Thank you for the video, Dan! She runs impressively and sounds really, really good - music to these old ears 🙂 Can you post any details about the prop, rpm, speed etc?
Thanks! Yes, I am still getting her set up so not fully sorted yet. I am currently running a Michigan Dynajet prop, 10x9 and I'm getting 4100 RPM, the engine needs to pull around 5000 so I've got a little way to go yet. I will get the prop altered again to get me to the right revs and then probably have one custom made to what I need. At that I am getting 28MPH so I'd hope to get early 30's eventually. It's fast enough to put a smile on my face :) I also need to get the weight balance aft a bit more so the addition of a fixed fuel tank behind the seat should help with that. All small refinements.
Beautiful. I'm not a boater. I'm an enjoyer of nice wood machines and structures.

purrrrfect idle noise, too...
Amazing! What's the max MPH on your boat?
I'm getting around 28mph here, should see early 30's once I have everything setup.
That shows how level hydroplanes ride.
Yes, the hull is quite flat on this boat.

Oh man I didn’t know I was going to get wet
Oh yes, there are some big ribs that run trips around the bay and when you hit their wash you get soaked! Not soo bad on a hot day though.
