Of course it is not decent to throw a plastic bottle in the ocean....But I have been sitting here for years watching fishing boats with sometimes 6 times 450 horsepower at the transom....We are talking about console boats with 1 fat captain, 6 bikini models and 5 fishing rods.... As if that's so fantastic for the climate and the oceans in particular... Virtue signaling for the stage and hypocritical.....
To all of the inconsiderate slobs ( litter bugs ) who go boating. If you want to live in trash at home , that is your choice but do not trash up the waters. Anyone throwing anything in the water and caught by your cameras needs to be summoned or arrested for littering.
Unless the camera makes the channel seem narrower than it really is, aren't those somewhat insane speeds to be doing in a crowded waterway? Glad I'm on Puget Sound where, despite the numerous instant millionaires, the presence of an active professional maritime industry and heritage keeps things mostly under sane control.
2:49 - With the boat rego clearly visible on the side, that's a littering fine, no? Hope she forever has to get up to wee during the night, and stubbs her toes every time.
The fish is a Permit (Trachinotus falcatus). Looks too big to be a Pompano. It is rare that you would catch one like that in the inlet there. They are usually found around shipwrecks and the flats of south Florida and other tropical and sub-tropical climates. Nice catch. Most anglers release them as, but they do eat well.
Watching from Belize central america I'm from and i agree totally !! You're a fish experts!! Respect to you!! Many tourists from Florida visit Belize central america!!🇧🇿🇺🇸
Curious, I notice that on a number of the single hull boats near the front area where the water meets the bow there are some sort of slot in the hull. What is the purpose of these slots?
Scarab Boats was founded by Larry Smith, in Marina Del Rey, California in 1974. Wellcraft also built Scarab boats designed by Larry on license from 1975 and on.
after he was sued by Don Aronow for stealing the design of the Donzi, Cigarette, and Magnum Marine. Don Aronow designed those boats Larry just plagiarized them, much like Albert Einstein did with the Theory of Relativity.
@@MasterWitchDoctor Don Aronow never sued Larry Smith, they were buddies. There was a rumor that a Magnum Marine 27 was in Larry's facility before he came out with his first boat in 1975, which was his 29'9" Team Scarab 9 Meter. The Magnum 27 and the Team Scarab 9 Meter hulls don't even have the same deadrise. The Magnum 27' has got a transom deadrise of 24 degrees, and the Team Scarab 29'9" a 23 deadrise. Please keep Your version of history to Yourself, and feel free to reach out to Mr. Smith, he's now living in Carpinteria, California. @@MasterWitchDoctor There's absolutely no truth to Your comment. Not even the deadrise of the Magnum 27 and the Team Scarab 9 Meter was the same and the Scarab had a 7'6" versus the Magnum's 8-foot beam. Seeing the two Fountains reminded me of the Fall Powerboat Show in my hometown of Annapolis,Md. Reggie Fountain was always sure to be there and was (at that time) something of a celebrity. Good times!
I don't like the distinctive downward sloping bow shape of the Midnight Express boats, it may look "cool" but functionally that seems like it would be easier for a water to rise over the bow. Style over function. I prefer a Nor-Tech over an ME for sure. Anyone agree with this?
@@LarsLindroth no, it’s distinctly a midnight express feature of the bow line to curve DOWN towards the water 💦. Worst in class design for seaworthiness
I’m from Northwestern Ontario, Canada(Google it😜). My guess is it’s a yellow fin tuna? Please correct me if I’m wrong. Love your videos. These boats are awesome.
I'm pretty sure the fish is a Pompano, not sure if anybody already answered, though. (Edit) I see somebody posted that it is a Permit, and that's probably right. If this was a Pompano, it's a big one.

Much appreciated!
This might be one of the best videos ever, great job, thanks for making it Boat Zone.............................
Throwing a water bottle right into the ocean. I wish she got a nice fine for that.

@fallie9224 yeah your right, but at the same time just outright throwing plastic in the ocean is BS, and only something a moron would do.
ALWAYS GREAT to see my buddy Kev Driving Crocket's boat! One of the NICEST guys you'll ever meet!🤩
The bottle flying back at her would have been better.
Another great video, thank you. Amazing work!

Too many logs in the sound for fast boats. That is why they used to hold the races in Lake Washington.
It's the lens, Haulover is ~370' wide. A lot of what appear to be extremely close calls in these videos are really boats dozens of feet apart or more.
Excellent video today!
how long til they change the name of the Inlet to "Midnight Express" inlet. Seems to be 50% of the traffic

The sloping bow design is to get better visibility when getting on or off plane. The Nor-Tech v-hulls got a pretty pronounced sloping bow too.

The other fish being shown around 8:48 are Dolphin fish ,also called Mahi Mahi.
02:49 Can I ask WHY? 🤔
8:42 Makes me ask how much those fish cost when you figure the cost to take the boat out to catch them. Then there is the cost of the boat itself.
Much in the same way when asking the purpose of a fast car, the answer is if you don't get it, you won't get it.
1st Midnight Express look to be carbon fiber, way less weight than fiberglass even with all engines working on the 2nd boat it would be faster.
So what's the mystery boat????
The sail yacht nailed it at the end there's no way that yacht can enter or exit on a rough day
