  • I show how I made a trench themed command base for my Death Korp of Krieg army. These techniques could also be used for a variety of historical gaming as well.

      Luckily this guy was from a broken bits ebay auction or else it would not be worth cutting one up lol.

    The back of the trench reminds me of the wall of martyrs with the skeletons of cadian guardsmen.

      Indeed it does, nothing is more grim death than life in the imperial guard. Thanks for watching!

    Excellent! It really has the look of a W.W. I trench from the many photos I have seen of the war.

      Thanks! Never been a big fan of sci-fi but the historical look of the miniatures has definitely roped me in.

    very cool, but kriegers salavage all the gear off dead troops during the battle they die in, so it would have been more lore friendly to have a non-krieger (or a kriger without helmet and gasmask, etc) stuck in the trench wall

      Thanks! I always want every angle of a command base to catch your eye...really had to rack my brain to think of a way to make a mud wall interesting, but I think it payed off.

      I haven't used clay on making any terrain stuff, looks like it has a lot of potential. I would like to ask, where did you get your clay from? Thanks.

    Question how hard is air dried clay compared to normal clay?
    What i am thinking about here is if i used this on the tabletop and it feel on the floor would i basically be throwing out ALOT of work.
    Or would it be able to handle several drops to the floor?

  • @schaeefer

    Looks amazing. Probably s stupid question but at like 4.23 you smoothed out the planks so they don't overhang the rim, how did you do that without them falling off?

  • @TrelarysVT
    @TrelarysVT 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What paint did you use for that shade of black on their coats?

    • @RedBeardBaron
      @RedBeardBaron  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use the secret weapon miniatures black tire and then I just mix in ivory to get my different tones. It is a very nice blue black and makes a really nice blueish grey mid tone with the ivory.

      Thanks. I’m trying to paint my own
      death korps of Krieg guardsmen
      And there are no tutorials on how to paint the “5th siege regiment”
      who happen to have black trench coats

    • @RedBeardBaron

      I have a video of how I painted them here where I go more in depth with my recipe. th-cam.com/video/wqokZkdDOvM/w-d-xo.html
