  • How to Cook a Prime Rib Roast on a Smoker | Smoked Prime Rib Recipe on the Pit Boss // This week we're making possibly one of the "fanciest" smoked meats so far on the channel - prime rib! But not just prime rib - a prime rib ROAST! That's right, 6.5 pounds of delicious beefy goodness. Is this one of the best steaks ever? Watch and find out! Also, I have no idea how to pronounce "worchestershire."

What's up, Holy Smokes!? Fellow Pennsylvanian (Central) here and ordered this bone-in prime rib roast cut from a local Amish butcher. I'm picking the meat up Saturday and doing my first smoke of the year on Sunday since it's supposed to be 80 degrees. Plan on using this recipe so here is hoping it turns out well.

Looks great... but i do have a question does the black pepper become an overwhelming tast? (Does it tast to much like black pepper) i wanna try this recipe but i also have picky eaters. Hope to hear from u. Thanks

Hey Nate! I’ve found that the bigger the cut of meat the more seasoning it can take without becoming overwhelming. In this case it was perfect for me, but a little less pepper would certainly be fine. Thanks so much for watching!

Alright anyone whos ever did the fool proof simple prime rib , with just kosher salt already knows THATS the only way to do a prime rib. But you have a lockheart smoker. And thus the ability to produce the worlds best beef jerky. Start with bottom round. No brainer there. The rest of ingredients to follow 😃
