Great video. Thanks for sharing! I've a new GLP HP 2017, and I'm going to re-string for the first time - so, very glad to have watched your video first :)
According to the G-Force manual, the wraps of the Low E, A & D, above the flange should go clockwise (the same direction as the cap screws on) not anti-clackwise.
Taking all of the strings off at once probably saves time. BUT it completely releases all of the tension on the neck and truss rod in the neck, which have settled. Then it will have to re-settle again once the new strings are on, which can cause tuning issues until it settles. And it could even result in having to readjust the saddle screws in order re-tune the string intonation for fret note accuracy as you play up the neck. Doing one string at a time maintains the tension on the neck and rod, and is less likely to cause these issues.
Thanks for sharing, I have 3 guitars with G Force and this last string change I developed a problem with the high e on an SG, nevertheless you did a great job very clear, :-)
Sorry i have to say that by but this is most informative video about G Force on TH-cam :) I'm on the market for a new Gibson and now I'm sure that G Force works as it should in right hands. Thank you!
Good to know mate. I got an SG this year with the g-Force. I didn't buy it because the tuning system but the price. I have read so many negative comments about the g-force. It's nice to get a good tuning in seconds, anyway if for some reason it breaks down, I will get grover rotomatics.
I wish Gibson would connect the G-Force tuner thing to Bluetooth - so you could control it with your phone. The manual on that thing is quite large because it will do a lot of stuff - I'll never remember all of it. I emailed them but as far as companies go- Gibson isn't the best at customer service (to say it nicely)
Never use a screwdriver on those caps! Are you trying to damage them? Proper tool is a US penny. The slot has a radiused bottom that accepts the radius of the coin perfectly. The flat of a tool steel screwdriver assures damage; the softer material of a penny will cause none. Everyone is an expert on youtube. Viewer beware😉
One only needs an average IQ to figure out that these tuners will not last a couple of years due to mechanical /electrical wear and tear. I don't understand why would anyone want to buy these POS that's bound to fail (guilty!) . Had these on my SG and Oh my God they were terrible, glad I sold it before it broke down lol
That was really informative 😮
I just bought a used one, with no manual.

Fantasy.
FYI the manual from Tronical says to use a coin instead of a screwdriver because it safeguards against putting too much torque on the servos.
gracias querido amigo, acabo de comprar la les Paul Standard y no sabia como cambiar el encordado. Abrazo.

Thanks for watching!
Would be nice to actually SEE how to wrap the strings around the posts!!!
Thank you.
Very good information
Thank you so much very clear explanation and nice Tag by the way. :)
Great video the best one I found so far on G Force thanks! Should you leave an inch of slack for each string?
I have ETune Gibson, but the two lowest strings does not get tight?
How do you keep the nut from coming off and messed up during the restring as well as keeping the bridge aligned when it comes off?

Holy fuck! The funniest comment ever dude!
If you need such a gadget you are not a guitarist. This is so easy to tune a guitar
but is this really an 2016 ????
It's a 2015.
