Love this project! I bought an orange jelly roll and it made 3 of them! Also bought the pattern, my daughter is a registered dietician and I plan on making all the veggies for her bulletin board outside her office! Adorable…Thanks for your tutorial, it was great!
Great job on this video. We are The Quilted Forest, which is the home of Pieced Tree Patterns, and you did a great job with our pattern. You even gave us a couple ideas of how to make it even better. Great job, and keep up the great work!!! Happy Quilting!
Oh my gosh! I’m glad you saw the video, your comments made my day 🥰❣️ You’ve got really cute patterns and I know that at least 3 viewers have gone to your site to purchase your pattern because I put the wrong link up the first time then corrected it. 🥴 Happy Quilting backatcha!
Hey The Quilted Forest, I clicked on the link to buy your pattern, but it's not available. Then went to the link for the free pdf but have to login in to get it and can't seem to sign up. Is it available anywhere else?
@@pwile2002 forgot to mention that the link to the downloadable carrot pdf is to a site by All People Quilt, which we are not affiliated with, so we do not have any control on how to login or access it.
You are so inspiring to me! I am a very new quilter and find your smaller projects just the right size and time commitment as I begin this journey. I've watch ALL of your videos. Keep them coming please.
I learned two new technique ideas from this video today. Thank you. You have a gift for teaching and also for keeping it light when there is a little mistake. We are all human after all and your little moments make me feel mine are acceptable too!
Thank you so much Barbara, Yes, human we are and I make mistakes all the time. I should start saving them for a blooper reel. Thanks for watching, I appreciate you!
Hi from South Africa 🇿🇦Lol when I saw it before you cut it, I thought it looks like Africa and then I thought wow what a great idea for a wall hanging. I'm going to do it in African colours, maybe African prints. Wow how we get inspired 😂❤ thanks for this video
Another busy day for me getting things done and organized for Monday's filming. I so enjoy sitting with my hand quilting and watching your video! I hope you have an amazing day! Thanks for posting this video.
Oh just a note your color book scrap quilt was so cute. I ordered some news print, economical. may even make place mats! I have a lot of 2.5 inch strips, will put on a diagional.Oh the carrot is so cute!! I would love to see that binding technique again. I will need to get one of those feet for my Husquvarna.
That carrot is beyond adorable! What a conversation piece. Just too cute. I now want the pattern! Who knew??? Great job....thanks a "bunch"!.... of carrots...
This is so cute, and big! Great for a table runner but I'd also use it as a wall hanging. I'll have to look to see if I have a binding foot, as I have a heck of a time trying to stitch in the ditch and then hope that my needle is hitting the backside in the right place. Your binding looks perfect. Thanks again for sharing your tips and creations.
This table runner is very cute. I use Handi Wipes for pressing cloths as well. I’ve never made bias binding but maybe I can figure it out lol. I like all the veges in this pattern. Great tutorial Di, you make it look sew easy. Have a great week and take care! 💕 🥕
This was my second time ever using bias binding, I really like it. My “grail” quilt will be one with a scalloped edge that def uses bias binding. This was Sew easy. You have a great week too. TFW😍❣️
I have that foot and I’m going to use it the next time I do binding. The carrot table runner is so cute. Thanks for sharing, learning something new again.
You’re so welcome, Abeullah. When you do be careful not to stretch your binding. I have a few quilts with ruffley bindings but have since gotten my groove down with that foot. Thank you for watching 😍❣️
The runner turned out so cute! I'm with you - wouldn't think twice about having cream thread on the back. Di, I have had luck with removing the paper backing from my fabric after I've ironed the fusible by folding the very edge of the fabric to the paper side. Works like a charm every time. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! 😊 Next week's video is an Easter pillow case and I'm showing the quilted/finished egg table runner. Hazel's Mom picked out the cutest quilting design! Hope to see you then, thanks for watching!!
So cute! I wish I had seen this before I made Easter table runners for my 3 daughters, daughter-in-law and granddaughter-in-law. Will do it for next year. Think it would look cute on a door, what do you think?
It does look cute as a wall hanging but the green too will flop. I bet you can figure out a way to stop the flop. Thanks for watching and happy Easter ❣️
This made for a fun, quick afternoon project. I didn’t need the pattern because it was easy enough to figure out, but for those who do, follow the pattern link given and you’ll see a link to the free carrot PDF pattern.
Thanks for asking Donna. I probably won’t. I only liked the carrot. I’m 😞 it’s exactly the same process on a different shape. Thanks for watching my channel, I appreciate you👍🏼😊♥️🐥
Would it be possible to sandwich the green fabric, wonder under, and stabilizer, THEN trace out the pattern and sew before cutting leaves? It struck me that that might be easier.
I don’t know, you’ll have to try both ways because after making four of them I’m not sure I have it in me to make another 😂🤣😂. Thanks for watching and commenting🐥
That was tricky, I think I taped several sheets of printer paper together and traced it. then used that for my pattern! I'm excited you're making the carrot. Enjoy it's such a fun make!!!
Ba Da Bing -- Ba Da Boom is correct. It turned out really nice. That foot made the binding perfect. I need to look through the feet for my machine and see if there is something like that. (You didn't say "stinkin cute" even once).
😂🤣I love your comments Cynthia😍 When i showed The Engineer we had a good laugh. Yes, find that foot. You just have to be real careful not to pull/stretch your binding as I was so used to using a walking foot. Thanks for watching & commenting. ❣️
Thank you! I had their wrong site up and just changed the link in my description. You can order it now. Thank you for watching and your comment Joyce 😍❣️

I like the carrot 🥕. It would make a great dog bowl’s mat. For the dogs I care for
😂, it would, right?!?! Thank you for watching❣️
Maybe add a vinyl covering (both sides) for easier cleanup & save having to throw it into the wash frequently.
@@nancy-katharynmcgraw2669 somewhere I've seen how you make vinyl iron on to make fabric into see through like for aprons. One of the bigger channels

Another fantastic project. Thanks for taking us along while you made it. I like the engineer’s music choice for this video!
Thanks Genia! I’ll tell The Engineer🤣❣️
Hi Di, Your table runner turned out fantastic. And I like the frilly green stem. I hope you and the Engineer have a good weekend. Take care, 🥰 Chris
Hey Chris,

I just got my pattern how do I cut the pattern all the fruits are in one paper?
That was tricky, I think I taped several sheets of printer paper together and traced it. then used that for my pattern! I'm excited you're making the carrot. Enjoy it's such a fun make!!!
If you use a pin to scratch the paper, it will give you a good starting place to remove the paper.
Great tip!!! I tried it and it works well!
Thank you!!! An thanks for watching!
I wish you would have shown adding the top onto the carrot as well. Other wise good tutorial
I’m sorry, it’s just zigged on them to stitched down. 🥕😊🐥 TFW
This pattern is now free l downloaded it just the other day.
👍🏼 Thanks for watching❣️
How big is the carret?
It's 35" long and 15" wide. Mine was a tad larger than the pattern becuase I jsut cut it and didn't use thier second template to trim it.
