    Those eggs would make cute and useful place mats...maybe without much batting.

    I had a coworker who had kids in 4 H and they showed chickens….my friend had the best chicken, she was a buff colored Polish chicken, she was more like a pet puppy and would come on my friends deck or sit in her lap while my friend was on her swing,the chicken was a sweetheart ….you need to get one of those chickens….love your tube stuff, keep it up

      Sister is a buff Orpington chicken, the breed is very mellow and huggable. My friend has had Polish chickens in her flock and while they’re beautiful they are such a passive bird the other hens always peck them into a corner.
      I do love my girls 🐔🐥🐓

    Love love love your Irish Chain/Minky quilt. Minky is hard to quilt, it stretches.

    • @sisterchicksquilting
      @sisterchicksquilting  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess I’ve quilted it so many times that I’ve figured out how to not stretch it. Do you quilt it on a domestic? I think that would be hard and that it would stretch more. It is my favorite backing.
      Thanks for watching 😍❣️

    ?? A couple more questions for your upcoming Q&A--1. Do you have any tips on using a directional backing, such as stripes? 2. I spend hours getting my king size quilt tops ready to go to the longarmer clipping and picking off threads from the backside of the top and then going over the topside also. How thread-free does the backside actually need to be and do you have any tips to make it easier to get my least favorite part of the whole process done?

      Thanks so much! And that is one of the reasons I love backing a quilt with Cuddle, the long nap allows the quilting designs to shine!

    I love this! I might modify the size and layout to make it a mini wall hanging as I have an area with a hanger that I change out seasonally. Super cute! Thanks again for the inspiration! 🐥

    I've gotten to where I will only use monofilament in my needle and a neutral thread in the bobbin when I applique'. It's so forgiving. The cuddle really shows off the quilting pattern. I like that! Thanks for sharing.

    • @sisterchicksquilting
      @sisterchicksquilting  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great minds :), I forogot to say I use Superior Threads monofilimant, however, I'm not really sure it makes a difference.
      I know so many longarm quilters who won't put Cuddle on the back because of the stretch. On the other hand, I probably quilt 25% - 30% of customers quilts with Cuddle on the backing. Don't fear the stretch!
      Thank you for watching!

    ?? I know you use a lot of minky for backing. Since minky doesn't shrink, do you prewash your quilt top before you add the back?
