg if you beat the game with no power ups
Shade Knight I remember when that happened to me the first time I used it on a boss, I was like “wait what?”
Hey that's good to know:D
Still loving the NG+ content :D Going to marathon all episodes during work (I can put it on in the background and listen to them....Cheers me up while doing menial tasks). Thanks for everything you put out there Jirard! Sucks I am in the UK can miss your twitch/FB live shows though, but I will catch them one day....one day!
Am I the only one who jams to the Wire Sponge theme while doing some chores or something? It just works.
Periwinkle Lynx it is a good song
If you're washing dishes, it's fitting!
_;)_
Ill have to try it

How dare you not mention the sacrifice of the legendary hero Green Biker Dude!
Good video. I love Mega Man since I was 5 years old ^^
Also nice that you put the Donkey Kong Country Bonus Stage melody in the video ^.^
These 3 games gave me a headache:
Xenoblade Chronicles X: Completing the bestiary, collecting all Holo Figures and getting every Achievement
Bravely Default: Completing every single page in D's Journal (replayed the game at least 12 times in a row for that because I had no clues of how to unlock every Story Event and Sub Event) and 4 of every piece of equipment cuz of a perfect game file lol
Hyrule Warriors: Getting every Character up to max level, every weapon and acquiring all Medals
I just finished X and started X2 again. Great timing! Love everything you do!
This one is my favorite X game.
That badass Zero theme.... The only bad part was: Why would you want to not fight Zero? It should be the prize for getting all 3 parts.

Now I want to boot up my PS2 and replay this bad boy on my megaman X collection! Great video as always!
There are 3 ways to get the double charge shot. 1: use the leg parts 2: use the strike chain 3: make a pixel perfect dash jump off the opposing wall.
It was great finally meeting you this weekend. Keep up the great work!
I didn’t expect this... but that’s all good. The more Mega Man, the better!
10:48 I actually could see MatPat choking on his diet coke in laughter there.
X2 was the first Mega Man (X) game I ever played and IMMEDIATELY became a fan of the series. Still to this day it's my fave Mega Man/ X game in the series (along with X3).

The Completionist is a great friend, that is if you are needed to complete a game he's playing.
Just nice to see another episode! I don't have much experience with Mega Man X so that's all I got.
X: Hey Ken can I have that new upgrade?
Ken: Shor-yu-ken!!!!!
very good pun, 11/10, sans aproves
I miss the beard Bros play through of this game and all the fun jokes. And the fact that Jirard was on the phone for part of the final boss fight, that was awesome lol
Ah, X2, the first MM X game I played. First Sigma stage has one of my favourite MM songs.
Loved the video! I picked up the X Collection myself, just have to put aside some time to work through the first four at least.
Ah, MegaMan X, my favourite iteration of MegaMan. I love that blue buster of baddies and hero of our hearts!
Been waiting literal years for this.
Man, am I glad I bought both collections digitally for Switch
Awesome, I love new game plus and love your shows in general!!! Keep up the amazing work mate
Oh i love the X series, i think Mega Man X was the first game i got when my dad got a SNES back in... 97?
BTW love your videos!!!! Keep up the good work!
I never knew that I went past the Shoryuken capsule. I'll take note of that next time I play X2
We are here for you ProJirad, you can Complete it!
I just watched X1 new game plus and you drop this. love ur vids
Always cool to see you unlock these in Mega Man
X2 was a solid entry imo, though people give the game slack cause of buffering and the X - Hunters in which I would say are pretty weak points.
I love watching these videos man keep it up!
That loyal friend burn, so good
Awesome review, seriously love your New Game Plus videos! Can't wait for you to revisit certain games.
What is a list of upcoming new game plus you finished already
I would very much love to see you redo Megaman Legends! It's a short and easy game to 100% (well... compared to some other games at least) clocking in at around 8-10 hours. It was also the first game I ever played and one of the first games you reviewed, so I'd love to see your modern take on it!
It's on PC, too.
X2 maybe is my No.4 in the X series. However the hand upgrade is the best thing ever. To see the double charge shot returned in ZX, I was so happy.
Megaman X featuring The Completionist? Instant like.
Still waiting for the recompletion of Hyrule Warriors. Wouldn't be too hard, considering you did it while on a train to meet Reggie and ended up in a Tingle costume. Kooloo Limpah!
I was waiting for this video. Great job are opinions are same except 3 optional bosses are aspiring randomly and that’s little underselling.
I just re-played this, courtesy of the Legacy Collection, and my thoughts are pretty much one to one with you.
X2 has my favorite bosses of any MegaMan game. Like I don't think any one boss here is my favorite or anything, I think I just love the cast overall. Wheel Gator is particularly sweet though.
That's some damn good shade J! Only long time watchers will know it.
Just watched In Bruges for the first time this week, that clip made me chuckle.
Your channel is Mega Man X-tremely awesome!
The only way I can tolerate the unforgiving challenge of this is by abusing save states on the snes classic. I’d never finish this game without em. Still a good fun time
X2 > X for me but I appreciate the hustle my dude. Keep it up.
Unpopular opinion: X7 was an amazing game
Now that the legacy collection is out will you finally do a completionist episode of Mega Man Zero?
I want to see you complete Hollow Knight!! Excelent video and game BTW
I hope I can see you in Portland! Almost one Mil subscribers!
So close to a million keep growing Jirard!.... Growing.... get it....nevermind.
Hey, Jirard! In a future New Game Plus video, can you please re-complete Sonic Adventure 2?
Mega Man X2 was my first game of the X series and it's still my favorite. That includes the music, I think this game has one of the best soundtracks in any Mega Man game.
X4, 5 and 6 are my favourite. The legacy collection is definitely worth the money.
Watching the completionist more and more has inspired me to start completing some of my most recent favourite games to their fullest my first choice was Ac Origins it's so funnnnn
Interesting timing since SomecallmeJohnny is currently doing a Megaman X marathon
Another great Completionist video. Thanks again, Jirard!
At 4:16 How do you wall jump off those spikes?!
