Hi Federico, It‘s a pleasure to follow your Videos. I like your kind of humor 😁 As a german its much easier to follow your channel in engl. Great Community 👍 🙋♂️
Hi Frederico , my current helmets are Ekoi which I love , but that S Works looks the part I may have a try of that 👍 and for the record I am 68 you are never too old for anything keep pedalling 👍
I have to say that helmet fits you great ! It looks very good on you! I’ve seen that helmet on other people and it doesn’t look good. However, you make that helmet look awesome.
At 57 the first words spoken in your video were my thoughts about myself. It looks great on you, I only wish I had the complexion for red, I'm going to have to settle for white. What a great group, very upbeat and the location looks gorgeous.
Well done Federico. I see you past by your old friend “The Nutcracker” @1:35 😂😂😂. Always a pleasure watching your reviews. Passa una belle giornata! Tanti saluti.
I've using Evade-3 for a month, biggest difference than Evade-1 is crosswinds. It is much smoother and faster when the wind blows sides. Headwinds feels same as Evade-1
Great video Fede I enjoyed that you’ll have to start making 30 minute videos 😂. As an older gent 57 years young ( soon to be 58 in September) I like to have the nice things too !!! I’m the owner of the S WORKS Evade 2 which I really love , it is quite a hot helmet to wear when we actually get some summer weather . You keep wearing what you want mate especially if it’s making you feel good 👍🏽. I’m not even half as fast as you but nothing wrong with looking fast !!!! Keep up the good work, keep riding fast and btw red suits you well sir 👍🏽💪🏾
You seem to be in a great shape Richie! I am always conscious of the video length, not sure if my blabbering could be accepted for as long as 30 min hahaha
Federico you are not "old school". I've just sold my, disc brake 2022 Giant TCR, to go back to my Colnago C60. Mine was a conscious decision to be, so to say, "old school" like you :) No regrets, just pure joy to be back on what simply works (without the "S").
Hi Federico, the helmet looks amazing on you. I have the previous evade and it feels a little eggy. Out of interest what bike are you riding, it looks gorgeous?
Thank you. That silver arrow was my Velobuild VB-R-068, a Specialized Venge rim brake replica. Unfortunately it got stolen last month, together with my Canyon Ultimate. Now I have an Aeroad rim
"sworks perfectly" - b'dum! Helmet looks great, but really glad you're enjoying electronic shifting. I think everyone who has tried it appreciates that "shifting just because" aspect. I resisted Di2 for a long time but I reckon once you've - ahem - shifted to it, there's no going back. (ETA: I should say, I haven't got stuck in a gear yet because I forgot to charge it. When that happens my enthusiasm may wane slightly)
Being a middle-aged (or slightly over mid age :) ) new cyclist myself, you are in inspiration for me. I guess a nice bike works better than a Porsche to get over the mid-age crisis as it makes you fitter and feel younger. I also have young and fast riders in my group rides and it feels great to be able to keep up with them.
@@fede1275 Was watching this again today as I am looking for a new helmet. Do you still like it? How was it during the recent heat wave? I came off the bike today and hit my helmet to the tarmac. There is a small dent on it, may be it is ok to use but it is a good idea not to risk it just in case. The only thing which I am not sure about it the back part. It looks a bit long and out of proportion but lots of people says it looks good.
I really like the odd long shape, it's the distinctive feature. It's not the coolest helmet, but can still be used. If you want the most vented you might want POC, but I like the aero shape of the Evade.
Nice helmet! Here in Canada most helmets in the shops comply with the American CPSC standard and they are generally heavier and appear more mushroom-like (on me at least). My head is long as opposed to wide, so Euro-standard helmets like yours generally fit better. Btw, it looks like a really nice ride. My mum was from the Henley area and it was nice to see some familiar sites.❤
I found my POC Octal to be very light and ventilation was the best, but might be too wide to be aero. Not sure about the Ventral, but this also look wide. Definitely feel safer.
It is not easy, maybe overall the Trenta is more versatile as lighter and more ventilated while still being aero. But the Evade (I think you mean this one) is more race focused and maybe even more aero at speed. Difficult choice.
I also have the Trenta and the Manta, I think the magnetic clip is a gimmick and prefer the traditional clip on the Trenta. If I'm being picky, I'd say the magnetic clip feels bulky.
All I can see is your bald skull. I'd be careful with sun burns, your skull really looks exposed to the sun in there. You make a good point with the narrow frontal area of the helmet, that's probably the main aero benefit, it's just narrow!
Yes, I usually put sun cream, but might need to top up! There was an aero test a while ago, where the Trenta proved really aero as it is also quite narrow, where the POC Ventral is wider and was deemed to be less efficient, even if the shape was designed to be aero. Exposed surface is very important I guess, same as wide and narrow tyres, but this is for another video!
Honestly I think it looks great on you!
That's what I wanted to hear!!
Nothing like being greeted by friends like that! The excitement and maybe a touch of envy. Love It Federico!!
That was a genuine surprise!!

Thank you! I tried an Ekoi, but I found out that it was better for round shaped head, at least that model. But I love their designs
Haha thanks for the shout out!! And also thanks for destroying me when you came to the front 🤪
I was faking indifference, hahaha
Love Red! thanks for another beautiful video!
Haha .. the best! It is true, there are some beautiful helmets that make them irresistibles, good collection!
The helmet suits you very well! Color is 🔥
The helmet looks great and good colour choice
So many wear white and good to stand out from the crowd a little

Of course, what is the point of the ride otherwise? 🤣
Nice helmet Federico, but then I'm biased I have the same one in white.....btw it suits you👍
The helmet looks great. The colour suits you. So far so good on the gruppo. Tell me, is the helmet as quiet as it looks?
Yes, very smooth and no much air turbulence

Federico, where did you buy the Doyenne handlebars from? Brian
I got them from Wiggle, before they went down
