    Thank you for the video. I recently decided that I want to build Death Guard and I want a destroyed urban area styled base and this video really helped.

    The corrugated iron on copper pipe base is amazing. Great video.

      Thanks! Think that base turned out to be the best of the bunch.

    When using the plastic canvas as vertical fencing, I like to angle it 45 degrees (so it looks like little diamonds instead of little squares). It better resembles the chain link fence we see on a daily basis that way and also seems to look slightly less obvious that you're just using the good 'ol plastic canvas.

      Good call! Didn't even notice I didn't orient it correctly, will have to watch out for that in the future!

      Horizontal presentation looks somewhat similar to pig/sheep fencing.

      Thanks! For being ancient, those models still hold up surprisingly well.

    If anyone is looking for the plastic canvas it's called cross stitching mesh or granny grating

      +Chris P. Bacon Thanks! Its amazing how a simple paint job can transform junk lying around.

    In defense of the Nihilakh Oxide on the corrugated steel/cardboard; galvanized steel sometimes oxidizes in strange ways.

    Great stuff!!! I will be using some of these idea's + some of my own tricks and I think I'm in for some great ^new look^ bases. Thanks!

      Thanks! I was happy with how they turned out and am now tempted to rebase several squads with more boring bases.

    Very nice! Another genius video using extra plastic parts to represent ruble and bricks. Where do get you cork pieces from? Thanks for a great video.

    • @RedBeardBaron
      @RedBeardBaron  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! I think the sprue bricks turned out better than expected. I get the cork sheets in the bulletin board/scrap booking section of the hobby store. Great stuff.

    Hello, I know I am late to the party, but I was wondering how did you connect the minatures to the base?
    From what little I know paint doesn't connect that well with glue.

    • @RedBeardBaron
      @RedBeardBaron  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If I am gluing to that base then I just use super glue. If I am attaching to cork board, resin, or some other material then I drill a hole in the feet and insert a bit of cut paperclip. Then drill holes in the base and attach that with super glue.
