Thanks for the inspiration to get a table runner done. It is an easy project and I should be able to get it done in no time. I am thinking of making some with my grandchildren who like to sew with Gramy. I need to go back and watch this again to see what measurements you had. Thanks again.
My table is 7 ft 1 in, would this fit, I am new to this. I bought material to cut, not a jelly roll. So I have my work cut out for me. I love how you go through every step and explain it so well. thanks for all you do
I have fall fabrics, halloween and thanksgiving, left over from another project. This will be PERFECT. PS. I gave some scrappy placemats to my sister for her 2 cats and her dog. Come on, they are family too. I gave them a couple coats of scotch gard first. Good for Mom's too!
Hi Donna, I was reading these comments and I ran across yours. I had to go back and watch the video of his machine. You know, I have a table runner under mine to protect the cabinet. You should make a table runner for under yours.
Quick question.... after sewing the binding onto the back of your table runner and you flip it over to sew on the front side of the runner, do you press the binding so it stays better, do you pin it at all, or are you able to sew, turn, and hold it all at once? I have not tried that but I feel intimidated by that process. TIA for any advice.
It stays pretty lined up so you don’t have to do those things but you can if you want. I still will iron it over now and then but I don’t pin it or anything. I use to when I started binding but I get better results and less puckers if I don’t.
I use to have just one that I got from a friend. It made really small binding and I didn't like it but I know they come in different sizes, I'll have to give them another try. Thanks!
are you making a string quilt on your design wall in the opening of the video? it would also be helpful to include fabric dimensions in the description box.

That's a great idea about the scotch guard!! Totally gonna have to try that!
great idea and cute fabric :D
It´s an easy technic and a good video.
Ooh nice!!
thanks for the video what is that under your sewing machine and does it help with the vibrations of the machine thanks
It's non-slip shelf liner. Very cheap to buy and yes it helps with the vibration and keeps the machine from hopping around. Thanks for watching!

@@ScrappyPatch thank you.
You need to buy you a set of seam binding makers. I’ve had mine for years and love them. They are not expensive.

They have some really big ones now.

Yes that is the starts of a string quilt. Oh ok!! Thanks for the feed back!
Yes, fabric dimensions in description box would be great!
